[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute and quirky spot with interesting menu choices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice lunch spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is great! You order and pay and then sit down and they'll either call you up or bring it out for you.

I continue to love love TKS. I met two friends here for lunch. One had never tried it (she's in love with the food here too now!). I ordered my usual- Nonna's meatballs without the bread, cucumber salad, and the pear, gorgonzola, and pecan salad. This time I also added in a brown butter brownie for all of us to share. Delicious all around!!!

Was starving and needed a breakfast yelp came thru for me at the kitchen sink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Funky inside spot with local North Carolina flavoring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I gotta say the service was the star of the show with both waitresses being extremely attentive and helpful. Little small on the portion for being called the kitchen sink, but they gave me a to-go cup for my coffee so we're all good.

First of all- big shoutout to the service. Even though it wasn't busy, they took time to take care of our order, kept us updated when one of the items was made incorrectly and quickly fixed the error, and overall represented their business very well. The sandwiches were above average, having a nice blend of meats and toppings into some unique creations. It won't blow you away given the price, but after a day at the beach we were happy with what we got. The sides are what you'd expect (the fries were, surprisingly, our favorite part of the meal). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some clutter and grime around the store, but overall a fun spot not far from the beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They've updated this place a bit and it's really well done. They've added a small bar area for espresso or cocktails, and moved the tables around which makes more sense. They have great weekly specials! Of course, their food is just as wonderful as always. The people who work here are always pleasant and look like they enjoy their work.

What is there not to love about this place?! We are in town from NY. We stopped to grab lunch I got the sweet n savory with the house made chips. My daughter got the Mac n cheese and fries. Huge portions of fries were are mouthwatering. My sandwich has so much flavor and blended well together. The Lavender Lemonade is a must and refreshing. We ended up coming back my daughter got the same thing again but with the parm fries. I got the Goat which is AMAZING it was so yummy. The soup was really good too. We plan to visit again before we head home. This is our go to spot the next time we visit Wilmington. This place is a gem. The staff is so friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We felt so relaxed and at home here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Fabulous lunch date at the Kitchen Sink today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love the eclectic vibe here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Get Smashed sandwich...delicious. The bread is so good. My husband had the Meatball Sandwich. The person that took our order was very pleasant and our food was made promptly. I'll definitely be back.

We came yesterday and didn't want to wait but then came back today and got our group on the list and waited. Note that the parking close by is expensive and they won't seat you if your whole party isn't there within 5 minutes of texting that your table is ready. So yep- plan to wait and sit around. Inside it's pub style, bar available and good music, but not much seating which explains the wait ;) We ordered the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich, the Hot Roasted Pork Sandwich and the Reuben. Our waitress recommended not getting the onion rings app and to do it as sides to save money, and man, we had SO MANY leftovers. The pork sandwich is super good but so filling. I could only eat half with all the onion rings! The Reuben was absolutely delicious and I would 1000% get that again. The best thing on the menu in our opinion: the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls with chipotle mayo- OMG. We will DREAM about these!!! I haven't seen these talked about much- TRY THEM, they were literally mouth watering and I would have eaten them as an entree and not an app! Overall we would come back again, just be prepared to wait forever for a table and you won't be disappointed!

"Good Mexican with a twist near downtown Wilmington"…read more Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner at 6pm and were seated immediately despite it being a group of 5. The place was not very large but relatively full, so be wary of coming later unless you're OK waiting. The restaurant had a bit of a rustic look but clean & well maintained, and nice local art posted on the walls. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and a lot of the food was sourced locally. We started with a sweet potato- goat cheese "guacamole" appetizer. I split the Jefe's Arroz Con Pollo and the Carne Con Ancho with my son. My girlfriend got the vegan rellenos. Food came out in maybe 20 minutes. The ACP was very good but unusual. It came with a thigh and leg of chicken on top, and a big mix of flavors of food underneath-- coconut rice, black beans, pineapple salsa. Curiously no cheese. Very different from any ACP I've ever had. Overall, it was fine-- honestly, my son and I both felt it was too many flavors that overwhelmed each other. In contrast, the Carne Con Ancho was spectacular. The steak bits were cooked rare to perfection and absolutely melt in your mouth. The flavors of the arepa below it as well as the horseradish and other components blended beautifully and made for a wonderful dish. My girlfriend said the rellenos were nicely fried and the sweet potato puree was excellent-- a very hearty dish without feeling heavy. And we all also really liked the guacamole appetizer-- unusual yet delicious flavor (and no avocado). Price was fair-- this was definitely upscale, so not "cheap", but fair for what we got. Overall, I'd happily come back, and definitely would want that Carne Con Ancho again. I recommend.

We were finally able to stop into RUMCOW on Grace Street in Wilmington this weekend!…read more We had a reservation. We were seated within a couple of minutes. Our server Ava knew the menu and read the table well. No overselling, no scripted recitations. She just took care of us. Thanks Ava. The Blackened Chicken Breast came with basmati rice, seasonal vegetables, black bean salsa, and a chipotle cream sauce that worked harder than it had any right to. The flavors didn't compete. They really settled into each other. The Rumcow Salad, loaded with mixed greens, carrot, tomato, onion, cucumber, and wonton strips, we ordered topped with shrimp. It was sharper and more interesting than we had expected. It's a newer spot in Wilmington, and it shows. In The Best Sense. We'll be back for sure!

The service was friendly and attentive, and we started the evening with a bottle of Cambria Katherine's Vineyard Chardonnay (2023), which was a nice way to begin dinner. Unfortunately, the food this time around just didn't live up to what we remember. We started with the Asian Tots, which used to be one of the best items on the menu. In the past, the peanut sauce was poured over the top so everything came together as one dish. Now it's served in a small cup on the side, and there isn't enough of it to properly coat the tots. They also stopped finishing the dish with the salt they used to sprinkle on top, and even the presentation has changed -- the silver dome they once used is gone. What used to be a great appetizer has been reduced to something that's simply okay. For the main courses, the results were mixed but mostly disappointing. My blackened chicken was a little overcooked. My wife ordered the miso salmon, and that was overcooked as well -- which is especially noticeable with fish. When salmon goes past the sweet spot it quickly becomes dry, and that seemed to be the case here. None of the food was terrible, but none of it really stood out either. Dessert didn't help much. I ordered the carrot cake, but what arrived looked more like a small cupcake buried under a heavy amount of icing, with a large mound of whipped cream on the side. There wasn't much actual cake there, and it wasn't what I expected from a carrot cake dessert. One thing that stood out during the meal is that it feels like the kitchen may be constantly adjusting dishes -- moving sauces, changing presentations, tweaking things that didn't necessarily need fixing. In restaurants, sometimes the best move is to pick a lane and execute it consistently rather than continually modifying dishes that customers already liked. So here's the bottom line. Rumcow is not the Rumcow of yesteryear. Was the food terrible? No. But it was mostly meh, and that may be the most disappointing part. This used to be a place known for memorable dishes and small details done right. Right now it feels like a restaurant that has drifted away from what made it special. The atmosphere and service are still good, but the food just doesn't match the reputation it once had.
