The food truck was at END OF DAYS Distillery and we ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Only downside Igor sick as a dog, I am thinking they have Whey Protein in their dough, but it was worth it (almost lol) it really is good, you figure with up to 40% of the population not being able to process whey, you would just use plain flour, instead of losing 40% of your paying customers. Again it is delicious! Check it out read more

Pizza is good but... Staff is inept. Placed order at 8:07 and was on hold for 5 minutes and was told would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later and was told it would be 7-15 minutes. Very dismissive staff. I can get good pizza at multiple places but good service makes the experience better. A manager needs to get the staff in line. Maybe business is so good they don't care. ‍ A $25 pizza should come with better service. Service used to be better. read more

I ordered delivery from Wheelz last night and it was so good. When my order was on its way they sent a link out to track the driver. This was helpful since I'm staying at a motel so I knew exactly when to go downstairs to get the food. I really enjoyed the pizza, cheesy bread and cookies! Will definitely order again next time I am at the beach. read more

I come from a state that's notorious for pizza. This must be one of my favorite pies by far. It was so fresh and so cheesy. It was warm and it took a few minutes to get to. It was really cheap. There was also a drive through. Definitely worth your money! read more

Had a pepperoni pie delivered to our hotel. The delivery was odd but the pizza was very good, and I am from New York so we know good pizza. The delivery was odd because it was just left at the door outside . No text or call for a heads up . Other than that the texture was great, light crispy either way fresh ingredients. read more

Sour dough crust is very good. I like the way they char the pepperoni. It is an easy take out to order and pick up. Ambiance inside not really conducive to a sit and eat but it is tolerable. read more

I was at Leland Brewery today and Wheelz Pizza food truck was there. To begin with I was very hesitant ordering a pizza from a food truck, how good could it be, right? I was pleasantly surprised it was possibly the best pizza I have had in a very long time! I'm in love with the crispy sourdough crust and the organic vegetables mixed with the correct amount of cheeses. I had to know more about this company and immediately researched them online. To my surprise they have a brick and mortar store here in Leland! I've been living here for 3 years and never heard anything about them. My only suggestion is you should advertise more, because you have a quality product! read more

Just discovered Wheelz on my last visit to Wrightsville beach and was very impressed. Great menu, food ready on time, and quality of the pizza is outstanding. Fresh, delicious dough with fresh toppings. They've got standard stuff and some more original pizzas as well. Will be back for more. read more

Was so yummy! I love the taste of the dough and the pizza itself is always good. I loved wheels when I lwill get it every time I come back to visit the area. read more

What would have been 5 stars because of the quality of the ingredients and the pizza is a 4 star due to customer service. When I placed the order, the app let me know it was outside of the "normal" delivery zone but asked if I wanted to pay an extra $4 to have it delivered. Since I had heard such great things about this pizza, I thought it was worth the extra delivery cost. The order and tracking process was very good (provided tracking of the driver, etc) but when the delivery arrived the driver was agitated and said "just so you know this is way outside of the delivery zone. I chose to bring it to you since you had already ordered it but next time you need to pick it up." And he turned and walked away without even a thank you for his tip, etc. Here's the deal....don't accept an order, charge an extra fee, and then make the customer feel they are at fault. It's too bad because the pizza is really good! read more

We ordered Wheelz Pizza a few times while living in Carolina Beach for 9 months. The taste on the pizza is phenomenal and their service is quick. My only quarrel with their pizza lies in the fact that they tend to hold back on the amount of sauce and cheese from time to time so if you're not getting a pizza loaded with toppings, it can feel kind of bland. If you're going for a cheese or a pepperoni pizza, request extra sauce and cheese (for sure). read more

Surprisingly very good! We had a personal pepperoni pizza and a personal sausage. Pizza had a basil flavor that we thoroughly enjoyed. We picked it up and it was very hot when we got back to our Airbnb. We highly recommend this pizza! read more

Dear Wheelz Owners - You have great tasting pizza, but you can't run a business. You chronically understaff. Your ordering/fulfillment process is terrible. Your front of house service and appearance is embarrassing. I cringed last week watching how many mistakes are made in the short time I spent there. Every person in front of me, then mine, then behind me, their order was messed up somehow. If you don't know how to fix the issues, don't be cheap and hire someone that can! read more

My daughter wanted Wheelz delivered for 17th birthday party. It arrived perfectly done. There is something so perfect about this pizza. The crust is magical! We ordered a supreme and a 3 cheese. This time we also ordered the chocolate chip cookies and they said they were "bussin". I am pretty sure that means delicious. lol. read more

The pizza is damn good. Maybe the best in the city. I have eaten from their food truck once, and ordered for delivery twice. They make it easy to order online. Website is easy to use. You can even leave the tip when ordering online. It took about an hour to get my pizzas delivered, but both times it was piping hot. They even include a plastic mesh at the bottom of the pizza box to keep it from getting soggy. Nice touch. Highly recommend Wheelz. read more

I've been waiting one hour and still no pizza. Didn't even offer a refund or discount. Horrible service! Not worth your time read more

It was good pizza. A little doughy to me but generally well received by the family and friends who ate it. There was pepperoni and plain. It was not "to die for" sliced pizza but it was decent. I can't give you a rating on service because I only dealt with putting in a pick up order. Not location and its vibe because we are back at a house. Would I eat it again? Sue. But it's not the first on my list tbh. read more

Tried this new food truck at Sour Barn. Wheelz Pizza publicizes using organic and fresh ingredients as well as New York/Neapolitan style thin crust pizza. It looks like you can order pizza on their website or through their app and pick up the pizza at their store location. They offered four types of pizza: classic cheese, Margherita, sausage, and cheese. There are two sizes available, either half ($6.50-$7.50) or a large 14-inch size ($12-$14). The half size comes with 4 slices and comfortably satisfies a petite size person if you're not that hungry. If you are feeling hungry, then get 1-2 large size pies. They also offer a homemade chocolate chip cookie for $1.50. We tried the Margherita pizza. What they got right was the thin crust. It was perfectly crispy, soft, chewy and lightly charred. They serve the pizzas on this type of plastic mesh which circulates the air and prevents the crust becoming soggy. What my party and I did not like was the lack of tomato sauce and cheese. Understandably it is hard to get the right ratio of tomato sauce to crust and still produce a crispy crust. In this case, they were erring on the wrong side of too little sauce. It was like a sprinkle of tomato sauce on the pizza. The taste of the tomato sauce was okay, more on the acidic side, not sweet. The mozzarella slices were way too thin-it was like a tease. My stomach was begging for more cheese and sauce. I did like the slivers of fresh basil on top of the pizza though. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. In terms of food trucks, I would rather eat Wilmy Woody's for a much more satisfying pizza meal. read more

Wow! I have not left a review for Wheelz Pizza yet?!?!? I am now bc it is very deserving and I believe Wheelz is the best delivery option for my home. FOOD: Standard cheese and chicken, bacon, ranch pizzas. Beginning with the cheese pizza, this is the one I typically pull the trigger on each and every time. The blends of the four cheeses, the pleasant sauce (not too tangy; not too sweet) and that nice char on the dough is great. I love the size of each slice and the thickness of the dough. This cheese pizza ranks in my top 5 in Wilmington. The chicken, bacon ranch pizza was a nice surprise compared to my #1 of these in town. Although I prefer smaller bits of chicken spread evenly throughout compared to Wheelz's larger, freshly prepared chicken chunks, their bacon comes through. This pie has nice balance and is a great option to enjoy when you want a "very good" pizza. Our fam enjoyed both and even they say Wheelz is our best delivery option. SCORE: 4.5 STARS!! SERVICE: Download the Wheelz Pizza app, place your order at your closest location and use your digital wallet to complete your order within minutes. No headaches, no phone call, very low and reasonable delivery fee and you go directly to the source. The estimated wait time was 45 mins and it arrived at our door in just 40 mins. The delivery driver was pleasant, masked and kept distance as they sat the pizzas down. SCORE: 5 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: Not my number one choice when I want my favorite pies in the city but they're consistently great and when I think delivery at home...I think Wheelz! 4.7 STARS!! read more

Wheelz Pizza, Thank you for making our pre-wedding welcome reception a great success! Having your food truck on site was a great way to feed 90+people. Everyone was raving about the pizzas! Amazing pizza and sandwiches... plus the staff is super nice. We were visiting Wilmington from Virginia and my only complaint is that this restaurant is 5 1/2 hours from my house. Very reasonably priced and the value is beyond what you will pay. Sauce is delicious, perfect bake on the pizza and the premises were inviting. I've never been to a pizzeria where there is a legit baker on site making dough and bread fresh, this place does that. Definitely recommend One suggestion to the owner/manager; you should charge more, I'd definitely pay more ;-) read more

Wheelz Pizza is the best you can find in Wilmington. Unfortunately, their management is no where near the quality of their pizza. All summer they have been posting locations for their food trucks that are inaccurate. 3 times I have driven across town to the location listed on their website only to find no one there. When you call the store they just say "the website us not up to date". Pretty crappy management. The staff in the trucks are great and friendly. Ownership apparently is lame. read more

Service and pizza was great. Location was surprisingly not busy at all but it was before the main season. I will be back for sure next time i am town. I thought the prices were reasonable and the pizza was good quality. And yes, it is all about that sour dough crust! Yum. Our friends went out for pizza at Mellow Mushroom and I bet paid twice what we did for only decent pizza. This stuff was great. See you next time we come to Wrightsville. read more

We ordered 2 different pizzas. They were both very good. The sausage pizza was great. I cannot speak to service as we used postmates. I am from chicago and thin crust is my favorite. I had ordered a pizza on line from their Greenville Loop location. I didn't go through so I called the 17th street location and spoke to Brian(I believe) and he said the had a large party that they were serving then so that is why. He was very apologetic and I said I would reorder the next day. I tried to do so a couple of times and it didn't work. So I called Brian at the 17th street location. He said they have been having internet and technology problems....(who isn't in these crazy times)!!! He assured me if I tried again he would be sure the delivery order went through!!.... we all need to cut each other some slack right now.... and he personally took the initiative to be sure I would receive my pizza. In addition a beautiful loaf of their warm sour dough bread!!! Ladies and gentlemen..... this is how you run a successful business!!!! Joanne Bryant read more
