Original Gyro.
Monica P.

I still love this place. I don't dine here often but when I do, I'm always satisfied. Today I had the original gryo sandwich. It was huge! I barely ate a third of it. Lots of gyro meat, tzatziki, onions (too many for me, so I took some out), tomatoes and shredded lettuce. It's the best gryo around the Wilmington area. The staff there is very friendly and two asked how I liked my lunch. That's really nice. I have plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Veggie Falafel Wrap with Hummus and Pita

Peño was a good find during my visit to UNCW, Wilmington. Fair prices and fast service were their big pluses. While entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted with friendly smiles from the staff. Ambience was casual with both indoor & outdoor seating area. Although the restaurant was fairly crowded, my order of falafel wrap with hummus & lemonade was ready within 20 minutes. Falafel was good but hummus with pita was my personal favorite. It was overall a very filling meal. I'd certainly visit them again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Chicken Kabob Platter

I ordered through Uber Eats and tried the Chicken Kabob Platter, which came with Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus, a Greek Salad, and additional grape leaves. The platter featured plenty of well-seasoned, flavorful chicken. The Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus had a nice, subtle flavor with just a hint of heat--not overly spicy, but very enjoyable. The grape leaves were underwhelming, tasting much like those from a can. The Greek Salad was generous in portion and included a good balance of ingredients, though I was surprised it came with balsamic vinaigrette, which isn't typical for a Greek salad. Overall, the meal offers good value for both taste and price, and I'd happily order it again.

Sweet sweet lanta. Cannot say enough good things about this burrito. Anytime I'm in Wilmington I have to get it. The fries, the chicken, the garlic sawce.... Pshhhh. The best! Girlfriend got the gyro bowl but we split each. Soooo good!

I haven't been to this location but I have used GrubHub for delivery. Food is good. Highly recommend the gyro platter. Spicy hummus is pretty damn good as well. Peno is a very good place to get your mediterranean food fix. Regarding the packaging of the food for delivery. Packaging was secure. Food came intact with plastic utensils and correct sides (dressing, etc.). Recommend.

Super friendly staff. GPS doesn't take you here directly so it's facing the Main Street on the back side of home goods next to a noodle place. Food is authentic Lebanese and comes out to order so expect a small wait. There's outdoor seating. Christina was always smiling and oh so polite. They came by and asked how everything is. Very hospitable and generous portions. Would def go again

This place is SO hot not miss. Tonight we ended up throwing away our delivery food because it was so bad. The chicken was so over cooked that it had absolutely no flavor and was inedible. The only part of the meal that was good was the hummus. I have come to the conclusion to not order an hour before they close. It's good from all day sitting there. My son had the Schwarma gyro and there was so much garlic sauce on it that he couldn't eat it. Even the meat on there was over cooked. So disappointed.

The soup was excellent--warm, hearty and packed with greens, pasta and meatballs. Exactly the kind of comfort-food bowl you want when it's gray and raining outside. I paired it with a sandwich, which was a great complement to the soup, but I have to give some love to the homemade chips too. Crispy, well seasoned and much better than throwing a bag of chips on the side and calling it a day. Overall, this was one of those simple meals that just works: good sandwich, great soup, homemade chips and perfect timing with the Wilmington weather. Sometimes you don't need fancy. You just need the right food on the right day. Kitchen Sink delivered.

This place is super cute and cozy, you order at the register and they bring you your food. We went on a weekend and there was ample seating. The food is FRESH! Everything tasted so yummy. They have a nice variety of sandwiches - cold, warm, spicy. I personally had the BAD chicken biscuits which was the best of all worlds. Spicy hot chicken and fresh flaky biscuits. Their fries are also great. Regular alone are delicious but the Parmesan fries take them up a level. I think chips are the standard side but you can do a premium side for an upcharge. Staff was very friendly and overall this is a very solid place. They also have specials so be sure to check those out too!

I got the basil hummus & avocado sandwich served with chips ($9) and the mugs o nugs with chipotle mayo and ranch ($6). Everything was presented well and tasty. I look forward to playing more games and trying more menu items, they also serve beer which could make for a fun game night. If I could, I would only ding a half star but I can't and since they offer it, I have to incorporate it into scoring.

Our party was of 5 and each pie had 6 to 8 slices. Everything was cooked fresh. The cannolis the first trip were very fresh but they load up the cannoli with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup so it was disappointing to learn you can't ask for them to be fresh made without all the 'extra'. The first trip came to just under $100 though for the small pies and a cannoli. No drinks. Fast fwd to today, I was craving some pizza and my youngest wanted to get ice cream and I recalled they had a small gelato selection. I also figured I'd grab a couple of cannoli but I didn't recall them being $5.50 a piece!... it's been a hot min though but that was fine. Today, however, the cannoli shell was SO soft so I'm glad I decided to take a bite while waiting on the FUNGI pizza (which was phenomenal btw- delicious!!)... the cannoli tasted and was clearly old and as crazy as it sounds a little windexy. So I asked for replacement thinking for $12+ dessert I'm not sticking with a soggy dessert - the young man working was kind enough to offer to make new fresh ones for me including eliminating all the sugar powder and syrup. I thought that was nice. I do like the fungi pizza a lot and it's very tasty. Including the plain from first visit and the white pie. I think my issue with the restaurant is the pricing is incredibly high for pizza that doesn't always scream' best in the area' and it's not an 'Italian' business. They are from Turkey but they do a great job with the look and feel of Italy. But we're authentic Italians know what "buffalo mozz is" and what is in cannoli cream so while it's good tasting.. it's not exactly what we'd expect.
