The back has more seating outside, including a comfortable looking lounge. Inside there is just a mixture of furniture and decor, a little mismatched, but, it was fun to go into each room to see what it looked like. There is plenty of parking behind Wendy's House. Free WiFi. Besides the wine, they have a buildable charcuterie, chocolates, and other packaged snacks and sweets. There is a glass display fridge with all of the charcuterie items you can choose from and the staff will give you a charcuterie board you can put the items on. Some of the items included salami, prosciutto, kind cultures, and different cheeses. We stuck to their free samples of white chocolate and cheese on crackers. We'll have to try out their charcuterie board next time! For wines you can either select a bottle or self-serve select wines from their WineEmotion system. They had a booklet listing all of the wines they had. We decided to try out the cool WineEmotion system. First we had to pay $3 for a card that is used for the WineEmotion, and then put additional money on the card to purchase the wine. The staff gave us a wine glass and gave us a new wine glass with each different wine that we tried. So you insert the card into a slot in the machine and select from one of three choices for each wine. The choices were either a sample, half a glass, or a full glass and it's a different price for each wine. It was nice how for each different wine that we chose, the machine would show how much balance we had left on our card. I tried three red wines including rombauer vineyards zinfandel. I wasn't a big fan of all of them, because of the spices. It would have been helpful if there was a description of each wine's flavors listed somewhere. I'm sure the friendly staff wouldn't have minded describing them to us. This was a nice place to hang out and to try out some wines. The experience was just like hanging out at someone's house. It would be fun to try out their wine tasting nights next time.

We've been to dozens of vineyards and winery's along VA wine trail and this is easily by far some of the finest wine we've had of all the varietals. Even types I don't normally care for were incredible here. Couldn't find one type we didn't like. They make it right there on premises. The owner was there making the wine and our tasting host was the son. We did three tastings of 19 wines plus a few extras and were more than impressed. If your looking for an attraction or things to do near Wilmington, I highly recommend this winery to visit!!

John told us he could combine two of their beers and it would taste exactly like a Creamsicle. Well, he wasn't kidding. It smelled and tasted exactly like a Creamsicle. WOW! Needless to say, we were there every day for the three days of our trip. Each time, John brought us new tastes to try. I cannot emphasize how much fun he makes this place. Imagine if you had a small local place that you had been going to for the past 5 years. That's how John made me feel starting with my first time. On one of the top shelves of the small store which is located in the front of the room (the bar area is in the back half of the room) was a giant bottle of wine. It turned out to be five liters. I knew that if I returned from a winery without having brought my lovely wife a bottle, she might lecture me. So, I decided to get her that bottle. I really loved the patio and the screen porched area where you can enjoy your wines. Landscape is gorgeous that you can see the vineyards from where you are sitting. He really gave amazing customer service by greeting each person who walked in and remained chill even when the line grew and he was the only person working.
