Searching for specialty places in the area, we found this gem of a wine and cheese shop! Sounded like just enough and it was fairly close to our hotel. The staff, both Christine and Andrew were helpful and very friendly. We got a card to use the wine dispensers and asked about some of the whites. Andrew suggested a Luca chardonnay that was so yummy we had a couple of glasses. We bought a cheese assortment and rustic crackers that went terrifically well with each other and the wine. By the time we left, Christine and Andrew had made us feel like we were having light refreshments in a friend's home. In fact, it's a small home decorated artistically in various rooms. There is ample parking in the back, as well as patio seating behind the home, and on a small front porch. I don't know of any place we've been to that is anything like it, but I sure wish there were, especially back at home in the Tampa Bay Area. What a fun concept!

Wendy's House Wine Shop & Cafe - Come try the new Caymus California. It's less expensive than the regular Caymus and just as delicious.

I've visited this location numerous times for Express Lane and in-store shopping…read more I love the Express Lane feature at Harris Teeter (as someone who spends hours looking for items in grocery stores) and it's relatively inexpensive at $4.95/order. They've gotten my order right every time and if an item is not available they will call me to let me know or substitute something reasonable at the same price. They also give you a call when your order is ready to be picked up and when you do go to the store, your order is out fast! As for the in-store shopping experience, I've never been a big fan of the Harris Teeter store layout as it's confusing and hard to find stuff at times (not as organized as other grocery stores like Publix). Also it is very difficult to track down items for promotions such as their Meal Deal. Especially so when people working at the store/managers don't know what the deal is or where the deal locations are located. I'll deduct one star for that. Other than that, I love using Harris Teeter as my grocery option in town! Hopefully they won't catch the fact that I'm 22 and still eating the free cookies at the door.
