We came here to enjoy a retirement party. Danielle was the organizer of the event. Danielle and the staff at the event professionally & efficiently managed all the behind scenes of the party and served all the guests there. There was a lot of paid parking nearby the cobblestone road leading to the Warehouse on the Water. The entrance area was a steep and broad stair way to the entrance porch area of the venue. The entrance opened up to two large clean spacious high ceiling areas to sit comfortably on couches or tables & chairs. The area was excellent for enjoying conversations & food. The bathrooms were clean & fancy. Overall, our time was pleasant. It was the first encounter I ever had at a retirement party and one of the most upscale parties I ever attended. I didn't see any beer on tap but they do have beer. Wine and mixed drinks available, obviously. The glass of wine I got was $12. Ehh, a little steep. The elevator to the 9th floor is tiny. Four normal size people or two bigguns. You can take the stairs, and I did going up, but you better be in shape. Not sure that I would ever buy a membership here but it was fun to go once.

Housed inside a restored 1947 Quonset hut -- those curved steel structures originally designed for WWII -- the space manages to feel both industrial and welcoming at the same time. Inside, the high arched ceiling, natural light, plants, and comfortable leather seating create a relaxed lounge atmosphere that feels intentional rather than trendy. Outside, the patio area with string lights and open-air seating gives you a second completely different vibe, perfect for enjoying North Carolina sunshine. The cocktails absolutely delivered. The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is a standout. Brown butter-washed bourbon adds a subtle nutty richness that rounds off the edges of the whiskey beautifully, while the cinnamon bitters and maple bring warmth without turning the drink into dessert. It's creative but still respects the classic Old Fashioned structure -- which is exactly how a riff on a traditional cocktail should be done. The Limoncello Tonic was bright, refreshing, and crisp -- a perfect counterpoint. House-made limoncello with tonic and citrus notes makes for an easy-drinking, sunny cocktail that feels light but still flavorful. Ideal patio drink. Service and presentation appear polished, and the fact that they distill many of their own spirits in-house adds authenticity you don't always get at cocktail lounges. There's also something admirable about adaptive reuse like this. Taking a mid-century industrial structure and turning it into a modern social space is a reminder that good design doesn't have to erase history -- it can build on it. Overall: Excellent atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, unique historic setting, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. A place that feels both local and special at the same time. A special shout-out to Abigail, the bar back, who had a fantastic system for handling the crowd. Instead of everyone clustering around the bar trying to figure out where the line started or ended, she encouraged us to grab a seat and brought the drinks out when they were ready. She brought out the charcuterie board's and poured our four tastings, two red, and two white. I am not a fan of red wine although I did like one of them, so I purchased a bottle. I asked for another slice of bread to finish my brie, and she got me one. She went above and beyond to make the experience top notch. We are going to have our meetings there a couple times a year. Owner Ray Baca, has created a dream space for any event planner. The walls are original historic brick, and the furnishing is clean and modern. My favorite feature is the raw feel; this space can easily be outfitted to fit any event. The venue is also unique because of the kitchen and easy setup space for catering. You will not find another venue of this caliber with this unique setup anywhere is downtown Wilmington. The central location is also wonderful if the weddings located in downtown Wilmington. I am using this venue to host a business owner's info session. Mr. Baca has been a pleasure to work with and I hope to host other events here in the future. This place is more beautiful than I could've put together even with 5 years to plan the wedding. (My wife did 98% of the planning) We met with Jill the coordinator and immediately requested her help day-off for the event. She was instrumental in helping my wife maintain a level head when all of the people started coming together (when do the lights show up, whos your music person, lighting, food, where do we stand?, who's the minister, what song do you want played for each dance, etc, etc) This was all laid in Jills hands and we were able to focus on getting ready! We met with her a handful of times leading up to the event and she still remains a friend, not only for her great help during the planning, but also for her peace of mind during one of the most stressful parties we've ever thrown. The day went by fast, and we got to be immersed in the moment without worrying that something wasn't as it should be, we simply enjoyed the day. It was setup beautifully, and she even helped us out last minute getting some tables laid out! Jill, and the Atrium were an amazing find, and helped start us off on the rest of our life together.

Hours before the ceremony I received a call from the staff offering to set up chairs under the covered section of the venue in case the rain didn't let up. Not only did they set up the chairs for us, in the hours leading up to the guests arriving they were sweeping, squeegeeing, and air blowing rain water into the drains to keep the area dry for guests. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to use the traditional aisle and benches but it was still just as beautiful and perfect as I imagined. I could not be happier and guests have continually been commenting on how beautiful and unique the space was.

2019 WILMINGTON, NC…read more I don't know if we missed something, but if you compare this riverwalk to the ones in Savannah, San Antonio and even Oklahoma City, this one is not anywhere close. They have made a good start, but need many more restaurants. We saw the backs of restaurants with the entrances on Front Street. The sights were too industrialized for me. The actual boardwalk itself needed repair in places. There were a lot of cranes and building going on. I hope that this is the start of new improvements so that next time I won't be disappointed. We walked about a mile of the two miles. Sights included the battleship, the bridge, hotels and some boats going by. There weren't very many people. I think we only passed two others during our whole walk. One we left the riverfront area and went on to Front Street we saw more action, restaurants and shops.
