We were first introduced to Tacos Wey when their food truck came by to do an event put on by our neighborhood's HOA, and became immediate fans. We then learned they were opening up an east Boca location which was much closer to us. The location is in a gas station to the left, so it's ideal for pickup or delivery, but there is a counter to place an order and a few tables should you choose to eat in. For those ordering delivery, the food travels well. While the menu doesn't have a ton of options, what they do have is always a solid choice. Over the times we have had food delivered/picked up, we have had the tacos, gorditas, grande quesadilla, elote and chips and guacamole. The way the food is prepped takes me back to street food similar to what we would have in our travels to Mexico. So good. A note on the grande quesadilla - it definitely is large and could likely eat 2 people, or just 1 person who is really hungry. They also sell bottled Coke as well as Jarritos. Hoping more folks in the area give this place a try because it is well worth it! read more

Close the doors on you at their taco truck if you pull up with in the last 5 mins of them being open. This used to be one of my favorite places. I feel they've been commercialized now. Will go to the other taco trucks that stay open till customers leave. Had others pulls up right as guy was shutting his windows. Eager to clock out, not eager to help make money. This restaurant is located in the gas station. I got here on a Saturday at 3pm and it was empty. I was shocked on how empty it is especially it is located in front of FAU university. The gentlemen that took my order was nice and got my order correctly. I asked for two orders of the combo which is $16 each. The combo comes with two tacos, nachos and a drink. I asked for the carne asada and my mom asked for the taco de pollo. I felt like these tacos were nothing special. The cheese on the nachos was not melted. The drink with the combo is limited on three options only . The drink they offer is Tamarindo, Jamaica and Horcheta. These drinks were scooped up from a metal container. To me this seems super sketchy and unsanitary. I asked if the had other drink options with the combo and the gentleman said no. When I asked what was in the Jamaican drink he said he didn't know and later came up to me stating there is hibiscus in it. I was a little scared to drink this but I was thirsty. I don't like how run down this place looks and I don't like the attitude of the lady that was preparing the food. She was very serious. I personally wouldn't go here again. read more

Meat was dry, salsa was a jelly, beans cold and chips stale. Was looking forward to it, but maybe they'll improve in the future.

This place was good at one point, but then was sold to different owners who not only have allowed the quality of the food to decline but actually charge 4% for a non cash adjustment even when you pay cash. It may not seem like much, but imagine how much that adds up to.. I asked them what that was and they couldn't explain what it was or why it was there. Then I told the other folks there that there was a non cash payment 4% charge as they paid with cards and had a larger order. They asked for their receipt and they couldn't provide one. This business is not above board and is shady now, not like before. Even the kitchen has a leaking ceiling and dropping tiles. I rarely even yelp anymore, but I will get on here to tell you about this because theft is wrong and there are standards to be met for food service. read more

Their tacos are amazing. Love ordering from them. The food is always fresh and the sauces are delicious especially the green one that you see pictured below. I still prefer Elote on the cob but the cup wasn't too bad just not my preference. Super friendly staff & welcoming environment. Tacos Wey is truly a hole-in-a-wall type of place. Located in a gas station convenience store as well as a food truck that locals know the location of, this is a stop-and-try type of place. The service is great, and the food is even better. I have taken my Mexican friends here, and they said it's some of the most authentic tacos they have gotten in the area. Ordered Birria tacos. Upon taking a bite of one taco noticed that the taco meat was NOT beef but instead birria AND chorizo in one taco and only chorizo in the other 2. When I brought it back the women tired to convince me that it was birria... when it is very clearly pork. Then when she knew I wasn't going to believe her she said they'd run out of birria. I absolutely LOVE this place! Getting tacos from here is always such a treat! Usually, they put the guacamole, sour cream, and pick de gallo in separate containers. This place is over hyped and if you're looking for birria tacos I wouldn't come to boca raton for that. I just happened to be in the area and I was craving birria tacos, I looked at the reviews on it and it wasn't too bad so I thought I'd give it a try. After I ordered I saw them add more birria broth from a plastic bag that looked pre packaged and the location of it was in a gas station as well. I thought maybe this a hidden gem but what I was given had no flavor at all. The broth was bland the cheese had more flavor than the meat and broth combined and the cheese just tasted like cheese!!! If I had the chance to get a refund on this I would of, it was most definitely a waste of money and over priced for something that's not authentic and came out of pre packaged packaging.
