Of the five tacos I tried, the crispy grouper was my favorite. The chipotle aioli and citrus slaw made for a tasty blend, and the fish had a light, crispy crunch. The Big Mick taco tastes like a Big Mac and is a unique must-try (it comes with the sauce and pickles). We also enjoyed the chicken, baja shrimp, and al pastor tacos. The staff was friendly and gave their opinions on different tacos, and the location is fantastic too. We walked to the theater after for games and a movie -- it's a fun date spot! We ordered at the register, they gave us a number and then delivered the food to our table. The cashier was very accomodating and kind. I asked if there were any mocktails, but unfortunately there weren't. There were multiple types of alcoholic beverages behind where you order including different margarita flavors. We ordered the trio of street corn, mild salsa and guacamole to start which ended up being a better deal than just guac alone! The street corn is an absolute MUST! It's so creamy and cheesy. SO delicious. The guacamole is also extremely creamy and the flavors blended perfectly. I got a carne asada taco and a chicken taco. Out of all of the taco places I've tried around the area, I must say that Dos Amigos has got THE BEST recipe for the softest, most tender chicken!!! It was melt in your mouth type of incredible, which I have NOT found in other taco spots. There were tomatos and shredded cheese on the tacos as well. I had heard of this restaurant but had never been there. Today I had to make an exchange at another store in the Delray Marketplace so I decided to go around dinner time. Tonight, parking was HORRIBLE. There are several Wednesdays in which there is live music at this location so parking was tough. There are plenty of spaces but they are not near this restaurant. That said, I ordered a beef taco and a chicken taco. I thought the beef taco was delicious. The meat was delicious. The tacos were filled nicely and not at all skimpy. The staff advised us to try a few of the many hot sauces that were displayed on the counter. They offer a huge outside patio although it was drizzling so we sat inside at a table surrounded by various sized skulls painted on the walls. Even the clean bathroom continued the ambiance with mosaic skulls embossed around the mirror and a painting of a skull sitting on the toilet. Awesome tacos!! We came here while on vacation in Delray and had a fabulous dinner! The restaurant is super fun and colourful. It's a casual place so you order at the counter and someone brings you your food. They also have outdoor seating so you can enjoy your meal outside. We ordered 3 tacos each and the chips and dip trio which we opted for the salsa, guacamole and street corn. Oh man everything was so good! I got the shrimp taco, a fish taco and the gringo taco and I can't even decide which I liked the best, they were all so tasty! While this is not an authentic Mexican restaurant, I really enjoyed the fun variations of tacos they had. All the tacos range from $5-$6 if I recall, and you can mix and match/order as many or as few as you want, which is great for trying a bunch of different flavours. The tacos are packed full of ingredients which makes it messy but in a good way! The dip trio was also amazing, I really enjoyed all three dips but the corn and guacamole were standouts. Service was very friendly and super fast. Our food came out in about 5 minutes which was great because we were dining with an infant. Overall such a fun place with delicious food. We had a really good lunch here a few weeks back. Staff was friendly and helpful. And we were checked on several times. This fast casual restaurant has been in this location about two years. My husband ordered their burrito and added in ground beef. This was a huge portion -- that made two meals. It was jam packed with rice, and black beans, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. I'm probably leaving something out. He added some sweet hot sauce (bottles from which to choose are by the register). He thought it was messy, but really good. I had two tacos. One of them was their "traditional" birria taco. It came on a hard-shell corn tortilla. I asked for no onions. It was a mix of soft, shredded brisket with melted cheese. It came with a side of dipping "sauce" -- the drippings (?) which they called consommé. I also had a monthly special (which I'm told sells out each time they've offered it.) This was the third time it's been on special. Their "crispy Maine lobster" taco had pieces of lobster tail fried in a light batter. It was on top of a creamy slaw and served on a soft flour tortilla. It was a good combo of the seafood and crunch of the slaw. As much as I like birria tacos, I liked this one better. They have various drinks including jarritos, but we had a soft drink. They carry Pepsi products (not my favorite), but we liked their root beer. Looking forward to trying some of their other properties. You order first and wait for your food to be ready. There were plenty of seating and a self serve soda fountain machine. I tried the mexican street corn with this meal and I didn't like the chips that came with it. It was too cold inside for my friend and I so we sat outside in their patio seating. The only issue with that is there were plenty of flies around. Overall, I liked the al pastor and shrimp taco which I asked both to be made in a flour tortilla. Went on Saturday night approx 7PM - ordered a beef taco and nachos regular with steak. The taco was okay but overloaded with cold queso sauce. After I removed the queso it was decent. The nachos delivered a huge plate. Unfortunately. covered with a cold queso sauce with little taste - the steak was completely tasteless and definitely had been pre-prepared for a long time and dry. I can't come to a place called Dos Amigos Tacos and not order tacos, so I picked the crispy grouper, mojo pork, and traditional birria. My husband ordered seared ahi tuna, Korean pork belly, and a chicken taco. In order of deliciousness, I'd say the crispy grouper came in first, followed closely by the birria and the Korean pork belly. I'm usually disappointed with fish tacos because they are lacking flavor somewhere, but I always give them a try when I go to a new restaurant because I'm hopeful I'll find a gem...and here it was. I was surprised by how well the grouper held its crispy battered shell. when you bite into the flour tortilla you get a mouthful of different textures and flavors all at once coming from the fish, the cabbage slaw, and salsa- they nailed it. The birria was a little messy but they really don't skimp on the toppings or meat. The Korean pork belly taco was perfectly cooked with crispy edges and coated in a sweet sauce. The mojo pork on the other hand was pretty dry, and I had to use the consommé from the birria taco to give it some life. I have no comment on the chicken or ahi tuna tacos because they didn't interest me, BUT I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.
