The blind elephant was such a neat spot! Tucked away in an alley of downtown wilmington you walk in to such a well curated and eclectic speakeasy! The drinks are so unique and bartenders could easily accommodate other custom orders. The flavors were fresh and well balanced. The cocktails on tap were also exceptional! We will definitely be back.

One of my favorite cocktail bars in town. This speakeasy inspired bar in the alleyway is marked with the elephant sign so you know you're in the right place. Inside, you check into the "club" (they still require a membership fee) and then you're welcome in. They have 5 cocktails that rotate depending on the month, and their skilled bartenders write each one. I love their mules on tap - complete with housemade ginger beer! The ambiance is lovely. Thursday-Saturday has live piano - check their socials for times. They really do have some of the best cocktails in town. You get what you pay for in the best way! Only complaint is the way they've made it a "speakeasy themed" bar as opposed to a speakeasy with the way they've been lax on other elements that make them seem more commercial (merch). Otherwise, it's a great spot to be!

Definitely one of our favorite spots in Wilmington. Love the piano player. Bar staff are awesome. Just good vibes all around.

We spent the weekend in Wilmington and were looking for a spot for a nightcap. We were wandering along Front Street trying to find this place and luckily some locals pointed us down the correct alley. When we walked in they asked us if we were members, which we were not, but turns out the membership is only $5 for a whole year, so we went ahead and paid that and found a seat at the bar. The cocktails all had unique flavors with different spirits for everyone's tastes. You can tell they put the same amount of time in creating these cocktails as chefs would a signature dish. I wanted to try something a bit different than I would normally order since they offered such unique drinks. I ordered the Cabrini-Green, which was a mix of vodka, lillet blanc, matcha, and lavender bitters. I'm a sucker for lavender, so I loved this drink. I usually am not a huge fan of matcha, but it was just the right amount that it didn't taste grassy. It was a well balanced cocktail that I enjoyed sipping throughout the night. My boyfriend is more of a bourbon guy, so he ordered an equally delicious cocktail. I loved the speakeasy vibe of this place and it was nice to be able to hold a conversation in a bar instead of having to yell over music. This place is definitely on the pricier side for the area, but it's worth it for the level of mixology going on. If you're in Wilmington and looking for a great cocktail, check this place out!

This place was awesome. I actually stopped in twice in one night while visiting Wilmington. The bartenders are great and the cocktails are even better. I tried one of the house cocktails first and then requested my favorite drink, The Old Cuban. The bartenders did not know the drink, but quickly looked it up and nailed it on the first try. It gets super busy on weekend nights, so stop by early if you're not into crowds.

Went here for a whiskey tasting and loved the speakeasy vibe from the entrance in an alley to the dark interior to the photos of infamous gangsters hung throughout like family portraits. Everything on their menu is made in-house so the level of mixology here is high. Loved the experience and plan to return on my next visit to try out some of their signature drinks.

4 stars because of the $5 "membership" fee required to enter. That is silly and unnecessary, especially for a spot I will only go once - I don't want to be a member! But, it an intimate spot to enjoy a coctail or two. Dark and small inside and I'd assume it gets cramped on a Friday or Saturday but we enjoyed the dark, private vibe of this place.

The best speakeasy in town. Perfect for a date or night out with friends. The bartenders and staff are excellent. The drinks are exceptional. I consider all of their events, from Gatsby Anniversary Parties, to the Kentucky Derby don't miss events.

Location and interior atmosphere charming. Service, lacking. Bartender had no possibility, no smile nor welcoming.

Great atmosphere if a bit pricey. But the drinks are good and the service was great. Good for a date or with a group. Seating is private.

Their requirement for wanting to know my personal medical information is a violation of HIPPA. I will not return to this place ever again.

By the bar is an indoor theater where we sat at and had our drinks for the pub crawl. The creepiest place in our pub crawl tour was at that theater area by The Rooftop Bar. We used a tiny elevator to go up to this bar. There are stairs to go up and down the floors to the bar if the elevator is too cramped or too long of a wait. The server at the bar was pretty and kind. I was in awe of the views behind the plexiglass and the sunset over the water in Wilmington and the USS Battleship North Carolina. This is a bar I would definitely go to again just to see the spectacular views.

The Rooftop bar is on the 5th story of the building it is in. There is an elevator, but if you are a glutton for punishment, you can take the stairs. The drinks are very reasonable. 3 beers cost me $10. Not a huge selection of draft beer, but many others in cans/bottles. Bartender was very good, friendly and efficient. The bar is in the middle, with seats all around. You can also take you drinks to seating outside with better views of the Cape Fear River. One section gives you a great view of the battleship across the river. There are criticism in other reviews about the views, which I get. The Southside views are mostly looking at the rooftops of other buildings, not that they can change that. There are other obstructions they can control if they wanted which would improve the viewing experience. The bar is very laid back, with a mixed crowd. Recommend.

What a fantastic evening at Dram Yard…read more We were a little concerned we might miss our 5:30 reservation after getting delayed by a seven-car accident on the bridge, but we arrived just a couple of minutes late and it wasn't an issue at all. From the moment we arrived, the experience was relaxed, welcoming, and exactly what we needed. We chose to sit in the beautiful courtyard, and with temperatures in the 70s, sunshine overhead, and a gentle breeze, it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. The outdoor gazebo bar creates a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and if the weather isn't cooperating, the indoor dining space is equally inviting. A special thank you to Sarah, whose service was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a peaceful and unhurried dining experience. For drinks, I ordered the Ghost Town, while my wife enjoyed the Venus Flytrap. Both were beautifully prepared and easy to see why they're among the restaurant's popular cocktails. The food was equally impressive. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was exceptional. The kitchen even accommodated my request for extra freshly cracked black pepper, which took an already excellent dish to another level. My wife ordered the Little Gem Salad with shrimp, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also shared the Tuna Tartare Tostada, which was outstanding--beautiful presentation, fresh tuna, and a great balance of textures and flavors. Adding to the experience was a bottle of Albariño that paired wonderfully with the meal. What stands out most about Dram Yard is its atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, and forget about the stresses of the day. Whether you're looking for a date night, an evening with friends, or simply a quiet place to relax, Dram Yard delivers. Excellent service, creative cocktails, outstanding food, and one of the most relaxing outdoor dining spaces in Wilmington. We'll definitely be back.

We each got a bowl of gazpacho, an appetizer size portion of two very small duck lumpia followed by tile fish with flat noodles and a savory broth. The course then was a shared short rib that was entirely fat/gross, one smal grilled onion and two tiny empanadas to share . Desert was a small scoop of ice cream and small crumble type cobbler to share. We in no way felt like it was $90, the portions were not enough to sustain us and we felt incredibly cheated and somehow conned/robbed of over $200 for each of us couples out. Very disappointing!
