This was my first time coming here and I immediately liked it. I ordered grilled chicken with rice, avocado, feta cheese, lettuce, and balsamic vinaigrette. Everything tasted really good together especially the combination of the balsamic dressing, grilled chicken and feta cheese. The meal was filling, fresh, and a great healthy option. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and will definitely be ordering again. I came in tonight to give Cava another shot. I still do not see appeal to this place. I absolutely love Mediterranean food but do not find any of their seasonings or food here that good. The place was very clean and staff were friendly and making sure to stay continuously busy cleaning. I haven't been eating a lot so I asked if I could get a kids pita. They said I could so I ordered a grilled chicken pita with carrots and lettuce on the side. I hate to say it but the best parts of the whole meal were the romaine lettuce and the actual pita bread. Several girlfriends and I had dinner here prior to catching a movie one evening. Most of us made our own bowls, which is such a fabulous option here. All of the ingredients are so fresh and so tasty! I decided to upgrade to get the lamb as my protein and enjoyed a bunch of the different veggies and toppings. I finished it off with the garlic sauce which is fabulous. I've never been to a CAVA before. There was no one else in line when I arrived at 5pm on a Friday so we had time to figure out what we wanted. A line started for me only like few minutes after we placed our order. I went with the lentil avocado bowl and my partner got the lamb meatball pita. The lentil avocado bowl was very good. I wished I got the dressings on the side because there was a little too much dressing mixed in the bowl. Some of the raw cabbage slices were too big. It would have been nice if a side came with the bowl like the pita chips and if there was a little bit more falafel. I felt satisfied after eating the whole bowl. I enjoyed the variety of vegetables in the bowl and the flavors mixed all together, especially with their "hot" sauce. Their hot sauce is mildly spicy. My partner also enjoyed his lamb meatball pita. Didn't try their dessert options as they were just packaged and made in another state. Trier three of their juices from their juice dispensers: the blueberry lavender, strawberry citrus, and lemonade. The blueberry lavender was the best out of the three. Strawberry citrus tasted like there was artificial sweetener. This is a good place to get fast casual healthier Mediterranean food. read more

Yes yes yes, go to Cava!!! Okay okay hear me out- I tried visiting here about 2 months ago when they first opened, like any business just opening, it was a mess, and PACKED. However, my food tasted good- so I knew I would come back in a few weeks. Here I am 2 months later, I hyped this place up to my husband. He's a big chipotle fan and I'm just not that into it, but I love Mediterranean food so I knew this would be my jam. After hyping it up and walking him through the steps of the process he made some choices for his bowl. I always get the Tahini Chicken Caesar Bowl- it's not listed up on the large menu but it's one of their curated bowls on the website that I looked up prior to my first visit. If you want a classic Mediterranean bowl, order this!!!! It's not spicy & it has such a great mixture of flavors. There is just a salad base, no rice- so if you're looking for grains you could always add that. I also opt to add my own veggies from the topping bar at the end to get in some extra goodies. Whatever you do ORDER THE PITA CHIPS. They are fried pita slices of perfection that pair so nicely with dipping for your bowl. I can't rave enough about the pita chips. Like I said, I saved my review for CAVA after giving them a bit of time, and I'm glad I did. My experience was much better this time, the staff was more knowledgeable and felt more comfortable with creating the bowls you ask for or answering questions. Decided to try this place for lunch, arrived early , head heard it gets busy after 12. It's a fairly simple menu , but has options. I decided on the Lemon Chicken; chicken , crazy feta, red pepper hummus, pickled onions, roasted corn, persian cucumber, greens, preserved lemon vinaigrette and a pita wedge( hold the feta and dressing on the side) . You get to watch them create your food , so you get exactly what you ordered. It was super fast , and plenty of seats to choose from. It is loud in the restaurant, nothing to buffer the noise. The chicken was pleasantly spiced, and cooked perfectly. The dressing light , not oily and pleasant. The food was delicious and I would venture back and try another bowl or pita. The pitas looked spectacular and huge- so bring your appetite. It does get very busy after noon, so go early. read more

Holy scrumdidlyumptious! This was delicious and I'm mad at myself for not trying it sooner. So many options.. pre-made bowls and pitas or go rogue and build your own. It's a Mediterranean version of chipotle in the way you build your bowls or pita, but far superior in flavor. You start with a greens or grains or both as a base, add a meat or veggie (lamb meatballs, Greek chicken, sweet potato), then add dips (tzatziki, hummus, etc), then add toppings (roasted corn, olives, cucumber, feta, tomatoes/onions), and then top with sauce (garlic, Greek, Caesar tahini). I've only named a few so check out their full menu. Loved every bite. This is something I could eat regularly and not get tired of it. Great music and service, too! As well as indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh drink options that include cucumber mint lemonade or teas or soda. If you are a Greek or Mediterranean food fan, chances are you'll love it. I love Cava! I used to have lunch at Cava in Maryland where I used to live, so I was happy they opened one here in Wilmington. The food is always fresh and well prepared. I had a combo salad and grains (lentils) along with a "spicy" lamb meatballs. I was warned by the person that made my dish that they were spicy. Nope, not for me. They were quite flavorful. This is a place where you go down the line and choose what you want in your salad, pita wrap, etc. I topped my salad with feta, olives, pickled onions, a mix of onions, tomatoes and cucumber, etc. You can choose three dips. I chose the tzatziki, hummus, and a feta, japapeno dip. It also came with 1/4 pita bread (you get more at the Cava in Maryland where I used to live). Total price with bottled water was a little over $15, in which I thought was reasoanble. There is inside dining and also outside dining with tables and umbrellas. Love Cava for the healthy food options. I'll be back again!! read more

I had never been to a Cava and wasn't exactly sure how it all worked. We came in around lunch on a Saturday and it was packed. I wanted to ask questions but felt like I should be quicker because of the line. You're able to see all the fillings and watch them make your meal. I got the Chef-curated pita - Spicy lamb meatball since it was listed on the menu. The staff seemed like they were still learning the menu but were ok with me swooping cucumber for onions. I was a little underwhelmed when I set down to eat. The pita was a good size and tasty but I wish there was more filling. The meatballs were ok and sauces/hummus had good flavor but it was smaller than expected for $12. I'd like to come back to try a bowl next time... maybe when it's a little slower or use their online ordering. read more

just moved from CA to NC and been to the wilmington cava five times. i have become a huge fan, what a great quality product. i recognise that cava is approx 50% more expensive than say it's closest comparison ' chipotle'. however on each of the five times i have eaten at cava, i have ordered the exact same thing and paid five different amounts between approx $20.50 and $24.50. interestingly i was never given a receipt. the pricing is complex enough to confuse the staff, and the customers. is this by design? read more

This is a new Mediterranean place opening up where Zoe's kitchen used to be. This place is super cute and modern. I was invited to the friends and family event they are having to get the staff ready for the grand opening! Because it was this event it was pretty busy inside, but the line was moving very quickly. This place is giving me big Mediterranean chipotle vibes. You get into line and decide if you are having a salad, a grains bowl, or a warm pita. You then chose your grains or lettuce and then you go to the protein. They have multiple flavors of hummus and tahini. I got the tahini Caesar dressing on my salad it was delicious. They also have delicious fresh pressed juices. There are a bunch to choose from. I tried the pineapple apple mint juice and the lemonade and they were so refreshing. You can almost taste the healthy but in a good way! The staff was incredibly friendly and helping with describing the different items on the bar and proving suggestions. Once they open I highly recommend checking this place out! This is going to be an amazing healthy option for a fresh bite to eat. read more

Cava is an excellent choice if you would like a "grab and go" option for healthy food. The Lamb Meatballs and Falafel I can say were excellent, and their large selection of all ingredients are fantastic. Service was great, staff was friendly (we didn't go at lunch time rush so can't comment on how quick they are) and were helpful. They are definitely pricey for what you get, but if you want refreshing, quality Mediterranean food and you're in the Wilmington Area, give it a visit. read more

A co worker and I had Cava delivered for lunch today. She had never had it and was very impressed with her meal, she had the pita which is something I apparently need to try. I had went to Cava a couple times before and ordered inside the restaurant and it was perfect, when I got my usual delivered there seemed to be more dressing and sauce on it. I would have preferred them to put the dressings on the side for take out. Other than the dressing being too heavy it was delicious, I got the all salad with roasted veggies and as many toppings as I could get.
