    The Mediterranean Bowl .
    Christine F.

Typical Panera restaurant, you always know what you are getting. Stopped here for lunch one day and wanted something different. I did look at the menu on line since when you walk into a Panera , the menu can be overwhelming. I decided on a Mediterranean Bowl; cilantro brown rice and quinoa, grape tomatoes, Kalamata olives, cucumbers, hummus , a lemon tahini dressing on the side and Greek yogurt, no feta . It came out quickly , for my side I chose an apple instead of bread. It was a nice mix of rice and quinoa- nice flavor and not mushy . It was a very pleasant alternative to a lettuce salad. The tahini dressing was a nice alternative to oil and vinegar. When you walk into any Panera , they are all the same and you know what you are getting , no deviations to their food.

Their pictures always look enticing and delicious on their website. I ordered their strawberry poppyseed salad with chicken and a half a sandwich-Napa almond chicken sandwich. I paid $5.79 for a half a sandwich and barely got 2 Tbsp of chicken salad - not even enough to have chicken salad in every bite. Certainly doesn't look like their pictures. Every time I go to Panera, I'm reminded why I don't go very often!

This place can be inconsistent; sometimes wonderful, sometimes not. Their online ordering doesn't always function, either, & rewards usually don't show up-- you need to ask. Tip: ask the cashier to repeat the order back to you; otherwise, you may end up with Salad dressing & extra quinoa when you ordered NO salad dressing & extra greens!

This restaurant is probably my favorite restaurant in Wilmington. We always go here when we don't know where to go. The service is always polite and quick. We usually come here and get our food in around 5 minutes-if not, it's around 10 minutes. I definitely recommend this restaurant

While I am easily pleased and never want to leave a negative review, this just was too far past my level of understanding. I work in the restaurant industry, and pack to-go orders left and right all day long. I understand that things happen and that sometimes an item or two may get missed when packing. However, I lack the same empathy when it comes to food that is packed into an order and it is wrong. I triple check everything I place into a togo order; make sure the modifications are correct, things requested to be taken off or placed on the side, and I always, always put extra sauce, napkins, and utensils. Now, that's just me. But what I find rather disturbing is that the Panera employees do not even check the food before they place it in the bag. I ordered the You Pick 2 option: broccoli cheddar soup and the chicken salad sandwich. I customized the Half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich to have NO tomato and LIGHT lettuce. I got home and opened my sandwich to find a teaspoon small scoop of chicken salad buried under an entire head of lettuce (picture inserted below). Due to this being part of the Choose 2 option, it was only half of a sandwich to start with. So now, my half sandwich was then cut into another half. I paid a ridiculous amount for a small bowl of broccoli cheddar soup & 1/4 of a chicken salad sandwich (and 1/4 is a generous statement!!!) Further, I couldn't go back because the Panera closed for the night once I had returned home and realized. Disappointed is an understatement, hangry happens to be an understatement too. CHECK YOUR TOGO ORDERS!!!! IT IS NOT HARD!!!!! Further, if someone asks for light lettuce, let this picture be a guide: THIS IS NOT LIGHT LETTUCE! Starting to think the cook is on drugs & mixed up LIGHT LETTUCE for LIGHT CHX SALAD. Not sure what the mishap is but get. it. fixed. and I want a real CHX SALAD sandwich. Next time I'll dine elsewhere

Look how tiny this $6.00 cup of chicken noodle soup is

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My sandwich was almost as bad as the customer service. Boo!

I have a "sandwich" with barely any meat and soup that tastes like dog food. This was my second attempt at this Panera.

Service is great and fast. Food is pretty pricey but it's worth it for the quality. Try their soups it's delicious.

For breakfast, tried the meat lover omelette, egg and cheese, croissant sandwich, and two empanadas (beef and choripan). I liked how all of the dishes were garnished with fresh spinach leaves and an orange wedge, making them look colorful and appealing. My partner enjoyed his omelette, which included chorizo and julienned ham slices. Omelette was presented differently than the typical omelette, with it cooked/shaped as a bowl and stuffed in the middle with fillings. They don't make croissants in the house, but they bake them so it's nice and crispy. It was very filling. Next time I'll add ham to it to give it a salty taste. Empanadas were delicious. Served with a chimichurri sauce. Beef empanada was a little bit on the sweeter side. Their espresso machine was broken so they only had black coffee. Black coffee was alright, nothing special, but, it was nice to drink hot coffee out of a mug, making me feel like I was at home. They have coffee cards, which you hole punch yourself. You get a free coffee after getting 10 hole punches. If you care, your clothes might have a little bit of a cooking smell after being in the café for a while.

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

You can customize the orders easily and add extra protein to the mac & cheese. At the restaurant, there are two separate door entrances (close to each other), one for ordering and the other one for pickup. It was nice they had a pick up station with my food, packed in a brown bag, ready to go. (I was about six minutes late for my pick up time). The food was steaming hot in the to-go containers. The macaroni and cheese was very good, cheesy, addicting. It's worth it to get a regular size. The Japanese noodles were okay. The steak was tender, udon noodles were chewy and not overcooked, and broccoli was al dente. They have their own spicy seasoning made with Cayenne pepper bottled in a plastic container. Didn't see any to go containers to put that in, but they do have to go Sriracha packets as well as soy sauce.
