Was charged full price for 5 toppings and they decided to make the Margarita with Feta and left off the Basil and Sausage. Teenage girl had no clue how to fix it or refund the extra charges so they made a poor excuse for a small Margarita for free. Meanwhile my large Pizza and Mozzarella sticks sat cold. Teenage girls then decided mid conversation about how to fix the issue to start goofing around with teenage delivery drivers. Both Pizza were the absolute worst excuse for food I've ever paid for. I've been to Italy and this isn't remotely close to real Italian pizza. The sauce lacks flavor and the sausage is so thin as the customer you're being robbed as to what you pay VS what you get. I recommend you continue to eat pizza as I will to find the best. But this isn't it!!! read more

Before new ownership took over this was the best pizza in town. We had been going here for our pizza regularly for the last 6 six years. Once the last of the previous owners left the quality went down quickly. After 3 consecutive times of get bad quality and incorrect orders we left. Since the wait time for the food was 30 to 40 minutes, we called in our order ahead of time before arriving to eat dine-in. It was a little confusing for the waitress when we arrived, but we got it all figured out. This new location of Antonio's is located next door to Eggs Up Grill and right by Harris Teeter. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, but it's not a big restaurant. It got pretty busy while we were there in person and their phone was always ringing. There were only two open tables left between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. We ordered a calzone with meatball and pepperoni, stromboli with meatballs, pizza roll with sausage and green bell peppers, and chocolate cake. Each of them came with their own marinara sauce. I liked the calzone the best-the ricotta cheese made it taste better, whereas the stromboli and pizza roll were just cheese with the meat and vegetables. I would have enjoyed the stromboli and pizza roll better if the edges and the top of the dough were more crusty. The large size of the stromboli was huge, could feed 2 people. The chocolate cake was good, very moist and soft. The one thing I didn't like is that there were too many fudge layers. I wanted more of the cake itself. If you don't mind a long wait, it probably would be better to just call to order pickup instead of dine-in. read more

My first trip here was great. The manicotti was delicious, the angel hair with marinara was a little underseasoned but that was fine and an easy fix. Since that first time the food has been average at best. I'm really annoyed with my most recent trip. I ordered the angel hair with marinara again. The sauce was extremely bitter but I can deal with it but for some reason my noodles were all chopped up in to tiny pieces. While I was eating I felt like a child scooping up my tiny noodle pieces. We usually don't encounter any issues during our lunch breaks, but today, it took at least 30 minutes just to get an appetizer. Since we had to return to work, we opted for to-go entrees. Notably, we didn't receive an apology for the extended wait time. Additionally, my salad, which was my entree, didn't come with any dressing. After we left, my coworkers stayed behind to finish their meals and when they paid, she asked politely what a surcharge was and the waiter gave her an attitude saying "I have nothing to do with it and do not get loud with me". There was no reason for her to respond that way to my coworkers. The manager approached them and said that she was having a hard time. I would recommend the calamari, fried zucchini, lasagna, cannolis and cheesecake. I'm glad I was able to get a lunch portion at dinner time because the dinner portion was way too large for me to eat by myself in one sitting. We stood there for 10 min then finally we asked someone to sit us. Then it took 15 min to get our drinks. So we got the artichoke appetizer which was basically some canned artichoke with a piece of cheese and some kind of sauce made to be thick with cornstarch disgusting is an understatement. Then we ordered chicken Marco which was supposed to have a sherry wine sauce but it was the same sauce as the appetizer over thin spaghetti it wasn't even edible.. cornstarch city sauce.The pasta and chicken was swimming in this disgusting sauce. Ok who ever the cook is notice I didn't say chef because no way is anyone in that kitchen a chef. Zero talent with no skills. I worked in the restaurant business for 18 years in New York. When I entered on a Friday at lunch I expected a large crowd due to all the cars in the lot, but to my surprise There were two people sitting at the bar and one table with six people and another with just two. I sat at the bar and was waiting about 15 minutes. When the couple sitting next to me mentioned that they had been waiting for thirty minutes just to get a to go box, and the six people at the table had been waiting over an hour and they still had no food. I looked all over for someone to bring us a menu. Or a couple of drinks anything, but no one was around. I waited another 10 minutes and while I was waiting, the couple at the bar got up and got their own to go boxes. No one else had been served and there were no white staff in sight, so I left. The food was decent. We had pizza, zucchini sticks, and chips. Using the ordering system I added ranch and marinara. Outstanding! I haven't had a meal this delicious since moving back to Wilmington a year ago. My husband treated me. We sat at the bar (fresh sunflowers) and Jessica provided excellent service. The fried zucchini was the perfect size and breading, & so much for the price! The side salad was a good portion with fresh greens, plenty of toppings & in-house dressing. The chicken parm was delicious, served piping hot (so much food). I haven't had sauce this good in a long time. And the cheesecake was . Went on a Friday night and had about a 20 minute wait (expected) everything started out fine, our orders were taken and drinks were served. We then waited approximately 20 minutes for our order (they were busy) but they were not bought by our server. Another person said she just delivered orders. A orange drink and a side salad was ordered and never arrived. Chicken Parmesan was one order- the chicken was tough and the Marina on the pasta was watery. Eggplant Parmesan was ok- the eggplant was good but again the sauce was watery. Our server nor anyone else ever checked to see how our food was or if we needed anything. About five minutes after we finished eating our server showed up and asked if we needed a box with our check. Will try other Italian/pizza restaurants! read more

We enjoyed sitting outside at 7:30 at night as all tables were full inside. Service was a little slow as they seemed to be short on wait staff, but our waitress was very good when she helped us. We got appetizers of the baked artichokes & pizza sticks; the artichokes come in a baking dish & no bread to put them on but they were good & the pizza sticks are pizza dough with cheese on a small round pizza pan cut into strips & Marina to dip them in; the kids enjoyed them & the marinara was delicious. First time there with my grand daughter. She adored the fried calamari. I had the bruschetta with cheese which was nice..... and plated well. BUT the lasagna was terrible, and I love lasagna! The meat used seemed "industrial" to me. I personally didn't like their marinara... just me.... a bit too spicy for me and very sweet. The entire dish was bad.
