I attended the fall festival today and their food truck was out there. The service was quick and efficient. I only for a drink from there this time and it soooo delicious. I ordered the passion fruit juice and I love that it wasn't super sweet, it was nice and refreshing for a hot summer day! Will be back to try their food!

This was my second time eating from the Picnic, but my first time for delivery. Even though delivery was not super close, the food was nice and warm when I received it. The brisket is top notch. I got the brisket tacos and brisket tostada. It was tender and flavorful, and I loved the crunch of the tostada. The eating the dishes was a generous portion. The corn was not my favorite, but it was good to use as an additional topping. The fried cheese was good - almost like a cheese spring roll, with the exterior having a nice crunch. I even managed to save some of the food as leftovers, and it still tasted very good, even the next day. While I didn't get to go out to eat, I would definitely order from again, or go in person and enjoy the atmosphere.

A great option to avoid Atlantic Ave scene and enjoy a great dinner with the beautiful weather with great food. Service was efficient and friendly. My wife even got a sample of the Papelon before ordering it. The veggie quesadilla were excellent md I can't wait to go again. My wife loved the steak tacos and the Papelon drink. We would go to bears for a quick taco fix bit this is now our go to option.

Everything is delicious! We love this place for its outstanding food and exceptional service. We highly recommend it, and you will never be disappointed. Marcela and Oscar.

The Picnic catered for an event I went to. The food was really good but there was some slowness in making it. I can understand that though since they catered for an event and everyone rushed all at once. It seemed everything was made to order and the quality was fresh. The food didn't come out all at once which I found odd, but as long as the kitchen was organized and remembered my food, it's all good. The quesadilla was exquisite and the tacos were okay. As you can see, they were pretty plain and we ended up ordering a side of guacamole for them. We also had a the corn which was very tasty. If some of that can be served on the tacos, that would be a dream.

I'd describe The Picnic as Mexican with a trendy twist. The Picnic is a food truck that opens at 5pm, off of Federal Highway on the south traveling side. Food is good, I think I'll try the tacos next time. The juices are super refreshing. They have tables setup with an overhead canopy.

Absolutely amazing food that I crave at least once a week, and the service is wonderful as well, quick and friendly. All of the things I've ordered have been delicious - guava and cheese rolls, panini, guacamole, corn, quesadilla, but my go to items are the pork belly tacos and the cheese rolls. They are consistently tasty! Plus their sauces are great, my favorites are the garlic sauce and honey sriracha sauce. I highly recommend checking out this food truck!

This place is a MUST TRY! Their Picnic Panini is unbelievable, its got 100% approval from me and my crowd! It never fails, we literally just order one for everyone and force our friends to try it! It's delicious. And I can't say enough good things about the people working the window, they are always pleasant and thankful for your business. All around great, laid back, and delicious spot!

Went there for the first time and will absolutely be going often. Steak was on point and better than most places around. Hot sauces did not disappoint either. Very much recommend!

We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart. And those happy hour prices are hard to beat! We definitely will be back!

*This review is for the Patron Margarita we tried last night. *…read more We've been here before and it was a great experience so we decided to come back last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We tried the Patron Margarita and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The drink was watery and lacked the vibrant, tangy punch that a margarita should have. The lime flavor was almost non-existent. The tequila was barely detectable, and the balance between the ingredients was completely off. To top it off, there were so much ice leaving the drink diluted and weak. For the price, I expected something much more refreshing and well-crafted. This margarita missed the mark completely. After addressing the issue with our server twice, he finally talked to the bartender. The bartender came to our table and offered to give a shot of tequila to add to the watered down margarita, but still, it didn't quite hit the mark. I really appreciated the bartender's effort to accommodate and make things right. It's clear they care about customer satisfaction. Despite the drink not being up to par, the service was friendly and attentive. I'll give it another shot in the future, but hopefully, the margarita recipe gets a little more consistency.

We went straight over to the tablets, scrolled and placed our order, tapping a credit card to finish. We weren't really sure if there were specials or meals were the best way to order. It is Cinco de Mayo and Tuesday here and we didn't see anything special. We grabbed a table near the walk of fame and sat down to watch the music video while we waited for our food. There was no hand soap in the ladies room, so I used the soap in the men's room. I mentioned it on the way in and when I washed up to leave, there was still no soap. We each had 2 birra tacos, shared a drink and rice and beans for $15 pp including tax and tip. Our food came out quickly with a bottle of green and a spicy red salsa. Our lunch was okay the tacos were a little messy crumbling as I was trying to eat them. They weren't full of fresh flavors, they just tasted washed out and watery.

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

Knowing lunch ended at 3:00, we had the lunch menu in hand. At one point, our server started walking toward our table, but after seeing me looking at the lunch menu, he turned around and went back to the bar to put dishes away. It honestly felt like he was trying to delay taking our order. My husband eventually had to call him over before 3:00. We ordered mahi-mahi tacos, and I was ordering the margarita chicken from the lunch menu. Instead of ringing it in right away, he waited until it was exactly 3:00 before telling us lunch was over. We asked to speak with the manager immediately. By the time she came to our table, it was still 3:00, yet she insisted there was nothing she could do because the computer wouldn't allow it. After I explained that I'd worked in restaurants and knew managers could make exceptions in situations like this, she finally agreed--but then rolled her eyes, walked away, and laughed with the server. My husband witnessed the whole thing. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable eating food prepared by people who were openly laughing at us, so we left. This was never about saving a few dollars. It was about customer service and doing the right thing. We've been loyal customers for years because we truly love the food, but the way we were treated today was so unprofessional that we may never come back. It's really sad because we genuinely enjoy this restaurant, but if this is how customers are treated and how management handles situations, it's not the kind of business I want to support.

I took that recommendation seriously because Florida Nacho Man takes all nacho intelligence seriously. That person owes me $14.50. The plate arrived. Full size ceramic plate, good choice, holds heat. Holds heat the way the surface of the sun holds heat, actually. No warning. No heads up. Just a plate that could cause a medical incident set down in front of you with the quiet confidence of something that had nothing to apologize for. It did not. There were eight chips on it. Eight. On a full size plate. Rattling around like survivors on a burning raft. At $14.50, that works out to $1.81 per chip. I want everyone to sit with that math for a moment. Each chip had a spoonful of highly underseasoned ground beef on it. Individually placed. The sour cream was piped in decorative swirls like this was a thin nacho cake -- tasteless, unattractive, sad, with no business in a Mexican restaurant. The lettuce was iceberg, roughly chopped, room temperature, just another passenger on this train of sadness. The jalapeños were pickled, piled in the center, and had the heat of a decorative garnish because that is all they were. The cheese welded the chips to the plate. Fork Rule violated. At a Mexican restaurant. For nachos. Shame on them. I ate all eight chips in pursuit of a redeeming quality. There was not one. Alas. The margarita was $5.50 on happy hour special. It also sucked. 1.5/10. The Ghost Nacho. Just avoid this place altogether.
