I'm sad to say, this is NOT Senor Burrito. They claim the same owner but the food had no flavor or seasoning. They served white rice and claimed señor burrito always served it that way. Google pictures and you'll find different. We ordered fish tacos and tomatillo enchiladas. Nothing like what we would get at the old location. Fish was over cooked and bland and the enchiladas had very little flavor. I would not recommend. read more

Señor Burrito is a classic place that's been in Boca for decades. They also have a sister restaurant nearby called Las Fajitas. The food is always good. It's a limited menu, but that's ok because what they do is simple and good. My go to is the Mole Verde Burrito. You can't pack any more chicken into the burrito...it's stuffed. Gave up my table for a family of four that came in since I was alone and I'd been seated at the last table and hadn't ordered anything yet. I grabbed a seat at the bar instead. Still fantastic been eating here since they opened in the early two thousands. Unfortunately, I moved for work, used to always have gelato right after eating here, but the gelato place closed down. We ordered the carne asada with the enchiladas in the verde sauce along with rice and beans. Every thing was still fantastic, same as, I remember. My son ordered the carne asada tacos. Unfortunately Senor Burrito is no longer one of our favorites. The place has not been the same since Gloria left. The food quality and service have gradually declined. We were there last night and felt the food was sub par, the place was dirty and the staff not very friendly. So, I've been going to the Argentinian Deli, located in the same run-down, unattractive strip center off 20th Street and Federal Highway (head shops, do your own laundry, shoe repair, etc) and never tried SENOR BURRITO,which is located at the north end of the center. I thought I would one day give it a try, as it always had a bunch of cars in the lot parked in front of their entrance, so it surely had it's following. My friend Marsha, who had a bad case of bronchitis and was in bed in her multi-million $ East Boca condo, texted me that this guy who she met on-line brought her CHICKEN SOUP from Señor Burrito, and that it was the BEST CHICKEN SOUP she EVER had. Marsha kept texting me, day after day, asking me if I tried their chicken soup yet. ["not yet, but I will" was not a sufficient answer.] She kept HOCKING me to go try their chicken soup. So frankly, to stop her texting me, Dennis and I went there on a specific mission - to try their CHICKEN SOUP. Now, the ambience of the place is sort of quasi run down, but neat and clean, booths real clean and cushions on the seats which if you are not careful you slide off (an important tip), and the bar (wine and beers only) has about 10 bar stools, and it was PACKED at 1 PM. Warmly greeted by a hostess/owner, I figured I found a real good place. And then I looked around at the bar, and there were 5 dudes, all really built ["ah, this is my kinda place"] ALL having these HUGE BOWLS of CHICKEN SOUP. So I thought, "if these built guys are ALL having CHICKEN SOUP, it really MUST be AWESOME...and I decided that next time I went there during the day, I would sit at the bar, and maybe a built guy would sit next to me, and slurp CHICKEN SOUP and I could make small talk with him, say like "Hey, bro, this is some damn good CHICKEN SOUP, huh? What's going on, bro?] [Hey, we can all have our fantasies, right?] So, I ordered CHICKEN SOUP, and Den ordered A Chicken Burrito [he liked it], and this HUGE BOWL OF CHICKEN SOUP ( $6.25!!) is brought to the table, steaming hot. Loaded with carrots, potatoes, finely diced onions, guacamole, cilantro, and LOTS OF WHITE MEAT CHICKEN. But there was ONE CRITICAL ELEMENT MISSING - it was TASTELESS. Was I supposed to add HOT sauce? Why? So, I ate half of it, brought the rest home, figuring I would have it the next day, and maybe it would be better. It was still tasteless. I returned a week later at 8PM, and the place was again PACKED. Every booth taken, all seats at the bar taken [NO BUILT GUYS, though], and people waiting outside for a table. So, I figure "It's you, Max, you are missing their ESSENCE, you are being TOO CRITICAL, and then I wondered "maybe my taste buds are shot, doesn't that happen to you when you get old?" This time I ordered CHICKEN MOLE VERDE, and the chicken was shredded, with a lot of mole sauce on top. Sorry, but it was TASTELESS. Den ordered CHICKEN FAJITAS, and they were SIZZLING HOT, and tasty. I liked them a lot, but it wasn't my meal, but he being so kind, allowed me to switch plates. Wait staff are attentive and responsive. Bathroom was immaculate. BEERS were real cold. Food was HOT. But, it was NOT the best Mexican food I ever tasted, as some reviewers claim, and now I know what to expect, so if I return, it will not be for the TASTE of the food, but to feed my fantasies, and to get a decent, inexpensive meal close to home. With little to no taste. P.S. I told Marsha it was not the best CHICKEN SOUP I tasted, and she must have been delirious from her bronchitis meds, or had been away from Manhattan too long. Or both. All I can say about this place is "what a find". Our small group of four stopped in late afternoon on a Saturday and was lucky enough to find a open table, it seemed like every time a customer left a few minutes late another one would enter along with plenty picking up takeout. After placing our orders we were treated to a bowl of red salsa and chips along with our drinks. This is a beer and wine restaurant but they also make margaritas I really don't fully understand it but I think they use a wine cooler mixer or something the girls thought they were pretty good us guys enjoyed a few ice cold Dos Equis from the bottle served with a short cold glass, after spending a few hours out in the sun they were refreshing as a spring shower. The fresh red salsa was exceptional but doesn't bring a lot of heat we requested a hotter salsa and was immediately brought this green concoction that is simply amazing it's got a real kick trying to analysis it my only conclusion is that it's a blend of ground hot peppers with a vinegar base very different very delicious and tasted great on everything as I stated its a vinegar base so I suggest you taste it on a chip before you add it to your entree we all loved it but you'll have to decide for yourself not only did it add a few levels of heat it I thought it really enhanced the flavor of everything I put it on. I definitely recommend you try anything on the menu I did read the very angry review regarding the fish taco so you'll have to make that call yourself, from everything we tried it's hard to believe someone would get that upset especially at these prices. While we were busy locking our bikes to the pole outside, the waitress set up our table for 5 before we even entered the restaurant. She quickly brought us our drinks and chips and fresh salsa. I saw another table with green salsa, which might be spicier. I want to try that next time. I shared a shredded beef burrito and a taco asada with my brother. The 3 tacos were served on corn tortillas with a side of guacamole, white shredded cheese, & salsa. The steak was well seasoned. It was good, but the burrito was AMAZING. We ordered the shredded beef traditional burrito for $9.50 and includes rice and beans. The meat is super tender. The flour tortilla is covered with white cheese and a ranchero sauce. The beans and burrito were delicious. Service was great. It is a small restaurant with a bar (beer and wine only) and about 7 tables. There is parking in the attached parking lot. My wife and I have gone to Las Fajitas (sister restaurant around the block) for about 7 years now and we LOVE IT. We decided to do something different this time and go to this location instead; HUGE MISTAKE. Upon entering, we observed zero social distancing and poor customer service. Tables were set up as usual and there were no plexiglass dividers between booths. A woman in the back waved to acknowledge our arrival and we waited patiently. As she approached us, she asked which table we would prefer. I responded and she went off to grab menus and cleaning products. When I noticed she was setting us up at the opposite table I had chosen, I politely said "ma'am, is it alright if we have that one?" Her response, " okay, then walk" while signaling for me to proceed to the table. My wife and I quickly made eye contact and felt extremely uncomfortable. When the woman saw us heading for the door she could care less. Her response, "ok. You don't want? Bye." I decided I'd give her a call while driving to Las Fajitas and explain my perspective. I explained my reason for leaving and that I did not appreciate her tone of voice or telling me to "walk." Her response, " I don't have time to be on the phone. Bye." The short of it: SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DRIVE 0.5mi to LAS FAJITAS. This experience was an absolute joke. This woman should not work there. I work down the street & I have been here a few times. My last visit a few weeks ago will be it for a while. I'll go back but taking a break for now. Service is hit or miss & I don't like that. I am a big believer in consistency & they definitely are anything but consistent. The booths are very uncomfortable. Some of the cushions slide off the bench & some booths don't even have cushions. It's pretty dark in the restaurant so I use my phone flashlight to read the menu. They serve beer, wine and sangria. They make a good frozen margarita from a machine & they use white wine instead of tequila. Be careful, last time I had a margarita, I had brain freeze & it caused me to have a headache for two days. They automatically put red salsa on on the table. Each time I was there I had to request the green salsa. The red has no heat & the green has a good kick to it. Chips are okay, not great. What I have tried: Chicken Soup is salty for me. The Spinach Quesadilla was great the first time & soggy the second time. Steak Fajitas are good & so are the Chicken Fajitas. Most Mexican restaurants serve fajitas with all the trimmings (sour cream, cheese, lettuce ect) but if you want the extras there is an upcharge. I think it's just a few dollars, but I never heard of such a thing. The guacamole is bland & I love guacamole! But this version has absolutely no flavor. Senor Burrito is located on the NW corner of 20th Street & Federal Highway. Two stars is because the food has the potential to be really good if they used some seasonings & used less salt in the chicken soup. I'll be back at some point because it's near my office & the wine based frozen margarita is good~just drink with caution because brain freeze is not fun. read more

Me and my sister-in-law stopped by there about a week ago to have a quick lunch with my grandson and granddaughter. The menu really is geared only towards a dinner menu. They have nothing for a children's menu and a taco plate was $15! Me and my sister-in-law ordered nachos thinking we were going to get a pile of chips cheese and steak and it came flat with about 10 chips some cheese and a few bites of steak on it. The flavor was blah the price was $15 we got a side order of guacamole they cost $8.25 for a little dollop. This place was just a little hole in the wall nothing fancy it wasn't worth the price it wasn't worth the atmosphere and it definitely wasn't worth the food. We love this place! We are Texans so we have had a very hard time finding good Mexican food here. I always order the enchiladas and get a combo of chicken and cheese. Their green sauce on top is really yummy and I love that they are generous with their cheese on top! My husband always gets the ground beef burrito and loves it. Their refried beans are good and kind of sweet, and i also like their rice. Their guacamole is decent, but not spicy and could use more lime. Their salsa is nice and fresh! I have been a customer of Senor Burrito since they opened many years ago. My visit today was an extremely negative experience. It seems the people who work in the kitchen, want to play their music louder than the music playing in the restaurant. Since this is a small space, customers are experiencing extremely loud music in stereo while trying to enjoy their food. The waitstaff is very nice, however, frustrated by the kitchen staff, who have no respect for the customers or the waitstaff. The music in the kitchen should be turned off, and the music in the restaurant needs to be turned down. There is no management on premises to manage the kitchen staff. read more

I saw this place thanks to Yelp and my bf told me this place is amazing so we had to go! We came on a Monday night at 8pm and it wasn't packed. The restaurant isn't big but I noticed a number of people came in for pickup orders. After ordering, we got chips and salsa while waiting. The green one is delicious!!! Spicier than the tomato one but so good. They offer more chips too! I ordered the traditional burrito (steak) and the bf got the pasilla burrito. The portion was huge and great for the price. Service was good but I can't say the same for my chicken quesadilla I asked for light cheese & I can barely taste the chicken in it. For $18 this is a RIP OFF especially for lunch. I ate it and I'm still hungry. I called to complain about barely any chicken inside my quesadilla . The lady said you can bring it back.... Is she kidding me. I only have an hour for lunch. I spent more than half an hour going there and coming back. They just need to do it right the first time why make the customer come back when they try to screw you on your food. And then on top of that when you pay they want to tip. Tip for what for screwing up your food and giving you no chicken. I had to take out by the way. After living in boca for over 5 years, I can say with confidence that Señor Burrito is my absolute favorite eatery in boca. I ended up getting my parents hooked as well, so every time they come to visit, this is the place they want to come. Words cannot describe how amazing their chicken soup is. Not only is it HUGE and I always take home leftovers, but it is the tastiest soup I've ever had. It has potatoes, shredded chicken, carrots and avocado. I could eat at Señor Burrito every day if I could. The portions are big, the food is always fresh and delicious, the customer service is amazing, and the place is just so comfy and clean. I love love love Senor Burrito. Every time I'm in the South Florida area, I make it a point to come here or to one of their other locations, even if this means going out of my way or cancelling other dinner plans (sorry not sorry). This is a hole-in-the-wall, not impressing anyone kind of joint, but it doesn't need any frills. The food is solid, the service is great, the prices are super reasonable, and the portions are huge. If you don't walk out of here with a food baby, you're doing something wrong. The complimentary chips and salsa are awesome - super fresh and flavorful. It's easy to fill up on those alone, but save room for another appetizer. We always go for the nachos, which are super simple (just beans and cheese, really) but so incredibly addictive. There is nothing like scooping a molten pile of cheese into your mouth at Senor Burrito's. I always tend to go for fish here for my main, either the fish tacos or the grilled mahi mahi salad. The tacos are so light and flavorful, especially with a side of pico. I usually swap out the spinach nachos they come with for rice and beans, which are equally delicious. The salad is a massive portion of greens dressed with a light creamy dressing, grilled mahi mahi, avocado and cheese (I swore it was blue cheese on my last visit, which was the only part I didn't like). It's a good way to tell yourself you're being healthy at a Mexican joint, especially if you just finished shoveling half a plate of molten cheese nachos into your mouth (see the above). Their enchiladas are also amazing (particularly the green ones) if you want a cheese overload. A dinner at Senor Burritos always ends with a Jolly Rancher on the check, which is kind of amusing but also kind of perfect.
