Flounder Mediterranean is what I had! Flavor explosion
Joanie F.

Ambiance was very relaxing but the food was incredible! We were not impressed with the waitress and did not get bread which we thought was given to every table. The food was so delicious it's absolutely worth going back. I can't wait to bring my daughters!

Mozzarella fritti

Thru the years we have been here numerous of times! Every single time has been great! We like their drinks, the food and the ambiance! In the spring/summer outside they will have music so that is always a plus! They have daily specials as well! Last night I came with my girls and we ordered our usual appetizer, mozzarella fritti, dinner we had the kids pasta with marinara, the build your own salad and the Valdostano plate! They bring bread to the table with their pesto and that's always a hit with everyone! The server was attentive and nice! I know we will be back soon!

Martini special, mussels

Great ambiance fancy drink specials, special menu items are fantastic. Great selection - something for everyone

Cobb Salad

Friends and I had lunch here today before going to an art class in Hampstead. I ordered the cobb salad, which was very good, although the bacon was way overcooked. Some of the pieces were too chewy. The avocado was perfectly ripe; and the gorgonzola cheese was yummy. Same with the blue cheese dressing. Two other salads were ordered, and a Caesar chicken salad wrap. All very good. Nice service by our young waitress. While I made reservations in advance, it was not needed. It wasn't crowded at all. In nice weather, sitting outside is a good option. Nice décor inside with huge canvas artwork - most were Italy scenery.

Solid place. Great ambiance, food and service. The food has always been delicious and well presented. We have had everything over several visits. From pizza, to salads, to pasta and more. All beautifully prepared from a chef that seems to care as much about flavors as he does about presentation. Take a look at some of these pictures!

The chicken was so juicy and the flavor combo was amazing! I will definitely be adding this to my lunch rotation.

Always a favorite. Pizza was stellar at this meal on 3 July. Bruschetta tasty but could have benefitted from more toasting.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here!…read more We went on a belated Valentines date the Monday after, they still had their V-day specials available and our waitress, Ella, was so kind and well-informed! She told us about all of the specials and gave us suggestions to help us select our meal, honestly her personality alone made us want to come back but the food sealed the deal. We started with the Filet Tartine which absolutely blew us away, then shared the beef Wellington and the brussells, this was our first time having a Wellington and on top of being delicious the tableside service was outstanding! The side of brussells were the star for sure, with pancetta and apricot, savory but sweet. So amazing. We also shared a few drinks throughout the meal, the tiramisu martini, the lemon meringue, gardens of Augustus, and the10 year tawny, everything was amazing, though we're definitely coming back for the tiramisu martinis! And finally, don't get me started on the view, the large windows face out over the river and look out to the battleship, we got there right as the sun was setting and added to the romance of it all. Overall we had the best Valentines anniversary of 4 years thanks the Ella and her team at Sugo, Thanks!

The staff were okay, but unfortunately the food really missed the mark this time…read more All of our pasta was overcooked, to the point where the noodles were falling apart and almost shredded. My vodka sauce (and one of my friend's as well) was only lukewarm and very thin, more like a watery tomato soup than a sauce. Oddly, the noodles themselves were extremely hot, but so soft that it was hard to even pick them up without them breaking apart. My husband ordered a baked ziti, and his dish was even worse, the noodles were completely overdone and lacked any structure. You could not stir the cheese in without the noodles shredding. When we brought this up, the staff seemed a bit confused, so we showed them how easily the noodles were falling apart. Instead of being apologetic or acknowledging the issue, the response felt more like, "Okay, so what do you want?" which came across as a bit abrasive and dismissive. They did still charge us for our appetizer and drinks (one cocktail and a soda), which felt a bit off given the situation. It wasn't necessarily about the cost, but more about the lack of effort to make things right, it just didn't feel like there was much care in how the situation was handled. We've had better experiences on Resy before, so this visit was disappointing. Atmosphere was ok. Temp was fine.

The place is pretty basic, not much atmosphere. I don't recall any music in the background. I was pasta carbonara and read on facebook that this place makes an authentic dish. It was good but what I've eaten in Rome Italy is so much better. My Caesar salad was a nice portion with a thick and creamy dressing. My husband had the meatball sub. He really liked it. And it was a big portion. The garlic knots were delicious. I'm glad we finally got to try this place but it's not on the top of our best Italian restaurants in the area.

This area has many restaurants but each one is as busy as the next. When in doubt, make a reservation. We were seated and Kellie was our server. She is friendly and attentive, she was back by the table many times. There is a lively vibe here with great music playing. It can get loud, but you can still have a conversation. High ceilings, old building, and cool mural and decor don the inside. After we made our drink orders, we were deciding on salad or appetizers. The portions here are very large. I actually skipped a salad this time so I could enjoy more of the Grandma pizza! We added pancetta and mushrooms and it was so delicious. Crust was thick and crunchy and the flavor is top notch. The two of us shared the large pie, and we still took some to go. The menu changes, and we saw some new desserts on the menu. If you can leave room to try, they were highly recommended by Kellie. We were guided by other Yelpers' reviews. When booking our reservation, we opted to sit at the kitchen counter, which I recommend if possible. All were delicious and light enough that we were still able to enjoy our entrees - agnolotti and the rigatoni. I hadn't read many reviews about the agnolotti but it was the star of the show. The rigatoni is their classic and doesn't disappoint. We already determined that next time, we'll need to try the beignets and possibly the lasagna!
