We tried this food truck at End of Days Distillery. The menu was simple, just three options. No vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free options were available. Each burger comes with double thin beef patties. We tried the Grimm Burger ($9) and Carolina Reaper ($10). They were both solid burgers. The Grimm Burger was a standard burger with American cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, and their G sauce. The G sauce was a slightly zesty mayo-based sauce. The Carolina Reaper was essentially the same but it was a bit spicy due to the jalapeno pickles and a spicy red relish. The burgers did not come with fries so we ordered a side of fries ($4) with the buttermilk and herb creamy sauce. The fries were thin and crispy. I didn't really like the sauce much. I probably would get the G sauce next time. We didn't have to wait too long for our order to be done, which was nice. Would eat at this food truck again. read more

Food is good, just expensive considering the actual product size (6 bites). Two burgers & a single beer were $35 w/ tip. Fries are a side item & are apparently gold plated. Delivery system looked like a nightmare for the employees. Our neighbors recommended this food truck--so we found the schedule on the website and tonight they were at the Flying Machine so we swung by to get dinner. Service was efficient and friendly. The bar they were parked at had a nice vibe. I had the Carolina reaper burger. It was the perfect spice. With the pickled jalapeños, I didn't miss the pickle. My son had the Grave digger which included bacon, pimento cheese, and seasoned fries. My husband had the double smash burger which is American cheese and traditional burger toppings. He also had chili cheese fries. All the food was enjoyed and we have no leftovers. read more

I never had the chance to try the food truck, so this was my first experience with the place. It's a bit hidden but a nice location with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It was busy when we arrived, but the line moved quickly. My group all ordered burgers as well as fries to share. All the workers we interacted with were far from grim; they were extremely kind and quick, which I don't usually expect at new restaurants. Our food was soon ready despite the busyness, and it looked great. Smashburgers are not my preferred burger, but I have still eaten a lot of them, and this one was excellent. I had the tombstone, and I would definitely get it again. Other members of my group had the classic grimmburger and the Carolina reaper, both of which they spoke highly of. Personally, the fries were my absolute favorite. I love a well-spiced, extra crispy fry, and I'd honestly come here for those alone. Overall, I had very few qualms with the experience. If I had to pick anything out, I think having ketchup bottles and free/tap water available would be nice, but I imagine such developments may come as they better adjust to going from a food truck to brick-and-mortar location. read more

Pretty tasty burger from this food truck parked at Broomtail brewery on a Friday night! There was no line but we saw plenty of people enjoying their burgers. We must've got there after the rush. I ordered the Carolina Reaper with added lettuce and onion. I was told it was a medium heat but I didn't think it was spicy at all but I definitely liked the spicy red relish and g sauce flavors! There's no surprise that this food truck draws a crowd to wherever they set up shop for an afternoon/evening (even on a chilly Thursday night). It is well worth the money ($16 for a tombstone burger and fries) in my opinion and even worth stumbling over unsupervised children (which can be found at most Wilmington breweries...) just to get a taste of their delicious smash burgers! The Tombstone consisted of a burger with cheese, bbq sauce, bacon, and fried onion straws. Their fries are a must as well, especially with the G-Sauce! Not much to say about their service and ambiance as it is a food truck, but they work as fast as possible and have always greeted me with a smile! Been here in the forum once. Had the Grimmburger and it was superior. Don't know what their mandatory sauce is, but it doesn't dominate the burger, it really makes it taste old-timey special. You don't need extra condiments, it is perfect as it is. I am a burger freak and this is at least as good as 5 Guys. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered online and I am glad I did, for it was crowded at check-in. I think they are victims of their own success for the place is very popular. Burger was ok, but they don't have tomatoes, I'd take P.T.'s burger over Grimm. Also, there staff all seemed to hate their job. No smiles, no thank you, more like "what do you want" attitude. Words don't approach the excellence this burger establishment achieves. In my experience, west coast to east coast this burger beats em all. It's a little more expensive than its competition here, but it's totally justified given how far ahead the food is. Caught the food truck at Flying Machine last night. Great smash burgers! We ordered the Carolina reaper burger ($9.75), the Gravedigger ($12) and cheese fries. Carolina Reaper has American cheese, spicy red relish, pickled jalapeño and spicy G sauce. Gravedigger has homemade pimento cheese, American cheese, seasoned fries, and crispy bacon on it. Popped into the Grimm Burger truck a few weeks ago to see what the fuss was about. I ordered the reaper burger and plain fries. The burger was very good for a smash burger. Plenty of juiciness and cheese. The fries were very good as well. I categorize burgers into 2 camps. Smash burgers like this and the other gourmet burgers where the meat quality plays a bigger factor. Obviously service and ambiance don't have much bearing here as this is a truck. Tried this food truck at the Hi Wire Brewing event today. I've been waiting to try them out , perfect day for a good burger. There are four burger options , all double thin patties served on a soft bun. You can also make any burger an "impossible burger" - vegetarian option. I decided on a Grimmburger; American cheese, pickle, onion, shredded lettuce and G-sauce, minus the G-sauce. The g-sauce is a mayo based with some spice. We also ordered a Tombstone American cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion, minus the cheese. And an order of fries. The food truck is clean, well stocked and well run. The wait was not terribly long , the food arrived hot and looked awesome. The burgers come wrapped in paper, easier to handle . First bite , the burger was well cooked, flavorful and well seasoned. The pickle was absolutely delicious, not the run of the mill pickle. The tombstone burger was also well seasoned, flavorful, the BBQ sauce was also flavorful. We have an annual event in our neighborhood every year. Which we have a food truck come. Very successful in the past. When I reached out to them. They never responded even after I sent a second follow up email. Very disappointing and something I made the entire neighborhood aware of. Poor service. read more

Burger was super legit. Fries were cold. And the worst part, I am pretty pretty sure my credit card numbers were copied at the food truck outside of a brewery in Wilmington and someone tried to use it at target and a man online gift card company.
