I'm headed back to NC on orders, and this place is one of the reasons I am looking forward to returning. I discovered this gem last time I was stationed here and it was consistently the best place I went to for wine. They always made my daughter and dog feel very welcome whenever I brought them along. And the wine is unlike anything I've tasted. I've toured wineries in Temecula and this is the only place where I'll easily come home with a case of wine. The gift baskets are amazing too. I watched it grow and expand over the course of three years and the quality of service remained amazing. I am happy to see the winery survived COVID-19 where many small businesses went under. My Mr and his mom wanted to take me to a winery. They mentioned Huffman's and couldn't wait to go because of the great reviews on yelp and google. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't packed but they had quite a few customers. We called beforehand on the facility being dog friendly and they are! Bonus!! We were greeted right away. The owner was knowledgeable, down to earth and took the time to explain each wine tasting. For $10.00 you get to choose 10 wine tastings from the dry, semi sweet, and sweet section. We chose mainly drys and 3 from the semi sweets. Our tasting: -Porch Time (Viognier) -Sunny Days (Seyval Blanc) -Southern Exposure (Riesling) -Sauvignon Blanc -Fire Side Red (Blend of Norton, Syrah, Malbec) -Legacy Red (Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot) -Legacy Blend (Cabernet Franc & Merlot) -Carolina Sunshine (Green Apple Riesling) -Summer Nights (Blueberry Pinot Noir Blend) -Miley Creek Red (Best served room temperature for semi sweets- wine using cocoa nibs) My fave was the Legacy Red and the Sunny Days that I had to bring home two bottles. Plus I purchases the Summer Nights for our neighbors as a gift. All at a reasonable price! If you are not a wine drinker and just tagging along, they do serve beer (not on tap). Mainly domestic bottles. They also sell local cheese and crackers. Connected to the winery is a gift shop full of cute decor, T-shirts and gift ideas. I really loved the patio and the screen porched area where you can enjoy your wines. Landscape is gorgeous that you can see the vineyards from where you are sitting. The inside is spacious and has a laid back feel. On weekends they have events with food trucks so check the schedule. 10% on half case of wines 20% for a case They do ship to most states. What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend you check out this place. You will not be disappointed. Hopefully we will back again next year when we visit My Mr's parents again. read more

Always worth the drive. This family run vineyard is laid back and Freindly. If wine isn't your thing that's ok they have beer as well. You can get a charcuterie tray, a selection of Ash County cheese or even some home made pimento cheese and crackers. You can chill out inside on the leather couch or enjoy a nice cigar out side. I wanted to love this place but just couldn't. Pluses: The space was homey and inviting. Ample seats for tasting. The woman doing the tasting was super busy but worked quickly and was extremely nice. I love family owed local businesses and this is one. Nice outdoor sitting area. The fruit wines are very sweet but very good if you are a sweet wine drinker. Minuses: The majority of the space is a very cool gift shop that is legally a separate business from the winery--so if you get food or gifts while doing a tasting, you have to pay in two separate areas. The dry (and several semi-sweet) wines are underdeveloped and actually taste very medicinal. Overall: I will go back as the family that owns the business seemed awesome. I think they need some work on some of the wines but I was able to find some wines I liked. My wife is a wine snob and had a harder time finding something to enjoy but was able to find one. EXTREMELY RUDE BARTENDER!! 8 adults finally together to eat and drink with 4 kids. Bartender said only Kid food was French fries. So we preordered kids Taco Bell. although place was empty, they had no interest in out business If kids were going to eat Taco Bell. She even tried to tell us they couldn't eat it in OUR VEHICLES. Most East Coast North Carolina wineries focus on Muscadine wine; however, Huffman's Vineyard carries a wine for everyone! They have summer wines, sweet wines, dry wines, and more full bodied wines such as Norton (which is almost impossible to find in this area). Tastings are inexpensive and the staff are kind. The winery is family owned and has a very cozy feel. Outside seating is available along with Giant Jenga and cornhole for vineyard guests to enjoy while they drink the wine of their choice. What a wonderful, relaxing afternoon we had at Huffman Vineyards! It's a family owned place and you definitely feel right at home! We came with our toddler and he kept busy with the toys they had set up for him! There's also tons of room outside for kids to run around. They also let us walk through the first 4 rows of vines to taste the grapes! The green apple Riesling was my favorite, very crisp and refreshing. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch where they played good, chill music and our son was able to run around without going to far. We will definitely be back! read more

I was so disappointed! I read all these awesome reviews and thought I'd take my family there while visiting. The lady behind the bar was rude to me and other members of the party. It states kid friendly but that just wasn't the case at all! We pushed two tables together and when we went outside to gather everyone the owner separated them and sat at one himself. Very embarrassing for me. Grateful my family is awesome and we laughed about it and found someplace more accommodating to our party. read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this little vineyard. As a local this is my go to place to just relax, enjoy a delicious glass of locally crafted wine, and spend time with my "wine family". There aren't many places you can go with the whole family and feel welcome right off the bat. The kids have their own play area or they are welcome to run and play out back in the large yard or climb the old oak tree outside. You don't have to just Sit and Sip, grab a glass and go shopping in the extensive gift shop that includes goodies such as handmade jewelry by a local artist, handcrafted soaps, and lots of fun tees and snacks as well! I learned so much...I tried to let everything sink in, it got harder to concentrate by the last taste...lol We will have to go back a couple more times to try them all. I love this place and the people who run it. You feel like your far away from town. It's family oriented.. you can take kids and the can play giant Jenga or play outdoors in green grass among the vineyard. They have a great front porch entryway with rocking chairs and it's screened in so you don't have many bugs! There's been many time I've sat in a rocker with a glass of wine rocking the day away watching the sky, chatting with friends. They have a wine for everyone. They have dry sweet or semi sweet and for those who don't want wine you can still go with your friend or spouse and have a beer. They have a glass front fridge with a variety of beer. On weekends they do different things in season. They have cookouts and you can bring your family. Sometimes they will even have a band or a cook off. Those are really fun events. It took about an hour to get there from Fairfield Harbor but, the trip was worth it. They have dry semisweet and sweet wines. The best one we found for our taste was the summer nights which is a tripe berry semisweet blend. Just bottled so we bought 3 bottles. We had ten tastings for $10 before we decided to buy.
