1st time we have ever had it delivered and it was the worst delivery experience we've ever had. We had trouble with the online order at 5 so we called and the man said he received it and would arrive in 45 minutes, at 6:10 we called and the woman said they never received it so we reordered and said it would arrive within an hour. We called again at 7:30 and they said the driver would be there any minute. We called again at 8 and they said the driver had 5 delivery's before us. At 8:23 the driver finally arrived with cold pizza. I would have gone and picked it up if they said delivery would be an issue. After several nights of eating down at sit down restaurants in Wilmington, we wanted something low key, so decided to grab some pizza from Brooklyn Pizza Company. They also have a location near UNC Wilmington, but visited this strip mall location on Market Street since it was closer to us and reviews seemed comparable. There are several tables inside for dining in, but it's mainly a take out/delivery type of place as the set up is very utilitarian and functional without much atmosphere. That being said, the service at the counter when ordering and also when receiving food at the table was kind and friendly. We went with an order of garlic cheese bread and a large 18 inch cheese pizza. I have no basis of comparison with regards to quality or price compared to other places in the Wilmington area, but $24 for a simple pizza without toppings seemed a bit expensive. Both items were decent, but wouldn't compete with the quality of pizza ingredients I'm used to in the NJ/NY/PA area. The pizza was cooked well with a great undercarriage, albeit a bit oily, but the cheese, sauce, and crust didn't compare to the great pizza I'm spoiled with back home. That said, nothing was particularly bad, so grading on a regional curve, I'd rate Brooklyn Pizza Company a 3.5/5, which I'm happy to round up since all the employees were friendly, and it was a decent dinner overall. read more

my husband and I went to Brooklyn Pizza and he ordered a chicken Parm hero and I ordered a spinach roll... We are foodies, really big on presentation and really big on flavor.. we were very disappointed with our order, especially how skimpy the chicken Parm was, and there was no taste like very bland, and my husband had to drown it in garlic powder and salt and basil in order to even enjoy it being that we spent our money.. my spinach roll was terrible. I'm not even gonna go into anything further with it , it was like drinking a cup of water with bread and honestly, we don't even do reviews. Pros and cons! Con: You pay in advance. If you want additional items you have to pay again and again. Weird. Normally you pay at the end so you tally up everything. Tip in advance. All I did was order. I have had no service so how do I know if I am going to tip and how much? Tips are "earned". All they did was walk out two pies. No follow ups, hows it going, want anything else, etc... Glad I chose a low tip value. Pros: I have had pizza in 46 states. NY pizza is The Best. Being from NYC myself I know "Brooklyn" pizza. This pizza did the name justice. Rating method: Service I would give 3 star and food 5 star, so I averaged at 4 star. I read the reviews and decided this would be a great place for lunch. Unfortunately, I personally did not think this pizza was good. I had it delivered, and when it got to me it wasn't even warm and truthfully I don't think the pepperoni was even cooked. The garlic knots were good, but again not even warm. Just room temperature. I paid $27 for two pieces of pizza, garlic knots and garlic bread. Which, I wouldn't have minded the price especially for delivery but again, wasn't even warm and I'm questioning even if the toppings were cooked with it. Both went into the garbage. I called before closing so I wouldn't be a bother during their busy time & was told I would receive a credit for my order. This place is always great. If you're looking for a New York pie or slice, go here. Don't skip out on the salads. The service is very friendly and the restaurant and kitchen seem to be spotlessly clean. There is someone for every job there and when I was watching, they all did their jobs well and with pride. The staff members were clean and not grungy looking like I've seen in many other places where people just don't seem to care anymore. This is not that kind of place. You can tell they definitely care about cleanliness and service and quality of food. They have the coolest murals on the walls. The seating area is not really that big, but they have some tables and some seats at the counter, where you can watch the magic happen. I recommend eating it there for the absolute most optimal quality but take away is good too. You can sit outside when it's warm so I imagine having your dog with you wouldn't be a big deal. read more

The Brooklyn Pizza company was an amazing find in Wilmington. I only discovered it due to a social media story about a second location opening. My wife and I decided to try it and were not disappointed. The friendliness and helpfulness of the employees were surprising and welcomed. As my wife is temporarily on crutches. I dropped her off at the curb so I could go park. When she started towards the restaurant, one of the employees ran from behind the counter and got the door for her. I thought this was a very nice thing to do. The person attending the counter took the time to explain the menu and the already-made options that were in the case. After we ordered, we were told to sit down and that they would bring us our meal. They brought our meal and asked if we wanted any additional toppings such as oregano or grated Parmesan. After we had mentioned that we would like those toppings, he told us to remain seated and went and brought it to us and asked if there was anything else he could do for us. The service was amazing for this type of restaurant. As for the food, it was great! The pizza crust was thin and chewy. Just like a good slice of New York pizza should be. The star of the meal though was the dish they call "grandma Sicilian slice". This was full of flavor and the toppings were well-balanced. This is one of the best pizza places in town but their mobile/ordering site is garbage!!! I have tried to order with so many problems that they have lost a loyal customer for life. It used to be simple but there are so many technical glitches, ordering is a nightmare. I tried to redeem my free garlic knots (just had to spend $15). My order was $20 but it would let me redeem the knots because "conditions not met" !? That's just one of many. Fix your ordering problems or you will continue to lose customers. read more

We order here often, the delivery is pretty quick if you live in ogden, (30mins on weeknights, 40-60mins friday-sunday nights) And not like most pizzeria here this place is actually open past 9pm ... not sure what. these other places are thinking closing @ 8-9pm on the weekend, they just dont get it. quality of the food: I'd like to compare them to my favorite Chinese take out place "the paper crane". They are reliable, fast, and always satisfy the craving. Pizzas: I like plain cheese pizza lightly well done, and they do it 9/10 perfectly.. As for topping they can kind of over do it, but thats easily fixable by pulling them off. Pastas: Have not been disappointed on a single one of their pasta dishes, comes with bread as well.. Apps: Id give the Apps a 3/5 stars, they can be inconstant when it comes to their apps but overall pretty good. First and last for me. Coworker and myself visited for dinner and "ate in". Ordered calzone with pepperoni, mushrooms and sausage. When delivered to table I was pleasantly surprised at the size and golden color of the baked calzone. It really looked fantastic! When I cut into it, I was disappointed in the "toppings". The cheese was plentiful (if anything, maybe too much). The sausage was "sliced" as opposed to "crumbled" which I much prefer. The mushrooms had to come from a can as they were no bigger than 1/2 in max. (Reminded me of button/sliced mushrooms in a small can from grocery store. (Much prefer fresh larger mushrooms). I didn't see any pepperoni until I was about 75% through and found a clump of about 6-7 pieces lumped and stuck together and that was about all the pepperoni in the entire calzone. Yes, this is a critical review but 100% honest. I'm guessing what I had may not be what the place is known for because the delivery business out of this place was incredibly busy. As stated at the beginning, first and last visit. Bottom line.... Atmosphere... Man oh man... see, when it comes time to order food from somewhere I always try to stick with local businesses. I've used Brooklyn for years as our go-to pizza caterer at the office, but also tonight when my spouse hit me with "pizza would be good for dinner". The audacity of even thinking of big pizza chains over Brooklyn should be a sin. Ordering on their own platform was a breeze. Delivery was for about an hour despite us being right down the road, but that was okay. It was delivered in about 50 mins! The guys that run this shop are always incredible, super polite and thankful for your support of their business. It's great. Okay okay, now onto the food: I created my own stromboli which was packed full of the toppings I chose including some meats and veggies. Great cheese ratio and not too greasy. The marinara is *chefs kiss* as always. Then, I wanted something else so I clicked on chicken wings. To my surprise, "Jack Daniels" was an option for sauce. If you've never had JD wings, you're missing out. Talk about nostalgia for me as my dad and I always used to get these when I was growing up. Massive wings came, so so crunchy, and cooked perfectly. It doesn't turn gel-like similar to some pizzas that use low-quality cheese. The sauce isn't overly sweet and pairs well with the overall taste. It's a lighter, more thin pie, so it doesn't leave you feeling sluggish when you're done. They're big slices. The negatives: This may just be personal preference, but the crust is too airy. It's crisp on the outside, but seems like it lacks a bit of density or doughiness on the inside.
