Love the vibe, the views, the drinks! Great place to relax with friends or shop for a gift or something for yourself. Adorable outside game area for kids too!

The bake bottle and brew is in the historical part of Swansboro. A cute little town by the marshes. This shop had a bunch of cute gifts that you can purchase several types of ice cream and beers and wine. A. Once you grab all your goodies, you can step out to the back porch and view the dock with the boats in the water. It's very peaceful and very nice. Service was friendly and the ice cream was good.

Coffee? Tea? Smoothie? Ice cream? Wine? Beer? There's bound to be something here to satisfy your cravings! This casual, low key shop offers wine tastings and wine making classes along with home brew lessons and supplies for both. The bar flowed with locals mingling and enjoying this chilly, rainy evening. But a little misty rain didn't keep us from climbing the brick stairs to this spot either! This white building itself is historic and assuming with its white railings and large inviting porch! Inside you'll find not only the bar scene, but families enjoying their frozen treats! The gift shop is chock full of fascinating gifts and gadgets. Some are humorous as well as practical. I love the wooden chimes hanging from the ceiling and the colorful sock rack by the entrance. Along with T-shirts, jewelry, fabulous scarves, retro wall signs with snarky sayings, funny kitchen towels, games and cards, there's a lot to see in this small space! You'd be hard pressed to leave empty handed! Next time I visit Swansboro, I'm planning on coming back when it's warmer in the spring, I'm definitely coming here for a big ole ice cream cone, sitting on that wide porch and soaking in the scenic views!!

Street parking available. Located on the second floor of old, historic building in the historic portion of Swansboro. If you are looking for sweets, beer, wine, & alcohol making items this is your place! Wide assortment of sarcastic items such as socks, dish towels, etc. wine & beer making kits. Large selection of specialty wines & beers. Yummy & large assortment of ice creams with choice of cup, waffle, or sugar cone. Ample seating inside & outside. Friendly staff. Adequately priced items. We had the key lime, vanilla, Superman, & mint chocolate chip ice cream which was delicious! We truly enjoyed our time spent in this eclectic little shop by the intercostal waterway.

Cute little spot for family with great view to the bay. Kids can enjoy a scoop of ice cream, adults can enjoy cold beer or ice cream or both. Sitting in the deck looking out to water and feel the breezy wind flowing through your skin definitely is the best summer sensation. The shop inside has a lot of fun stuffs, some handmade bag and wallet, seasoning, craft beer and wine ...

Gorgeous back patio overlooking white oak river.

Fun place with a beautiful back porch overlooking the White Oak River. Good music and nice selection of drafts and bottled. Great spot to stop and chill.

What a great little gem on the water! Great place to meet for coffee, shop the neat store area filled with so many great items, then head outside to enjoy the gorgeous view of the water. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back again.

So what time do customers "specifically" need to be there to make sure cleaning hasn't started for the ice cream scooper?

I'm headed back to NC on orders, and this place is one of the reasons I am looking forward to…read morereturning. I discovered this gem last time I was stationed here and it was consistently the best place I went to for wine. They always made my daughter and dog feel very welcome whenever I brought them along. And the wine is unlike anything I've tasted. I've toured wineries in Temecula and this is the only place where I'll easily come home with a case of wine. The gift baskets are amazing too. I watched it grow and expand over the course of three years and the quality of service remained amazing. I am happy to see the winery survived COVID-19 where many small businesses went under. Very excited to come back to this place and its employees!

My Mr and his mom wanted to take me to a winery. They mentioned Huffman's and couldn't wait to go…read morebecause of the great reviews on yelp and google. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't packed but they had quite a few customers. We called beforehand on the facility being dog friendly and they are! Bonus!! We were greeted right away. The owner was knowledgeable, down to earth and took the time to explain each wine tasting. For $10.00 you get to choose 10 wine tastings from the dry, semi sweet, and sweet section. We chose mainly drys and 3 from the semi sweets. Our tasting: -Porch Time (Viognier) -Sunny Days (Seyval Blanc) -Southern Exposure (Riesling) -Sauvignon Blanc -Fire Side Red (Blend of Norton, Syrah, Malbec) -Legacy Red (Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot) -Legacy Blend (Cabernet Franc & Merlot) -Carolina Sunshine (Green Apple Riesling) -Summer Nights (Blueberry Pinot Noir Blend) -Miley Creek Red (Best served room temperature for semi sweets- wine using cocoa nibs) My fave was the Legacy Red and the Sunny Days that I had to bring home two bottles. Plus I purchases the Summer Nights for our neighbors as a gift. All at a reasonable price! If you are not a wine drinker and just tagging along, they do serve beer (not on tap). Mainly domestic bottles. They also sell local cheese and crackers. Connected to the winery is a gift shop full of cute decor, T-shirts and gift ideas. I really loved the patio and the screen porched area where you can enjoy your wines. Landscape is gorgeous that you can see the vineyards from where you are sitting. The inside is spacious and has a laid back feel. On weekends they have events with food trucks so check the schedule. 10% on half case of wines 20% for a case They do ship to most states. What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend you check out this place. You will not be disappointed. Hopefully we will back again next year when we visit My Mr's parents again.

This is truly a fun place and a labor of love. We're new to Oriental, so we were just wandering and…read moredecided to check it out a month or so back. We drove up the narrow lane, pulled into the small lot, and out came some wonderfully bounding dogs full of friendliness. Our hosts quickly took them inside (our dog was happy to see them from the car but the barking was a little much from him!), and we went inside for a delightful tasting. This isn't Napa, or Paso Robles - we're from California - but these are delicious wines, and we loved them. There's a great selection of locally made jams, which we stocked up on for friends, but it was the home-iness and kindness that we liked the most. We started as customers, and left - laden with wine that we've enjoyed - as friends!

This is truly a "mom and pop" shop. It is located about a mile out of Oriental (a hamlet) behind…read morean old cemetery. We sampled several: the Norton (light red and extremely dry), mead, Coastal white (semi-dry), blackberry and blueberry. Both the berry wines are young but fruity. One should not compare this to French or Napa wines. All of the Neuse River Winery wines are simple, straight forward. They are drinkable. The coastal white pairs well with cheeses, fish or chicken. The two berry wines can be used as dessert wines. I was pleasantly surprised by how little after taste was detected. In the backroom I saw 5-gal carboys, 15 to 55-ga SS tanks. There are no oak barrels for secondary fermentation. I suppose these fruits are not ideal for malolactic fermentation. The wife has a quilt business and sells local products such as oil paintings, wine glasses, fruit jams and twinklets. Both husband and wife are simple people who are turning their hobbies into income producing activities. They were very hospitable. Don't expect bold wines or complex wines. The small quiet village is picturesque. It is about 28 miles from New Bern and 9 miles to the Cherry Branch Minnesott ferry terminal. Today the village had very few visitors. I plan to return to explore in the summer when more tourists are here. UPDATE: Don't buy any wine. They cannot be stored. Fermentation continued in these bottles leading to CO2 build-up and explosion. One bottle exploded on my dining room rack, spraying blueberry juice all over one wall, the rack, my dining room furniture and the hardwood floor. I have revised my rating to 1 star.
