Housed inside a restored 1947 Quonset hut -- those curved steel structures originally designed for WWII -- the space manages to feel both industrial and welcoming at the same time. Inside, the high arched ceiling, natural light, plants, and comfortable leather seating create a relaxed lounge atmosphere that feels intentional rather than trendy. Outside, the patio area with string lights and open-air seating gives you a second completely different vibe, perfect for enjoying North Carolina sunshine. The cocktails absolutely delivered. The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is a standout. Brown butter-washed bourbon adds a subtle nutty richness that rounds off the edges of the whiskey beautifully, while the cinnamon bitters and maple bring warmth without turning the drink into dessert. It's creative but still respects the classic Old Fashioned structure -- which is exactly how a riff on a traditional cocktail should be done. So if you want to try to talk... join a group- if you want to smoke and read or watch tv... go to another area. There is also a back room that had a tv and some couches. They have a full bar as well. So while the wife, daughter and granddaughter went shopping, I struck up a conversation with Lior and 3 other customers in the store, puffed on a potent, but flavorful 70x5 cigar, and watched the world go by for an hour or so. Doesn't get much better than that! When I left, I thanked Lior for his hospitality, and he thanked me for my repeat business. She then proceeded to recommend me cigars not even close... idm people not having knowledge but she was pretentious without even having the proper facts. Not to mention i felt pressured to make a decision as she stood in the humidor and watched me as I was browsing. Currently they have three different kinds of rum, made on site. We sampled all 3 of the rums: Porch Dog, Queens Share, and Sea Level. All of the rum is set on French oak for 30 days. I liked porch dog and sea level the most, they were very smooth. Porch Dog is 80 proof and distilled with coffee, figs, apricots, raisins. Sea Level rum is 68 proof, distilled with port wine and vanilla. Queens Share is 100 proof and very strong tasting. If you like rum, you definitely have to check this place out. Their hours are not very convenient at the moment though, only open Saturdays.
