We went to try this place very excited but we were turned away. We came on a Monday at 2pm. There were a few people eating inside and outside. They had 2 open tables. A waitress/hostess came up to us and said they were currently not sitting anyone and that the kitchen was taking a break and to come back at 3pm. Huh?? The hours online do not reflect this. It's advertised as 11-9 on Apple Maps so we were very disappointed. We just came home. We don't plan on ever attempting to go back because that was just very weird. And now I'm scared we would just be turned away again if we went. Ended up coming here for 4th of July because we were on vacation and found out they raised their prices compared to yelp menu prices. We ended up sitting outside because they didn't have seating available. Ended up waiting 34 minutes after ordering to remind the waitress to check on our food. She let us know it's going to be another 15-20 minutes because the kitchen was backed up. Which is pretty wild because all we ordered was burgers and fries. All in all we waited for our food for about an hour. Should have called beforehand to price check it because it's 100% not worth the price. Should have just cooked out on the bbq. I ordered the "Hot Mess" burger because it had decent reviews. The burger was decent size with a tiny portion of fries on the side. The service was mediocre, felt like the waitress / bartender was just damage controlling the small amount of tables in the entire establishment. Wanted to like this place, much like everyone else. Got there before 6 and there was already a party of drunk ass boomers in the corner. I get that this is a bar, but I thought we'd be having a chill dinner on an early Thursday evening. The seating here sucks so we had to start at the bar, but were able to finish our meal at a table. Our waitress was incredible and I should have tipped her even more. But I'm gunna be honest, the kitchen is lazy as hell. I wish I said something during dinner, but the onions and lettuce on the burger were all butts and ends. Really sloppy. Flavors were good overall though. But this place should step it up a bit. Came here for lunch today and was left extremely disappointed. I ordered the chicken salad as a wrap and it was amazing, however my negative experience stemmed from the lack of hospitality. Our waitress only showed up to take our orders and deliver the food. She didn't check up on us a single time or refill a single drink. Food took forever to come out even though the restaurant itself wasn't that busy. Even charging our cards took about 20 minutes to do even though, once again, it wasn't that busy. This was a recommendation from a local when I was in town for the marathon. The place was pretty packed but I sat at the bar and it was great. The staff were super nice and attentive. I got the brisket mac&cheese which came with a salad. I chose the Caesar. The salad was just find. The croutons were very hard. They had a full house on a late Saturday afternoon, so we sat at the bar where I had a delicious bloody Mary and the 'brisket biscuit' from the brunch menu.OMG, it was a perfect pairing with the cocktail. Came here for dinner around 5:30 on a Sunday. We had to wait about 15 minute but the process was easy and quick. They took our name and texted us when our table was ready and we were able to see which number we were in line. The inside is quaint with a couple tables and bar seating with some tables outside as well. The menu has a bunch of appetizers, salads, burgers and different sandwiches. This was the worst experience ever at Fork & Cork. For the second time, they did not have the Wellington Bites, one of my favorites. I substituted the Texas Brisket sandwich. It arrived rather sloppily presented. The side of onion rings was disappointing - they didn't separate the rings, leaving blobs of onions covered in a very floury batter that was not crisp at all. The side caesar salad was tasteless. And all the while I sat there, the air conditioning vent dripped on my head. This is not the Fork & Cork I always loved. My wife's patty melt was over cooked and her side beet salad had a funny flavor from the spiced nuts that had more of a Christmas spice flavor to them and beets that were unremarkable, not even tasting as if they were roasted. read more

When my husband and I entered, an employee ushered us immediately to two open seats at a bar. Service was quick and friendly! We were in and out in an hour. I ordered the Hot Mess burger with an upgraded side of macaroni & cheese. Blue cheese belongs on burgers and this didn't disappoint! The mac & cheese was a great side too. My wife, 2 teenage sons, and I enjoyed lunch here after a historical walking tour of Wilmington, NC in late March 2024. Lots of pluses. First, the fried chicken on salad (with avocado slices) was delightful! You can't go wrong with the fried chicken dishes here. Second, the portions are generous if you're especially hungry. Third, this place has a wide selection of local craft beers - and gives you an opportunity to try various IPAs. There were only 2 minuses. First, it felt rather crowded inside the small pub-like restaurant so we decided to sit at an outdoor table. This is not a place if you're feeling claustrophobic. Second, eating outside meant that our server came out later than expected (service felt rather slow). Not a big deal, but I would not eat here if you're in a rush during peak lunch hours. Visited on a Monday around 1pm. There were just 2 of us. It was busy went to sit at a table with 5 chairs (only one open) and was asked to reserve that table for a larger group. I didn't really want to sit at the bar and eat lunch but we did anyway. The food was amazing!! We ordered the Wellington bites as an appetizer, The Crispy Chicken sandwich w/ sweet potato waffle fries and the patty melt on toasted rye with regular fries. Both were amazing. The CJ cherry smashed mojito and the Flirtini were on point. He enjoyed the old fashioned and the red oak. Went there on 12/27/2025. Ordered the all day breakfast, I ordered my eggs over easy and they were overly cooked over medium, the home fried potatoes were way over salted and the toast had no butter. We also ordered the california club sandwich, was very dry with hardly any meat on it. The server was pretty nice and good at her job. This place does not deserve the multiple star rating it had.
