My daughter picked this up for me and I chose xtra hot. It was so good and definitely spicy! I can't imagine what the highest level would taste like. My lips were on fire from the seasoning lol but def would get it again.

Dave's Hot Chicken was really really good . I had the number 4 . Next time I want to try the nuggets . The workers were extremely nice and helpful . The orders came out all correct . I feel like this is more to my taste than Raising Canes .

Order taken by a very nice employee. But it took 30 min and was cold when we got it. NOT BUSY here.

Our order was taken just beside 3:40. Waited 30 min (with no orders in front of us) while 4 employees exited the establishment. Food was cold. Fries were cold. Chicken was room temperature. All three of the tenders were room temperature, fries cold. Boxes were completely covered in sauce. What a joke. It's obvious someone is dropping food in a deep fryer and then disappearing then coming back and letting it set there. Apparently your cook was concerned with going home early since it's New Year's Eve. I gave you one star because the girl who took our order was nice. Makayla R. I don't know what is going on over here but $45 for two people to eat fast food that is cold and takes 30 min in a basically empty business is an absolute joke. First and last time here.

1) these expensive combos out included drink. 2) to you're in the south it's not that hard to make real tea especially if you're gonna charge $3-4 dollars for a drink 3) I've been to some places that ask you to tip, but it's because they at least come out and see if you need anything, or they would at least bring the food to you, hear your requesting a tip then you yell my number from the counter for me to go get my food after I've made my drink Pluses are the food is good and the portion sizes are decent.

Not a fan of fried chicken myself but my son had been here before and loved it so was eager to go back when we were in town. The restaurant was large and open, kind of noisy as everything echoed. Not busy at all when we arrived but floors and tables were dirty. Son and husband both ordered a slider/tenders/fries combo. It was an impressive meal in size -- the "slider" was about the size of a chick-fil-a sandwich. Also impressed that my super picky kid will actually eat the kale slaw that comes on the sandwiches. He ordered mild for his chicken and husband ordered the heat just below reaper. They were both happy with their choices. I ordered fries which were perfectly crispy. Towards the end of our meal someone did come to wipe our table. Good quality food. The limited menu seems to help them focus on what they do best.

Meh. I was absolutely hyped to try their cauliflower "chicken" sandwich and "wings". It definitely had potential but the bun to cauliflower ratio is not there. I had enough fun for maybe a quarter of the cauliflower. It was also overly greasy as if they hadn't left it to drain before saucing it. I think they need to use more of a small hoagie roll for this. Allow it to drain a little bit and it has serious potential.

Every time we try this place it is a train wreck. Long long long cook time. Waited 20-25 minutes for one tender empty place.

Taco ruse indeed. Right now they are serving a regular CookOut menu and coffee. The cashier said…read morethey are serving the cookout menu because they cannot get any food shipments for a new menu. It doesn't really make sense to me but who knows. Eventually they plan to serve burritos and tacos. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it is to-go only right now. Credit cards are accepted. So one different food item they serve that is not actually written on their original Cookout menu is the Walking Taco (total with tax $3.04). It's essentially a small 1oz bag of nacho cheese Doritos topped with taco ingredients. It's topped with taco-seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and optional chopped jalapenos. It was tasty, but it gets soggy quick. I think it is worth one try or just make it yourself at home, but where is the fun in that? By the way, a utensil was not provided so don't forget to ask for a fork, unless you're a savage and like to get your hands dirty. Cookout is one of the better fast food restaurant (burger and fries) but I prefer Shake Shack burgers (on the east coast). I got a junior burger (about 4-in diameter bun) with all of the usual toppings (mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onions, lettuce) and added sliced cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and Cajun seasoning. Definitely recommend Cajun seasoning as this adds a lot more flavor. Also recommend getting grilled onions if you're a onion lover, but their grilled onions are no match for In-N-Out (on the west coast). Fries were thin, crispy, and salted well. Didn't come with ketchup packets automatically so had to ask for them. Also got a quesadilla (almost 8-in diameter) with beef. There's also an option for chicken. It is more like a snack so if you want to make it a meal, probably should get at least 2-3+ plus a side. I liked the quesadilla. The quesadilla was pressed with a panini press so it was crispy. It had flavorful ground patty beef mixed with melted cheese. I would be interested in seeing how their burritos and tacos taste like, if they ever add them.

It's tacos and a lot of stuff from the main menu like what you would find at any other burger place. There is also coffee. It's clean. The staff are following Covid protocols. And the wait is not nearly as long as if you go down the block, so there's that. And they have a couple other things that the other menu doesn't have.

It feels warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard. Service was friendly and relaxed -- Jess took great care of us throughout the evening. There was a small hiccup with the chicken order initially, but it was corrected quickly and professionally, which says a lot about how the team operates under pressure. Expediting could have been a little tighter, but the recovery was handled well. The food was the real star. The tuna appetizer was outstanding, and the fried chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful -- even though the crust was darker than expected and looked overcooked at first glance, it turned out to be tender and delicious once we cut into it. Biscuits were excellent, mac and cheese was rich and satisfying, and the grits were perfectly done. Desserts -- the brownie and apple cobbler -- were absolutely amazing and a strong finish to the meal. The only minor disappointment was the honey mustard/honey barbecue sauce, which was thinner than expected and lacked that thicker, honey-forward texture you might anticipate. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Great atmosphere, strong execution in the kitchen, and a team that clearly cares about taking care of their guests. Definitely a place worth returning to when in Wilmington.

Smoky Chicken That Needs No Sauce!…read more We popped into Papi's Peruvian Chicken on a Sunday, hoping to beat the church crowd, but it turns out, the real blessing was waiting inside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my buddy leaned over and said, "Man, someone's smoking something and it smells delicious." When we stepped inside, his grin got even bigger as he turned to me and said, "It's this place, great choice!" We both went for the smoked dark quarter with street corn salad. My buddy chose green beans, and I went with the Inca pork beans. I asked the woman at the counter to recommend a sauce, and she took the time to explain each one, patiently answering all my basic questions. It turns out, the chicken didn't need any sauce at all. It was smoky, moist, and packed with flavor--crispy on the outside with a deep, wood-fired taste that lingered with every bite. The Inca pork beans were hearty and full of flavor, a solid sidekick to the main event. The street corn salad, while fresh, could have used a bit more kick--maybe a sprinkle of cheese or a dash of lime to brighten it up. The interior's industrial strip mall vibe is functional but could benefit from a few authentic touches--like Peruvian art or music--to match the rich flavors coming out of the kitchen. If you're craving smoky, fall-off-the-bone chicken, Papi's Peruvian Chicken is worth the trip. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Their main focus is on fresh halal meat and seafood and Middle Eastern products. Eventually the owner plans to start a bakery and dine-in restaurant. They just started having fresh produce today, including kale, cabbage, corn on the cob, squash, tomatoes, limes. Packaged pita bread, individually packaged halva sweets, and bulk nuts, green almonds, and Egyptian dukkah spice are available. Other products are a little bit of everything, including Latin foods, canned goods, kitchenware, syria soap, beans, rice (Egyptian, Basmati, etc), spices, dates, snacks, tea, turkish coffee. Some of the frozen/refrigerated foods include smoked herring, bacon, biscuits, falafel, grated soursop, melted chocolate, mac and cheese with langoustine, Norwegian salmon, sausages, calamari, gelato, Turkish bagels, gyro slices, samosas, kebab, chicken patties, Lahmajun bread, lavash, plain paratha, frozen veggies and herbs including Okra, molokhia herb, broad beans, baklava, kunefe, cheeses. Shelf products include Ghee ($8.99 for 14 oz), Tahini sesame paste ($5.99 for 16 oz or $8.99 for 32 oz or $21.99 for eight pounds), Egyptian rice, basmati rice, different flours like chickpea, almond, cassava, coconut, whole wheat, Jareesh (crushed wheat), cauliflower rice, small packaged noodles, lupini beans, jarred pacaya, vermicelli, basbousa boxed mix. There are a lot of different and interesting spices, such as Chinese pine nuts, dried limes, mahshi spice, lebanese spices (shawarma, kibby, sumac, kafta, ouzi), yemeni hot chili pepper, black roasted onions, yemen spice, Zaatar, as well as Karkaday Egyptian Hibiscus tea flowers. I tried this pastry made from Karen bakery in New Jersey, warmed up in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350°. It was plain, but very good-flaky and buttery. The bread would go perfect with tea for an afternoon snack or small breakfast meal. Also tried frozen falafel (Ziyad brand) and baked it, even though it called for deep frying (trying to be healthy you know). They were cute little circular shaped falafel, about 1.75 in diameter and about half an inch thick. Although I prefer a ball shaped size, it did have good flavor. If there's a product you're looking for and they don't have it, the owner is willing to see if he can get it for you. I look forward to coming back when the bakery and restaurant opens. Side note: ask permission if you want to take any pictures. The owner was not happy or friendly towards me taking close up pictures of his products while browsing the store, regardless of the reason. I didn't have the greatest shopping experience. So if you want to try to remember the name of the product, best to write it down on a notepad instead of taking a picture. But then again, he might not like that either.
