Very very large wine selection! They do a fantastic job sorting each wine out and they are all reasonably priced. Along with having the full wine shop they also have a restaurant. The restaurants menu has something for everyone and all the items we had tasted great. The ciabatta bread they have is absolutely incredible. All their salad items were very fresh. The biggest downside was expect dinner to last quite a long time. It took forever to get a drink and water. Then the food took a very long time to receive. We had someone have to leave our dinner because it was taking too long. The servers were all super nice but everything took forever. So the food is great and so is the wine just make sure to plan your time accordingly.

Bridgewater is the perfect mix of a restaurant and wine shop. The ambiance was warm and welcoming and gave the perfect vibe for a date or lunch/dinner with friends. Let's get into the food: - Nonna's meatballs- 10/10 I'm a meatball snob and these are some of the best I've had - Short rib burger- 10/10 the flavors were amazing and it was so juicy no sauce was needed - Asparagus in an Envelope- 11/10 I had no idea asparagus could be so delicious. The crazy part is they were so simply made with just salt and pepper; they come wrapped like they're in an envelope We also had the special drink which was a strawberry cosmo, an old fashion and a twist on a French 75 and all the drinks were amazing. I know their speciality is wine but the cocktails are great. The service was impeccable and all the servers were warm and very knowledgeable about the menu items. There is plenty of parking located in front of the restaurant. They also have a second location in Leland that I'm looking forward to trying!

I hosted a birthday party at Bridgewater Wines & Dines and it was spectacular. The venue was perfect. In addition to an excellent wine selection, the bar has a liquor license & accommodated every guest's beverage request. The food was delicious & the buffet was a work of art. The owner was easy to work with & was hands on during the party. If you are looking to host a party of any kind please consider B W&D. Better yet treat yourself byenjoy lunch or dinner there.

Atmosphere is impeccable. Wine is fabulous, Dayna the bartender is absolutely AMAZING! Check this place outtt, you will not regret it.

This wine shop has a lot of interesting wines. Some are priced well, some expensive. On certain days, I believe on Thursdays and Fridays, they have complimentary wine tasting of six different wines. I've done this twice now with friends. After our tastings, we would sit at the bar or a table and enjoy some of their foods. Once we shared the flatbreads; another time the small Charcuterie board; and ahi tuna. Everything has been excellent, although I think a few items are a little on the pricey side. It's a nice place to spend an hour or so.

Was so looking forward to trying this place. I had heard wonderful things about the food and it super close to me. It is restaurant week this week so I called and made a reservation for 6:30 for a party of two . They send plenty of reminders about your reservation, and somehow they moved it up 15 minutes, but no big deal. We were greeted promptly and showed to our table. There were several other tables occupied and people at the bar. I had looked over the restaurant week menu and had decided upon the Citrus Encrusted Grouper with mandarin orange and basil risotto. Our server was Scout and she was pretty attentive, we were given menus and beverage order was taken. They do charge a corkage fee , $10.00 per bottle, she did suggest a tasty red blend to go with the dinner. We both ordered the grouper , I started with the Creamy Tomato Basil Bisque . Meanwhile it was trivia night , so we could join in the game while we waited for our dinners. We waited a short time and the first course came out . The soup looked nice and rich and smelled delicious. It had a nice chunky creamy texture and great flavor, it was warm , not hot . Dinner arrived shortly after we finished our first courses. When it arrived , I wasn't sure about it . First off the bowl was ice cold , the temperature that a salad would be served on- first mistake. And not sure what the non descriptive white sauce was on the top . The menu said nothing about it , it was very off putting and had very bland in taste. So what ever nice crunch the encrusted top would have was destroyed by this white sauce. The broccoli looked like it had been microwaved, there was no moisture on it at all . Only bonus point about it was it was hotter than the fish and risotto. The fish was way over done , in fact burned on the bottom . The fish was tough to eat, it was like eating rubber . The risotto has gelatinous- glue like , it was terrible . Very little orange flavor and there were green strands of basil? in it. The encrusted layer was thick- just like dipped in bread crumbs twice then fried. I was so disappointed, I had high hopes for a delicious dinner. The white sauce on top we discovered was a light lemon Alfredo sauce, it should have been left off, or maybe offered on the side. The soup was the winner of this dinner . I took dessert to go , still have not tried it . It was a little loud with the trivia happening . Maybe they do flatbreads and charcuterie boards well , but nothing more. I just tried my dessert - Bourbon Pecan Bar with vanilla bean gelato . Yikes I almost broke a tooth - it was the "edge of the pan brownie slice " , the crust was so hard. Nope , it's definitely not worth another trip.

Tonight my friend and I were fortunate enough for a reservation to not show up so we got a table. Phil was playing and he was very entertaining. This was my first time there and it won't be my last. I started with a glass of sparkling wine and the burrata appetizer. The burrata was served with thick slices of bread and basil pesto. My friend has the most delicious Riesling I ever tasted. Wines are priced very well and flights are available. The owner came over and sat with us. I really enjoyed getting to meet her and hearing the back story of how this came to be. For our entrees I had the crab cake on top of a salad and my friend has a flatbread with chicken and peaches. I really thought the crab cake was excellent and the flatbread was great, too. I would like to come back for Monday night music trivia. Really great experience.

This place is super cute. We came for a lunch to catch up and visit. You pay a service charge for the wine since it is already at a low retail value. Make sure you ask which plates are small plates and which are not-so-small plates. We ended up with way too much food! Everything was so delicious. Definitely will come back!

This store/ restaurant has been open for about three months. Their first location was in Leland and that is where they learned their business. This location has a larger inventory of wines from all over the world. I think it is the largest that I have seen, I am pretty sure it is larger than Costco's and Harris Teeters. They have a free wine tasting on Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting a 4PM, you get to taste 5 different wines. Each day is presented by a different wine distributor. Fifteen wines in one week, where else beside California are you going to find this. Now for the food, we can only speak of what I had at it was delicious. My wife had their Meatball which is listed under their "Small and Not so Small Plates" They were three meatballs aptly described as " not so tiny meatballs with house-made marinara sauce, a dallop of chilled ricotta, shaved parmesan, & fresh basil. The meal was the perfect size and she said it was delicious. I ordered the Reuben Flatbread which consisted of Swiss cheese, mozzarella cheese, corn beef, sauerkraut, finished with a special sauce & and sprinkled with caraway seeds. The special sauce didn't replace Thousand Island, but it was good. There were two pieces of flat bread, if it wasn't so good, I could have easily taken one home, but I ate both of them. For dessert I made a mistake that I am going to regret but it was too good to pass up. We ordered the Chocolate Fondue "warm fondue with dippers". The Chocolate is Belgium Chocolate, and it is creamy and delicious and definitely not on my diet, but I don't give a dam. If I die, I'll die happy. Before I finish this review, I have to say something about the service. It rivels he best I have seen in Wilmington. ALL the waitstaff are interested in seeing that you enjoy your meal. Our waitress, Brook, went beyond her requirements. When our desert came out it was missing the Don Nut Holes. Since we have never been there before, we would have never noticed it, but she did. Dipped in chocolate they were fantastic. It would have been a small enjoyment that I would have missed if it wasn't for her attention to detail. Everything considered, I'd give them six stars if I could. If you are visiting Wilmington, you have to put this location on your agenda for a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening.

This Unicorn Fish was incredible!

The second visit, however, came with a greeting I've never heard in my fifty‑plus years: "You've been out all day. I can't serve you because I'll be liable if you're over served." I've bartended before. I understand the responsibility. But I was never asked a single question about what I'd actually been doing. For clarity: we had lunch at Michael's Seafood before our first visit. I had one non‑alcoholic seltzer at Island Beverage, and my partner had a four‑flight sampler. After that, we went thrifting and shopping at Goodwill, Lowe's Foods, and Dollar Tree. No drinking. No bar‑hopping. Nothing even close. On our second visit, Geneva gave us water and let us charge a phone -- and I do appreciate that. But being told "you've been out all day" instead of "welcome back" was unnecessary, inaccurate, and frankly insulting. It was an assumption presented as fact, and it was embarrassing. What made it even more absurd was watching Geneva continue to serve patrons who were clearly intoxicated while I sat there with a glass of water. So here's the takeaway: Don't go in twice in one day. Apparently that alone is enough to get treated like you've been drinking all over town. After this experience, I won't be going in on any day. I hope the staff can handle situations like this with actual communication instead of jumping straight to conclusions.

They had a more than ample selection of local brews on tap, and all that we sampled were delish. They had a huge selection of wine and even served wine by the glass. There were a ton of games to play while you sip, which will be on our agenda next time. The bartender couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming to 2 non-locals! Next time we are bringing the rest of the crew!
