So glad that these guys opened a brick and mortar place a year or so ago! Now you don't have to chase them around town to have their delicious smash burgers! Plus, they got a local artist to paint awesome murals on the walls. My personal fave is the Tombstone, with fries and G sauce, but I also want to try the Boneyard and Patty Melt in the future. Fast and friendly service. Makes a perfect place for lunch if you work near Mayfaire, as they're located at The Forum. read more

Super quick service, burger was very tasty, and the bacon cheese fries were overflowing. Small space inside but ample seating on the outside too. Very good smash burger for a reasonable price. read more

Grimm Burger - Bacon, cheese fries - Burgers Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

This is my husband's first stop when we visit. That man loves a Grimm burger. His favorite has pimento cheese on it, I build my own. The staff is always attentive, kind and willing to offer suggestions on draft beer selections. Can I just say the Lavender Lemonade Cider made my day and helped me forget all about the 8 hour drive there. I love a town with a variety of beer and wine and Wilmington is a great place for this experience. Considering the name, the somewhat dark/metal devour may not be my choice but fits the vibe for sure. There is an outdoor, pet friendly area but 100 degree weather wasn't calling my name. We have sat outside peacefully in past visits. Thanks for making my Man happy GB. read more

Delightful burgers! Wonderful fries! Place feels a little too chain-y for my general preference, but otherwise a truly great burger joint that doesn't try to be anything other than a great burger joint. And given the size of their burgers, the kids in our group couldn't finish their meals so we had burger remnants to snack on later, which is always a treat. read more

My wife has been offered other options when eating out bc she doesnt eat red meat but on this occasion the person taking our order said we can do a grilled cheese sandwich. A little upset bc she had been at this location before and offered turkey burgers etc...Not this time just a kids grilled cheese sandwich which wasnt melted but congealed to the bottom bun. Disappointed.... read more

We ordered this via DoorDash and it arrived hot and it was tasty. While I prefer fries, the tots were delicious. They lose one star because I think their burgers are a bit salty. Everything else is great. They have really good pickles! read more

The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is so fun and different, the burgers though were absolutely delicious. They have the best smash burger in the area!!! read more

Great smashburgers! We had the Grimm burgers one without pickles & one with extra onions, both perfect. Both had Grimm sauce. The onion rings and fries were nothing special, unable to finish, too greasy. Will come back for the burgers definitely. The staff extremely friendly & quick to service. Clean establishment. read more

Food was delicious! Great flavor and texture on the smash burgers. The texture and crisp of the fries were great and they were seasoned well. The loaded fries were hands down, the best! I could have eaten them all day! Drinks options were only available as cans or bottles from a small cooler that the staff also pulled from while we ate - a little odd. They weren't very busy so food came out fairly quickly. Cozy spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Great quick option after leaving the beach. read more

Best burgers in Wilmington. Always good. Fries are great as well. I DoorDash from here often

I love these burgers, there are 3 awesome burgers in town, these ones, the ones at Perla (yes, best dish on the menu), and shake shack to choose from. read more

So good. They're to die for. Grimm Burger's motto is spot on. I can see why this truck is legendary in the area. Everything we tried was flavor packed and worth every juicy bite: The Caroline Reaper: 2 smash patties with spicy red relish, pickled jalapeños and spicy G sauce (this burger definitely had a nice kick to it and would recommend to any spicy food lover) Tombstone: 2 smash patties, tangy bbq sauce, crispy onion straws and crispy bacon (everything was perfectly crispy which made for the best crunchy and juicy bite) Seasoned fries with grimmburger cheese sauce and scallions (so creamy, salty and delicious..best cheese sauce I've ever had honestly) Be sure to check out their schedule so you can experience yourself!! read more

We came over here after a long day at the beach and the Burger is tasty and it comes out very quick. If you are looking for a pit stop or something to have a good burger and fries and a beer this is a good place to try. It's not a place you come for the ambience, it's very simple and nothing special to the decor or anything in fact it cold use a little personality, although the location I went was small if there are any other maybe go there to see but here the service is pretty much a friendly quick fast food dine you order air and they bring the order. Not clear about the sauces and as easy and simple as the menu is the create their own words for their items and can feel a hit confusing but you can have burger or Philly cheese stakes or grilled cheese, so not a good place for vegans nor gluten free needed options available. This is for mean lovers, burger and fry lover and bear lovers and a great pick up place. read more

Great burgers, great fries, great service. Will definitely be back. The quality is there and so is the flavor.

Really good! We came and got a couple burgers and a large fry to share. I had the tombstone burger and wifey had the Grimm burger. Both were fantastic. The fries were really good and seasoned well. Not just your normal fries.... While it's not the cheapest, I find the quality and flavors are on par. Really great burgers and a wonderful experience. It's clean and the service was great. We will def be back again and again . read more

Stopped by Grimm Burger for the first time yesterday. Not a good experience. Staff wasn't particularly welcoming. Felt like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. When the order was ready one of the staff walked by and dropped them on the table without saying a word. Decided to "dine in" but changed our mind because of all the flies that were harassing us. Moved outside in hopes of escaping the flies. No luck, just as bad out there. To be fair, the food was pretty decent except at one point I had a bite that was un-chewable. Had to discretely dispose of that part into a napkin. Maybe we just caught the place on a bad day. At least for us it will be the first and last visit. read more

Best burgers in town and it isn't really close. The prices are reasonable compared to some other spots. They grind their own beef and you can definitely tell the difference. Don't sleep on the chopped cheeses, they are also excellent and a nice change if you don't just want a burger. read more

So stoked that Grimm finally has a physical location! I've been a few times since opening and the burgers are always on point and smashed to perfection. I love the classic grimmburger and the tombstone (can't beat a bbq burger), the fries are great and seasoned well too. The one thing I'm bummed about is the seating - it can get crowded (especially for dinner) pretty quickly and there's limited seating at that point. On my most recent visit (mind you it was a Friday night around 6), I sat outside with friends and we had people hovering over us making us feel like we had to scurry so they could have a seat. Outside of that, the food and service is stellar!! read more

Stopped in for lunch. Everything was OK. Food came out fast. Table had a Grimm burger and an executioner chopped cheese, pickle fries and onion rings, bottle of water and a beer. Thought $45 was a little pricy for this meal. Service was good and it was a typical burger joint furniture. I could have had the same meal at 5 Guys cheaper. Was it good? It wasn't near the other top shelf burger joints ( 5 Guys, Island burgers, Mess Hall or Winnie's) but adequate. Would I go there again? Probably not. read more

We had a hankering for a burger, and decided to try it out. The food was good, nothing fancy. Basically a food truck in a brick and mortar shop. We'll go back. read more

IMO this is one of the best burgers (if not the best burger) in Wilmington. I was worried that when they went form Food truck to Brick & Mortar the quality would change but I am pleasantly surprised that things are the same (if not better!). Their little corner spot has limited seating, so get there early on a weekend or a busy day (or plan to take out). If you like smashburgers, this is the spot for you. The meat and buns are high quality and their home made dips & sauces are the real deal. I like that they also are offering a more expanded menu in the brick & mortar (like their chopped cheeses and a dessert slice). I can't wait to see what other fun specials they highly in the future as well. read more

first visit loved it, second and third visits not so much, on all three occasions burger and fries. sometimes too much salt, and also the burger meat overwhelmed with a lot of greens. fourth visit this week, opted for the patty melt and onion rings, my faith in grimm has been restored! read more

Main piece of advice is to order ahead! Either online or over the phone. Walked right in and got my food promptly. Skipping the line always feels good. Food was great. Hot and fresh. And I love whatever sauce was on my Grimm Burger. Mac and cheese bites with homemade ranch was to die for. Place is popping so be prepared to wait if you go during a standard meal time! read more

Beef burgers and Impossible burger options are available here with a warm customer service experience complement. No turkey or chicken burger options, cheese is limited to American only. The burgers are juicy and toppings add a delicious flare to make for unique flavor compositions. Cold canned and bottle drinks with a big screen to catch the big game. Nothing fancy, but very delicious as a smash burger option that isn't Five Guys. Outdoor seating is available. read more

Love the food but me and all my co workers are heartbroken that the pickle fry's are gone. Still a good burger tho

Best burger in town. Followed them for years as a food truck and still with excellent quality. It is definitely the thing I crave!

Hamburgers are great and food came out fast. Definitely will be back again. They have a good beer selection.

Not good at all. Spent $90 for 5 burgers and fries and left really hungry. They nickel and dime your for ever thing and the service really lacks here. Save yourself $30-40 and go to PT and avoid all the BS. I would be surprised if this place was around by Mid Summer. 1/2 Star Rating. read more

Grimm Burger - Dinner - Burgers Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

I'm a burger guy and I must say that Grimm Burger does not disappoint. The pro was that the burger was tasty and was packed with flavor, however they don't have any value meals so everything you purchase is individually priced. For example: cheapest burger $10, fries $4.50, can of coke $1.50 which totals $16 bucks. Which does get a little pricey. The staff were also very friendly. The con about my first experience are two things, first- they have no fountain drink machines so you either purchase a bottle of water or a can of coke for $1.50. This is a deal breaker for me, I enjoy having a nice cold cup of coke full of ice with my meal. In my opinion this ruined my experience. The second con, was the lack of AC, I mean seriously it's hot and humid outside at least make your customers comfortable. Inside was warm, muggy, and uncomfortable which became very unpleasant to be, this shifted my focus on how uncomfortable I was instead of enjoying my meal. If you want to try this place I recommend to order your food to go and purchase your drink somewhere else and eat in your car. I may not be going back unless I purchase a drink somewhere else. I give them a 3 out of 5 stars. read more
