The driver was insolent and shut down communication regarding delivery. We canceled. And they won't give us a refund. The spuds are horribly overpriced. Certainly not worth the hassle. Absolutely terrible staff and customer service. I walked into this store and said I had a pickup order and stated my name and was redirected to a different counter where a skinny guy with blue eyes rudely yelled and asked me what my name was. The manager was a large man in a grey shirt and told me my order had been stolen because someone took it off the counter. And instead of making me a new one he told me it was my issue and I needed to send a new one in through DoorDash. I had to deal with DoorDash support for 30 minutes. read more

I live down near Carolina Beach and often drive up to Jason's on Market Street for lunch or even for their wonderful black current tea. My favorite lunch is the awesome salad bar with so many offerings and the little garlic bread slices. I've had many of their sandwiches and am never disappointed. The free soft serve is an added bonus. Their cheesecake is another favorite. My mom's favorite carrot cake was from Jason's and she had tried them all. Their food is of higher quality than most. Lots of additives removed and more natural. Service is always friendly and efficient. I just wish they were closer to where I live. Highly recommended. read more

I know that I can head here and get a healthy, delicious, and gluten-free meal. Stoped here with craving on a good deli sandwich and on that note it did not disappoint! Mine was so good just right amount if not more than enough meat and stuff on bread.. I was bit overwhelmed by the menu so I just got my go to club.. no one can mess up a club but this was soo amazing.. came with potato chips .. I almost couldn't finish it but I pushed thru lol.. the only reason I gave less than 5 stars was the cleanliness.. they had staff behind counters and restocking all the food but we sat for an hour and table next to us had dirty plates still sitting there and floors looked unswept.. seems like if you took plates out to customers you'd grab plates on empty tables and bring them to back.. can't say that happened while we were there.. but in all honesty I'd go back for the food .. maybe do take out instead but food was real good. read more

Ordered the Yankee for take out. Walked in and was not greeted by anyone. It was my first time walking in. I've ordered a few times in the past for delivery. I'm pretty sure the manager saw me looking around for the pickup counter, I was ignored. I asked for the bread to be toasted when I ordered. It was not. I even gave a $5 tip when ordering. I love this place because it is so busy, so organized, and runs like a well oiled machine. There are so many food options you can choose from and my favorite is the salad bar because it is stacked full of options that you can fill your plate to the roof. As soon as you order, the person at the counter calls out to another person that a salad was ordered and as you walk down a little bit you see a set of prepared plates/trays and everything ready to go. Needed a quick lunch today before running errands. I felt like a cup of soup and decided to try the 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup. Decided on the chicken and wild rice and 1/2 chicken salad sandwich , coming with chips. We also ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce on rye coming with chips also. Took our number poured our drinks and off to a table. It was prime lunchtime and the place had a few patrons and not crazy busy . The wait was short , I forget that it it always cold in the restaurant. Our meals arrived and looked great , except for the soup spoon- it was looking rather unclean. The soup was warm- not hot , had great taste - nicely seasoned. It had plenty of chicken and a few carrots and plenty of rice, quite pleasant. The chicken salad was served on a very flaky delicious croissant. The chicken salad was composed of; chicken- more shredded -minced type , mayonnaise, crushed pineapple , tomato slice and lettuce with light seasonings, it was delicious. The chips were the standard wavy chips. The turkey sandwich was pleasant- the turkey very tasty , the rye was also pleasant, it could have used some more lettuce. This was absolutely the worst pastrami sandwich I ever had in my life. My son and I ordered the same deli sandwich and it was very fatty and impossible to chew. The floors and tables were dirty and sticky. This is my last visit to Jason's Del. This place has gone way downhill! read more

I always find what I want in a great salad bar at Jason's Deli and this was no exception. Fresh salad greens and the veggies that you expect and a few more you don't (roasted red peppers for example) greet you at the salad bar. They also have decent humus, and different prepared salads. Being a most plant based consumer I appreciate that the salad bar has ingredients warnings for different diets. The restaurant is clean, and the employees are pretty friendly. First, I am a frequent repeat customer to this Jason's Deli and when I travel to others as well. Up untill today I have had very satisfying expirences . Fast forward till today. I ordered an Italian Po Boy at 4pm this afternoon. No one in the store , I was there for curbside pickup and it took what seemed like forever to get the food so my wife masked up and went in,. 10 minutes or so later she came out to the car with the food..a bit miffed, but ok let's eat. My sandwich was about an inch and a quarter in diameter with my guess one ounce of meat in tota in that half l . I ate the half assuming the bulk of meat wwould on the other half because of the rediculously small size of the bread. When I went to eat it the other side was worse. I boxed it up and brought it back in the store and talked with manager Diana..she said it is what it is. Really!... I said to her well that's a pretty shittey sandwich for the money...when she immediately seized on my description of the sandwich and took the half sandwich I gave her and threw it in the garbage while telling another employee to give me a $5 gift card..... And she promptly walked away with attitude. I told the employee to keep the gift card , said you lost a customer today and walked out of the store. I returned to the car, where my wife was finishing her meal and I saw a sign on the front of the store with the managing partners name, Matt Lindsay I believe. I went back into the store and asked for him. Diana , whom I spoke with previously came out and said he couldn't see me now. (. With her nose hanging out of her face mask amidst a Covid pandemic) Left my phone number..and haven't heard from him since. I have been a great customer of this franchise and never had a bad meal till today... I will not be treated like this. There is obviously a change in service and quality and an unwillingness to satisfy . That's the end of it for me. There are plenty of other restaurants in Wilmington, that are happy and willing to fix an error. This was only my second time ordering food from Jason's Deli but each time has been impressive. I stopped in to pick up lunch for my wife and I during our breaks and ordered the CB Ranch Potato for her and a Reuben the Great for myself. My wife devoured the potato, well...as much as she could. I believe the total weight of this spud, fully dressed, was close to 2 lbs. That's a lot of starch and carbs. The ranch dressing with melted cheese, bacon and chicken chunks were all wonderful and this could easily serve as 2 separate meals. As for the Reuben the Great? I enjoyed it. The rye bread is subtle, the pastrami and corned beef was piled on and the 'kraut with swiss cheese were on point. With the mountain of meat on this sandwich, I probably could have used a tad more 1000 island dressing to moisten it up but I ate the whole thing and was satisfied afterward. Although, there are many other delis around that specialize in perfecting items like these, Jason's Deli did well for a national chain. The food was great. The service provided by Eden was friendly, efficient and the overall value was nice at $26 and change. I may have to visit this Jason's Deli more often because each time I have gone, the food has been solid and I felt that I got my money's worth. 4.7 STARS!! read more

I have eaten here several times and it's typically been a positive experience. This time was the worst. It didn't start off well with the Asian lady at the cashier who was impatient and annoyed that we were there. After placing my order, it took about 20 minutes to get your food. It wasn't busy either, so it was confusing as to why it took so long to make three sandwiches. There was even a bigger party that ordered right after us and they got their food 5 to 7 minutes before ours arrived. I could have gotten it a lot sooner just by walking up to the counter to personally get it and they would not give it to me and I had to wait another 2 minutes for them to personally deliver it. GOOD NEWS: The one bright shining employee they had was a young lady named Brandy who wiped down tables and "gladly" assisted customers. I think they should make her manager. She also apologize that we didn't have a bigger table available for our party. And window napkins were given to us for our meal. My family and I returned to Jason's Deli at the invitation of Matt the business manager due to a poor review. I did not expect a response from the company and was surprised to receive one. That was impressive and tells me that they truly care what their customers think. I will say this was a the 5 star experience I was hoping for. Matt greeted us and displayed an affable professionalism that truly made us and the other guest in the restaurant feel welcome. I ordered the Carmela which was superb. The Carmela consists of: Three meats - salami, pepperoni, ham - melted provolone, spicy piquillo pepper relish, mayo, toasted sourdough. The sandwich is somewhat spicy and amazing. The preparation of the sandwich was precise and even. The amount of meat was generous and the toasting was quite even on the bread. While the sandwich was tasty the real star of the meal was the French onion soup they just brought back. As many of you know French onion soup is something I enjoy ordering and reviewing if it available on a menu. I was surprised to find the French Onion soup at Jason's to be on par and even exceeding many more traditional restaurants. The cheese and crouton layer were appropriate, however, were missing a nice browning of the cheese. The onions were cooked perfectly. They were neither to hard or soft and had rich flavor. The broth was dark and rich and well-seasoned. Not too salty or bland. For the price point, it is one of the best French Onions in the area. read more

Really disappointed. Went by yesterday to get my favorite sandwich. Nobody in line. I stood at the take out counter way longer than I should have. Four employees looked directly at me and one was clocking in and not one of them acknowledged me. I decided to take my business elsewhere yesterday. My family and I are return customers . Up until today we have been satisfied with the food we order from this location. 1st I wanted the Texas Spud and they didn't have it, so I tried the backed potato with chicken and barbecue sauce. There was not enough cheese no butter or sour cream. The fruit tasted like they were not washed and the shrimp in the gumbo were under cooked and the gumbo had no taste. I order from Jason's Deli a lot and usually they are spot on...today, not so much. Placed an order for delivery at 11:35am. The delivery window was 12:30pm - 1:00pm. At 1:05pm I called the store and was told that they only had one driver and that she was on her way back to the store and that my order was next to go out. My order was finally delivered at 1:50pm. Now this wouldn't have been so bad if the food would have been served fresh...but our food was obviously made shortly after I placed my order and then sat for 2 hours! If you know that your deliveries are delayed due to lack of drivers, then prepare the food accordingly. Delivering cold and soggy sandwiches almost 2 1/2 hours after a customer orders is not acceptable. read more
