    Dry burger

First off ignore any pictures of the menu prior to June 2026 since it's completely different now. Wanted a few items I saw on the old menu but they had none of those choices left. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was decent but not worthy of the five stars some post here. Wife got sliders that were ok, I had the burger. Very dry and bacon was as hard as a diamond. They can relax on the ton of IOA beers and offer a few more choices

Avocado fries with two dipping sauces

We were in town for a show at the Wilson Center, and decided to grab dinner somewhere walkable from the theater. Rumcow came up and we made early reservations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in the window. Nice to have a view, but the table was so tiny it was a little tight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are just ordering drinks, it's fine, but we were eating. Server was very kind and helpful. She made recommendations for drinks and told us the specials. Sweet tea was very tasty. We decided on an appetizer to share. The Avocado Fries were good, but bland. Avocado already has a mild taste, so this was different for me. The dipping sauce helped, but unfortunately the flavor was lacking. For entrees we had the cornbread with chicken sliders and the fried green tomatoes sliders. Everything was fried. The cornbread had chicken, fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese. Hubs said it was tasty, and fries were crispy. The fried green tomato sliders were ok. Kind of small. This was an entree but it was appetizer sized with a tiny bit of greens on top. Not much sauce, or anything fresh on sliders to cut through the fried taste. Tomatoes on a bun with a side of fries. And pricey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was on the fence with this review. There was some good (server, atmosphere) and some not so good( too small table, limited menu, small portions, high prices).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would like to see the dish I got redone with more greens and an aoli added to it. Would have been better. Bottom line, possibly would come back. Maybe I would try something else on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did like the vibe with the rustic cow theme. Cool downtown look too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd like to give it another chance another time.

Walking around Wilmington, I discovered this eclectic spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was modern rustic garden with cow photos. Sounds crazy but it works![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The favorite dish of the nice was the crispy pork belly tacos!!! The margarita was well balanced. The Brussels sprouts weren't as crispy as I prefer but the flavor was good. The staff seemed a bit green but did an amazing job as it was very busy with large parties.

REALLY good cocktails and great spot for either a dinner reservation or getting lucky and popping up at the bar. Split a few small plates and they were great. Seasonal holiday cocktails were the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was SUPER busy and packed - definitely a well loved spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First this isn't a dog in the servers, my bartender was new, but made good drinks. I ordered sesame crusted tuna, rice and asparagus, one of the most blandest tuna I have had...rice was old dry and if you can't make rice buy a rice cooker. Can't F up asparagus but this meal was terrible hands down if it wasn't for the servers this would be a 1 star!

    Char crusted tuna tataki

We had reservations for six at Rumcow on Saturday night. We arrived and were seated at the table immediately. Decor was nice. It looked like upscale farmhouse. The only thing about the aesthetic that I would change would be the chairs. They were uncomfortable to sit in for a long period of time. Unfortunately, I felt like they were not prepared for the night. They seemed very well staffed, but it took 15+ minutes to get drinks and our appetizers took 30+ minutes. Our server mentioned that the restaurant was booked out for reservations and that the bar got super overcrowded and that was why there was a delay on drinks. For an appetizer, my husband and I shared the char crusted tuna tataki. Tuna was very good! For my entree, I got the pulled pork sliders. The fries were also good, but the slider wasn't anything memorable. Our server was EXTREMELY nice, but we truly were disappointed with the wait times for everything. I don't think I'd come back here.

Absolutely, recommend this place. Food and staff are top shelf. This review makes me want to go down there right now for brunch.

Food good and service good, but a draft beer at this casual of a place should not cost $10!

By the bar is an indoor theater where we sat at and had our drinks for the pub crawl. The creepiest place in our pub crawl tour was at that theater area by The Rooftop Bar. We used a tiny elevator to go up to this bar. There are stairs to go up and down the floors to the bar if the elevator is too cramped or too long of a wait. The server at the bar was pretty and kind. I was in awe of the views behind the plexiglass and the sunset over the water in Wilmington and the USS Battleship North Carolina. This is a bar I would definitely go to again just to see the spectacular views.

The Rooftop bar is on the 5th story of the building it is in. There is an elevator, but if you are a glutton for punishment, you can take the stairs. The drinks are very reasonable. 3 beers cost me $10. Not a huge selection of draft beer, but many others in cans/bottles. Bartender was very good, friendly and efficient. The bar is in the middle, with seats all around. You can also take you drinks to seating outside with better views of the Cape Fear River. One section gives you a great view of the battleship across the river. There are criticism in other reviews about the views, which I get. The Southside views are mostly looking at the rooftops of other buildings, not that they can change that. There are other obstructions they can control if they wanted which would improve the viewing experience. The bar is very laid back, with a mixed crowd. Recommend.

What a fantastic evening at Dram Yard…read more We were a little concerned we might miss our 5:30 reservation after getting delayed by a seven-car accident on the bridge, but we arrived just a couple of minutes late and it wasn't an issue at all. From the moment we arrived, the experience was relaxed, welcoming, and exactly what we needed. We chose to sit in the beautiful courtyard, and with temperatures in the 70s, sunshine overhead, and a gentle breeze, it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. The outdoor gazebo bar creates a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and if the weather isn't cooperating, the indoor dining space is equally inviting. A special thank you to Sarah, whose service was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a peaceful and unhurried dining experience. For drinks, I ordered the Ghost Town, while my wife enjoyed the Venus Flytrap. Both were beautifully prepared and easy to see why they're among the restaurant's popular cocktails. The food was equally impressive. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was exceptional. The kitchen even accommodated my request for extra freshly cracked black pepper, which took an already excellent dish to another level. My wife ordered the Little Gem Salad with shrimp, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also shared the Tuna Tartare Tostada, which was outstanding--beautiful presentation, fresh tuna, and a great balance of textures and flavors. Adding to the experience was a bottle of Albariño that paired wonderfully with the meal. What stands out most about Dram Yard is its atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, and forget about the stresses of the day. Whether you're looking for a date night, an evening with friends, or simply a quiet place to relax, Dram Yard delivers. Excellent service, creative cocktails, outstanding food, and one of the most relaxing outdoor dining spaces in Wilmington. We'll definitely be back.

We each got a bowl of gazpacho, an appetizer size portion of two very small duck lumpia followed by tile fish with flat noodles and a savory broth. The course then was a shared short rib that was entirely fat/gross, one smal grilled onion and two tiny empanadas to share . Desert was a small scoop of ice cream and small crumble type cobbler to share. We in no way felt like it was $90, the portions were not enough to sustain us and we felt incredibly cheated and somehow conned/robbed of over $200 for each of us couples out. Very disappointing!
