It's so crazy to me that I can drive and see street signs now without needing glasses, something I haven't been able to do in the last 10 years. The procedure was quick and painless. I just remember looking for the green lights that they told me to look for. Waking up in the middle of the night when the numbing wore off that hurt really bad, but thanks for the Tylenol PM being offered I fell right back asleep. I woke up the next day feeling much better. It was definitely worth it. They load you up with eye drops, which is extremely helpful because my eyes feel super dry, which is to be expected, but it's not unbearable. This is also something that will go away with time. you will definitely have the urge to rub your eyes, do not do it. Feels like a bunch of dust or sand just went into them, just load them up with more eye drops. If you've made it this far through my review, I noticed some negative reviews prior to my surgery that they were just in it for the money. I would like to personally say I completely disagree, I told Dr.Perry one of my main concerns was the blinding lights at night and he told me the lasik will fix my astigmatism and my ability to see, but if all I want to do is fix the lights that has to do with my pupil size and that he would just stop now and not proceed with the surgery. I truly feel like he gives expert medical advice and for him to even give me the option to not proceed before following through with everything gave me even more reassurance that they weren't just in it for the money. I never write reviews this long but for something so important as eye sight I felt like this was necessary. I was referred to them by my boyfriend and I will be referring them to anybody I know that is considering Lasik.

After receiving the new prescription, we paid $484 (with insurance) for glasses that turned out to be unusable. My husband cannot see clearly with them and actually sees much better with his old glasses. At the follow-up appointment, we explained the issue but were told, "this is the best we can do." No meaningful solution was offered, and we were later given the same prescription as the old glasses. We were also informed that no refund is possible. As retirees on a fixed income, this is a significant loss for us. The only positive part of this experience was Alicia in the optical department, who truly tried to help and was very professional. While I wish my vision insurance was better, I have had positive experiences at this Visionworks location with the customer service, glasses ordered, optometry appointments, and overall experience. I have found it easy to schedule appointments even for the next day to meet with the optometrist though it has been a bit annoying that the online system requires anything I sign online to be signed again in person. I recognize that this isn't specific to this Visionworks location but the entire system. The reminders online are helpful, and I typically find myself with a relatively short appointment to meet with the optometrist, who is very knowledgable, helpful, and caring (similar to his predecessors over the last 10+ years). I have had a number of questions about my insurance last year and again this year. I have found that by sitting down with one of the associates, I have been able to learn a lot about what my insurance provides (and doesn't provide). They have been patient with me last year and this year when I have asked questions when they could certainly have just passed me along to another associate. When I have been ready to find a pair of glasses, associates have been willing to team up to show me different pairs of glasses got try on and then to answer questions about frames and lens and any special requests from transition lens, flexible frames, no-scratch lens, and more. I have also learned from the associates that sometimes the available coupons are better than insurance. I was at Visionworks today and found that using my insurance or a 50% off coupon came out to only about a $20 difference. I found that I had recently received a 50% off coupons on frames/lens though just after leaving, I came across a 60% off coupon online. I (hearing impaired) care give for both --I told the young lady that and she said due to COVID only 2 at a time. We live in the same house if one has COVID we all do...which we don't and have been tested? She said I'm sorry but only 2. Told her I will try to find another Dr. and she could have cared less. Business must be great if you can loose 3 patients ... I know I should have ask for her boss but Geeez. This is not a reflection on D. O'daniel he is a great doctor hence the reason I followed him.
