Staying at the Cove nearby and wanted delivery as it's a long walk to the car from the boat. Called and was originally told they could deliver, then they couldn't. By the time we got the pizza, parked and walked to our houseboat it was cold. Not their fault but really wish they could have delivered .6 miles to us. Must be the happening spot for a Mondays evening. Pizza was decent. Light and not too heavy. A little conservative on the toppings but overall a decent pizza. Wings were large in size and tasty! Like other reviews, the ranch is ABSOLUTELY phenomenal!!!

I didn't quite realize that this is a takeout place. It is past the main stretch of businesses here, to the point where you feel like you've gone too far, where the roads dead end. At least it is not hard to find parking. There are a handful of picnic tables, and while most other customers seemed to be taking their pizza to go, staying and eating is really the best option, because this is the kind of pizza you want to enjoy fresh. It is a light crust that browns beautifully, and one pizza is suitable for a hungry person. In addition to the shredded basil and scattered cheese of a margherita, I added some jalapenos, which turned out to be a great decision as those things were on fire. I wasn't sure I would finish the whole thing in one sitting, but the freshness of the flavor was already starting to decline so I downed it. I would also note that while pizza is one of the relatively finite non-vegan things I eat, this place had several vegan specialty pizzas. If I were going to take a chance on any non-dairy pizza, this would be a good place to do it I think.

Alex the owner is one of the nicest, open, and accommodating owners I've ever met, and that rubs off on every single employee. Now let's get to the hot honey pizza...do yourself a favor, order it and you'll never have a better pie. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Lucky for us we just moved around the corner and will be frequent regulars!

This is my new favorite pizza place in town. Pickle pizza?!??! Yes!!!!! So delicious! The owner and staff were all so attentive and nice. My first but definitely not my last time there.

PIZZERIA DON LUCA Hands down, best pizza in the ILM. Lived here my whole life and they definitely hold that title, and I don't even really care for pizza. The crust had the most insane crunch without being a piece of coal. THE RANCH The wings were also equally insanely good. Not battered, crispy skin, delicioussss sauces- all homemade. What stood out just as much as the food, were the staff. These guys were so nice and showed so much genuine care about the establishment they work for. Can't wait to go back and support this awesome place. They not only know how to do good food, but they know how to do good business

The building is old and repurposed from the previous establishment. The inside is a stucco style interior with an "Italian" vibe. We were greeted at the door and promptly seated. They did ask if we had reservations which we did not. After being seated we noticed most of the tables were reserved. Note for future outings here. Our server, Marie, was great. We ordered calamari and waters. They do have a nice wine list, beer, and cocktails for those partaking. She returned shortly with our waters and a few minutes later our bread and calamari. The complimentary bread and the calamari were both good. When she dropped off the beverages and appetizer, she took our dinner orders. We ordered the Chicken Francaise, Zuppa di Pesce, and Pollo Parmigiana. While we were waiting for our food, the servers sang happy birthday to someone. It's nice to see restaurants still doing this. Once our food arrived, we were definitely ready to enjoy. Enjoy we did. We all sampled each others plates and we all agreed the dishes were well prepared and tasted great. I'm sure someone will look at the spaghetti with the Pollo Parmigiana and criticize. I will say, the spaghetti and sauce complimented the meal because the chicken was cooked and seasoned just right. A good balance for my liking. We will continue to dine here. Recommend you give it a try. Our server Marie was great! Always seemed to have a smile. Special notes: if you're dining in the evening make reservations. For lunch, I think you're ok without reservations. There's also plenty of parking.

While our first two experiences left us wondering what all the fuss was about, this latest dinner proved that sometimes good things really do come to those who wait (and keep making reservations). Our party of four settled in with high hopes and rumbling stomachs. Three of us couldn't resist the siren call of the crab cakes, while our fourth companion went rogue with the shrimp and grits. The crab cakes delivered everything you want from this coastal classic--generously packed with sweet crab meat and impossibly light, paired with creamy mashed potatoes that provided the perfect canvas. The shrimp and grits, while delicious, couldn't quite dethrone our reigning champion (Cape Fear Seafood still holds that crown), but they put up an admirable fight. The real showstoppers, however, were the appetizers. My half-dozen Sneads Ferry oysters arrived like little ocean jewels--impeccably fresh, properly briny, with just enough natural sweetness to make you close your eyes and sigh. The mussels swam in a sauce so good I considered asking for a straw, and the calamari managed that rare feat of being both smoky and completely free of any "low tide" funk that plagues lesser versions. Our Sauvignon Blanc proved the ideal supporting actor, crisp and bright enough to complement without competing. The service struck that sweet spot between professional and personable--attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The atmosphere isn't quite my cup of tea, but word on the street is they're relocating, so here's hoping the new digs will match the elevated kitchen performance. Sometimes the third time really is the charm. Catch has finally caught up to its reputation.

We had a large group and the server was very attentive to us. My soda cup was super super dirty which was gross. We ordered the Brussels and shrimp for the appetizer and those were PHENOMENAL. Shrimp were so flavorful and the Brussels were some of the best I've had. I got the swordfish as my main and it really wasn't hot. Kind of warm but not really as hot as it should have been. I thought the flavor was good but the portion was a little disappointing for the price. We got some coconut cake for dessert which was super tasty and moist. Mixed feelings but I'd give them another shot!

Once entering I had to wait to be seated as the hostess was overwhelmed with the couple before me. She was very nice once it came my turn. I opted to sit on the patio since it was a beautiful evening. The bar seemed crowded with what appeared to be locals. There were only a few of us on the patio but it filled up as I was leaving after a delightful meal. Love the mix of old seaside decor and the memorabilia. This place has history. Now for the food. I had to have the She crab soup as that is one of the things the place is known for. It was tasty. Not a lot of experience with this style soup but I enjoyed it almost as much as I would have a nice bisque. The side salad was a bit small but typical mix and the blue cheese was good but needed more of it. (More on that later) I opted for water tonight as I was trying to behave but they do have a full bar and a good wine list. The waitress was very knowledgeable and when I told her I was going to try one of the fresh catches Carolina style she recommended the Drum. It was very tasty. I would have loved to have more of the Carolina topping to sop up with the nice biscuits they brought out. The Mac and Cheese was also tasty. The vegetable tonight was green beans so that didn't sound very exciting so opted for the Mac. Probably not the healthiest choice but was tastier in my humble opinion. Great experience food wise and my poor server needs a medal or something. She was attempting to cover the bar area and the patio by herself. She was literally running trying to make it all work. She was great but it does appear they need to hire a few more folks to help.
