She explained the available meal options and even brought out a sample platter for us to make an informed decision on our individual meal choices. She described all the sauces available with recommendations on mixing sauces as an alternative option. She was super sweet to bring us desserts to end our delicious meal. All the workers there were really nice and helpful! Parking: Easy and plenty. Space: The restaurant was decorated with all things in support and honoring those of service (firefighters, veteran, military, etc.). Open seating after placing your order. Average noise just really depending on how full the restaurant is. Clean and tidy, including the bathroom. Overall, good food and good vibes! Go give them a try if in the area

First time trying Mission BBQ since reading they are top 5 chaon for brisket. I'll have to say…read morethey definitely know what they're doing. Brisket was delicious, ribs were really good. BBQ beans and creamy corn sides were both good. Cornbread was some of the lightest fluffy I've ever had. They have a total of 8 sauces so you can find your favorite. Have to ask for white sauce. Service was fantastic for a seat yourself place. "Myra" circled the seating area offering samples, explained sauces, checked if you needed anything. Place was clean and well kept

This review is long overdue…read more Can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet. My experience with Thig's BBQ goes back to around 1999. I was stationed at Courthouse Bay and it was the first time I experienced Carolina whole hog bbq. Dan worked on base, but also provided the instructor staff with Carolina bbq and all the fixins'. I was hooked! After years of serving all over the place, I was happy to find out he opened his own place, Thig's BBQ House & catering. The family and I ate here a few times trying everything they had. Every time we come here, we know the food, service, and atmosphere is great. We enjoyed it so much, Thig's catered my retirement. All communication was through the daughter, who I believe handles the catering. I gave her the back story which she appreciated. She delivered the catering on time and set it all up. There was so much food! Brisket, pork, fried chicken, vegetables, and tea. Everyone raved about the food! I think we ordered too much, but it was worth it. We ate leftovers for as long as we could. I'm definitely impartial to Thig's for Carolina BBQ. I'll continue to enjoy this place as long as I can. Highly recommend giving Thig's a try!

Another review I've already written and yelp disappeared it…read more So here we go again. Clean somewhat sparse decor lacks personality, almost to the point of feeling sterile. I hope they spruce the place up over time. Like many places post-COVID they have things on their website menu they no longer sell. My wife made a point of praising the hushpuppies, some BBQ joints are not worth eating but these were good. I was hoping for spare ribs, Kansa City style ribs or beef ribs but they don't do those anymore. The beans were good and worth eating, the brisket was moist and not too smoky. We generally liked everything. One thing for oaths with sensitive hearing, because there are few decorations and hard walls and floors the room is kind of loud and echoey. I hope they make some effort to soften the sound, hang some soft decorations or do something to make the sound more appealing instead of the sound of an empty warehouse.

Southern Harvest Soul Food - 3 out of 5 stars…read more I hate to be the guy who leaves bad reviews, especially after giving a place multiple chances, but this was unfortunately the last straw for me. I drove nearly an hour to get to this restaurant, excited to try the oxtails. Upon arrival, I was told they were no longer being served because they were out. This marks the third time I've driven there specifically for oxtails and was unable to get them due to being out of stock. This wasn't late in the afternoon either--I arrived right at lunch opening. I know what some of you are thinking: why not call ahead? You're absolutely right. That mistake is on me, and I've definitely learned that lesson. On a previous visit, I tried the shrimp and grits, and I'll give credit where it's due--they were actually phenomenal and easily the best thing I've had there. Unfortunately, my other experiences haven't matched that quality. The last time I visited, I settled for the brisket burrito. While sweet and savory can work together, this one was overwhelmingly sweet and just didn't hit the mark. I also asked for a Diet Coke and was told they only had Sprite, regular Coke, and water, which was surprising. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy, which had almost no flavor. For a southern soul food restaurant, that was pretty disappointing. I don't plan on coming back. I'm not mad--just disappointed. I hope this review helps others avoid making a long drive expecting a specific dish only to find out it's unavailable.

My daughter had the sausage n biscuits she said they were well made , a bit salty and spicy but overall pretty solid. The service was adequate we did not have to wait long for our food, the ambiance was nice on a chilly day was warm with wam music and delicious smells. We will definitely be back.

We didn't have to wait long as it was delivered to our table by a nice server quite quickly! We were in and out in about 10-15 minutes. I will say I was expecting more grilled items since it was barbecue but nonetheless the fried chicken was quite yummy. My husband ordered the value pack for the chicken sandwich and I had the combo plate with chicken and a sweet tea. The sweet tea was definitely sweet but delicious too! The combo plate was pretty good as it came with cole slaw potato salad, dark meat, and fried chicken. Quite filling! I did order white meat and was given dark meat by accident but it wasn't a big deal. My husband enjoyed his sandwich too and the fries were good. All the food was good but the service was spectacular!

I got the dark meat chicken plate that came with a non mayo based coleslaw, potato salad, and hush puppies. I added a banana pudding and non sweet tea. The place is huge inside with lots of tables and staff is super friendly. Food came out under 10 min. The chicken was hot and juicy but I wasn't a huge fan of the very crumbly batter. The coleslaw was sweet and was very cold and it was decent. The potato salad was ok but not memorable - not sweet but did not taste of heavy mayo. The hush puppies were ok - again nothing I would have to come back for. The kid got a pulled pork sandwich which had a good amount of meats but really could of used a bbq sauce. The have a vinager based sauce on the tables but it very thin and heavy on the vinager. The banana pudding was my least favorite thing - it was a very sweet vanilla pudding with that artificial banana and no real bananas. It did include a few vanilla wafers (however it was very cheap so you get what you pay for). Overall the meal wasn't bad I just wouldn't feel the need to come back. However bonus star for being clean and the friendly staff.
