Situated on the 9th floor, the Penthouse easily offered the most stunning views of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge I've seen anywhere in Wilmington. The corner of the Penthouse faces directly toward the bridge. The sun was shining brightly when we first arrived and began to set beautifully behind the USS North Carolina. It is a small area that features a nice bar area and open floor plan. The Windows are large and offer beautiful views of the Cape Fear River and downtown ILM. Floor length, sheer white curtains were pulled back to reveal the downtown ILM backdrop but even pulled closed, you can still see the city. I personally think it would be a great location for a bridal shower, luncheon, or tea. It could also be used for a rehearsal dinner, but space could be an issue depending upon the size of the bridal party. I hope to visit here again soon!

Being small gets you in close proximity to the performers and makes for a very high energy setting with lots of interaction. The cost for the concert we attended was awesome, less than $10 per ticket to see an up and coming act! They serve alcohol and the restrooms are relatively clean. I will definitely keep checking for future concerts and events.

You will not find another venue of this caliber with this unique setup anywhere is downtown Wilmington. The central location is also wonderful if the weddings located in downtown Wilmington. They have made a good start, but need many more restaurants. We saw the backs of restaurants with the entrances on Front Street. The sights were too industrialized for me. The actual boardwalk itself needed repair in places. There were a lot of cranes and building going on. I hope that this is the start of new improvements so that next time I won't be disappointed. We walked about a mile of the two miles. Sights included the battleship, the bridge, hotels and some boats going by. There weren't very many people. I think we only passed two others during our whole walk. One we left the riverfront area and went on to Front Street we saw more action, restaurants and shops. I have included some pictures for your enjoyment.
