The food was very good. The service was caring and concerned. The management was happy that we were happy. Everyone appeared to be happy.

Went on a Sat. evening. Some tables still had food plates on them, not cleaned up yet and this left an ugh feeling. Food not that good, Chicken sandwich had some skin on the meat, not tasty and some hard spots to the chicken slices. Potato salad side dish had too much mayo. Not fresh bread for the sandwich, smashed and not tasty, more squashed. This is our second visit to the restaurant where before we also encountered table with dishes after customers left. Will not go back again for sure. Restaurant needs a make over. Had to try different stalls in the ladie's room since all the doors had non-funtioning door slides. Ultimately management and owner are responsible for this poor quality restaurant. Loved the one we went to in Illinois-this restaurant can't compare to other McAlisters we experienced. read more

put in 2 orders choose 2 get reciept and there are 4 -1.29 charges - asked after paid -waitress had no clue-another oh when you choose 2 theres a 1.29 premium fee on each half -why don't they tell you when you order ,what dumb ass people work ther showed her my 6" sandwhich was 4" wow i didn't make it --had a tape measure ordered a memphian - every piece of meat (3) was paper thin and the size of a silver dollar 1/2 slice tomato no mustard or cheese -this place sucks-the wiatress again said i didn't make it asked for manager never came -wife's 1/2 salad would ft on a table spoon- potatos were very good the cook sucks at least the leland one makes a great sandwich - can't give a minus rateing-- 35 bucks wasted read more

No one! I mean, no one can beat McAlister's Sweet Tea! There is such a variety of foods! They have unusual sandwiches, salads, nachos, and of course different ways to enjoy a baked potato! As a vegan, I love their veggie spud without the cheese but adding lots of different vegetables. I even like to add balsamic vinegar on it. The servers are always very intentional, sweet and kind. I thought this was a sit-down service place but you order your food and then the staff will bring it to you. I had the BLT with avocado and a small cup of chicken tortilla soup. My friend had the salad with grilled chicken. There was way too much bacon and not enough lettuce and tomatoes; and barely any avocado - just one small slice. I tasted mostly bacon. Who doesn't love bacon, but really, too much on the sandwich. My soup had very little chicken. I expected strips of tortillas in the soup but it came with a side of tortilla chips. It was also pretty thick, a little too much flour. My friend's salad looked great. We did get our food pretty quickly, so we didn't linger. read more

Against my better judgement I was brought to McAlister's for lunch today. Just from pictures online and menu I wasn't very interested BUT I was dragged here anyway. Upon arrival I knew this wasn't going to be the best experience. Run down on the outside as well as the inside. Mold upon mold on the ceilings, not the cleanest bathrooms and zero attempt to social distance patrons. It was left up us to sit away from others. -Spicy Chipotle Chicken Sandwich 2/5, not the worst sandwich I've ever had, but definitely in the bottom rankings. The chicken was cold, the bean/corn "relish" was just a spoonful of what I felt was defrosted right out of a frozen bag and the cheese had the consistency of canned wiz. Overall, I will personally not return to another McAlister's for a meal in this lifetime or (hopefully) the next. read more

After visiting Wilmington & trying this place, I'm disappointed that I hadn't ever been in my three years of living in town. You order at the counter and a server brings your meal to you. Everyone I met who worked there was very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of healthy and more indulgent options spanning from salad, sandwiches, soups, and a fan-favorite "spud" or baked potato. I found that my "pick two" of half salad and half spud was not only fresh and delicious, but also a good bit cheaper than something similar you would get at Panera. I love a simple salad and this place fulfilled that craving with a filling potato to complement it. I would totally go back when I'm near another McAlister's location. read more

After a long day of traveling and working I came here for dinner. Placed my order online. Requested no bacon or cheese, due to diet restrictions and they still put both on my sandwhich. So I didn't get to eat that. Then, I ordered soup, and they gave me no utensil so I had to stop somewhere to grab one. They also forgot the lemon in the drink and pickle on the side. Pretty much just didn't seem to care that I spent $17 to eat and they screwed it up. Very upsetting. Very disappointing. It is not hard to work simple jobs. read more

There's no match for McAllisters and other deli style food in the area (chain restaurants especially). The food taste fresher and the portion sizes are bigger. There's several different sides to chose from which also gives you lots of variety ( chips, soups, salads, potato salad, mac n cheese, etc). I typically get cravings for soups, salads, and sandwiches.. and this definitely satisfies it! The bread was delish and the staff had it out in a hurry! I love that you never leave this place feeling gross like most restaurants seem to do to me.. you know those straight meat sweats. This place also isn't crazy expensive and you don't feel cheated when you leave. BTW certain kids meals are 99 cents on Saturday's!!! Note that the sweet tea here is like SWEET SWEET. I used to like this place a lot more than I do now. I think because of all of the absolutely amazing local saNdwich places around it makes this place not so good. I ordered a club sandwich And it just wasn't anything great. Also, the potato soup was just about average, too. Honestly, Porgresso makes just as much of a decent canned one. I also think the prices for a mediocre at best sandwich place are alittle much. $11.99 for a club and a side Mac and cheese. I have heard wonderful things about their tea. I am not a tea drinker so I can not say one way or another. The only appetizers that they offer are nachos which is kind of a let down too. read more

Yes .. yess...yeeess We recently moved here from California and I have been on the hunt for a good sandwich and salad place. Not knowing the area in a bunch of different restaurants we have pretty much tried everything we could find. I have been so disappointed until now. I finally found my new sandwich please. We ordered from doordash so many expectations were a little lower considering the time it took to get here which was about 20 to 25 minutes. Our food was so good the flavours are amazing. The Caesar salad wrap was amazing the dressing is actually Caesar this is what Caesar dressing is supposed to taste like. We also got the new Yorker, French dip. It was amazing the best sandwiches I had even in California. I don't know if it just me but California had a lot of different sandwich places in salad places I can't find anything like that here. The food was absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly. Our server was polite, and on top of getting things cleared for us and making sure thatg we were doing good. The only downside to this place was the bathroom. It was probably the most disgusting public bathroom that I have ever used. The place smelled like raw sewage, the toilets were dirty (both inside the bowl and all around the outside). The hot water did not stay on, so you have to washb your hands in cold water, which doesn't do anything to kill germs. read more

So you must be asking "why the low rating?" Well, it was not only noticed by us, but we overheard several tables commenting on how nearly every female staff had shorts on the we're two sizes too small. If you're choosing between McAlister's and Panera- it should be McAlister's all day! The sizes of the sandwiches and the quality of the sides/drinks are much better! My favorite is the spicy southwest chicken sandwich with a side of Mac-n-cheese (which is amazing). They also have the best lemonade and give you large cups with every drink order! read more

I love this place and go frequently, but I've ordered twice from there in the last few months and they have left several components off the sandwich--a regular sandwich on their menu!--so that I've now paid $10 for what amounts to a turkey sandwich with lettuce. Cannot figure out why when you ask for a part of the sandwich taken off, they then remove 18 other things you didn't ask them to. If they're out of things, that's fine, but then just say that. I second Bethany - I was SHOCKED at the state of the woman's restroom. It looked as though it had not been cleaned in weeks, especially the floor. I can't believe a national chain would allow one of their franchises to look like this. The baked potatoes are good, but there are not enough healthy options here to keep me coming back. Um yes 10/10. I had always heard about McAlisters and never felt like it would be my kind of place. However, my parents tried it yesterday and told me it was amazing. They thought it was so good that they wanted to take me there today lol. We had a great waitress and she was very helpful. Multiple people were coming to McAlisters going inside and leaving with just tea, so that tells you a little something about how good their tea really is. The Big Nasty has what tastes like a beef brisket with lots of cheese and this very tasty gravy served on a piece of delicious bread. The sandwich is huge so my mom and I split, and the price was very reasonable, all about $10 for the sandwich, the mac n cheese, and the sweet tea.. My dad also got a brownie and a cookie and they are delicious as well. Definitiely will be coming back here! All I have to say is get the Big Nasty, the Mac n Cheese, and a Sweet Tea.
