I'm a convert! Used to say there was nothing better than Jersey Mike's. Firehouse Subs wins, hands down!! Who knew a lightly toasted sub made all the difference?! The staff were extremely attentive and got my order exactly right! They were friendly and patient while I made my decision of which sub to get! The interior was huge, a great place to eat your sub-since it was lightly toasted! You had options of high tops or regular table seating. One bad part about it, it's SO FAR AWAY! I don't usually complain but I picked up a DoorDash and they gave me the wrong order no big deal, but when I let them know they completely ignored me and make me feel so uncomfortable all while they were making themselves food. I understand they can't just give orders out but they could have at least listened to me. read more

I have heard a lot of people say how good Firehouse subs is. I ordered the hook and ladder and a cup of chili The sub was very tasty and had a delicious flavor. I do feel like it wasn't filling for the price. The portion size was not like other places . The chili was decent but the amount of "cheese" added was barely found. I've had Firehouse before and have liked it! However, today I went in after deciding I wanted it when I usually go to Subway. I got a build your own meal, with soda and chips. For $12, the sub was fine but the proportions of the ingredients were way off- there were more olives than lettuce? The soda machine must've been neglected, because the soda had color to it, but tasted like sparkling water. The syrup level must have not been measured in awhile. Finally, the chips I got were stale immediately after opening the bag, and I noticed several bags of chips that were partially opened on the rack. The crew working there was pretty nice and cracked some jokes, so no complaints there! Left wishing I would've just gone to Subway. read more

Good food, tasty Italian sub with a slightly sweeter dressing than usual, but not bad at all. Just different, which I like. Just a bit too much of it unfortunately. A bit soggy. The bread is good, but maybe a little more than necessary. Not my favorite sub in town, but not bad at all. I'll give them another try, and get the condiments on the side. I really enjoy a @FirehouseSubs meal. Their #10 Beef & Cheddar Brisket is so tasty. The staff is really friendly. My only advice, stay away from the pickles. I think they soak them in a super saturated salt solution before they serve them. Even the staff admitted the pickles were extra salty. #316 read more

Me and my family went into there to get some lunch and the service was so slow that they had over 15 people waiting to get there orders from couples to people with small kids. the line workers where so slow and had no since of urgency it was ridiculou. I will not be coming back to this location ever agian. read more

I haven't been to this location in years. (Usually going to the location near Carolina beach.) The service here was extremely rude. Was not greeted when walking in. All three workers looked at me without acknowledging me. They all looked annoyed to be working. The guy that gave me my food literally tossed my sandwich up on the bar. I only visit to use my birthday freebie every year because I'm not a big fan of their cold subs or choices but maybe I need to try a hot sub which I don't see any that appeals to me. My friends like their hot subs so maybe next year. However my visit this time wasn't too bad but it could have been better. I got there a few minutes before opening and had placed my order over the phone so imagine my surprise when they opened and some other people came in and I went to pay for order the young on register had no customer service vibe at all in her demeanor and didn't greet or say thank you plus didn't look very professional in her attire. Then while waiting for my order which should have been ready shortly thereafter but for some reason got pushed back and I ended up waiting 15 or more minutes while watching other customers coming and going or a multi order being filled before mine. The food or my order was soup and a sandwich; soup was ok it was warm and good but the sandwich bread seemed old and dry. It was not a good experience with the sandwich at all and I was reminded why I only visit once a year. read more

Stopped in shortly after they opened and the staff was busy working in the "kitchen" area. The young lady who took my order was very sweet and apologized for the wait. There was another young lady who made my sub and brought it to my table. The food was delicious and the restaurant appeared very clean. The staff was great and very friendly. This place is terrible. They never have your food ready when they say it will be for pick up. I ordered my food 20 minutes before arriving and then after arriving I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to be prepared. While I watched in store customers and other pick ups get their orders. I heard the hype, endured the endless television commercials and always thought, meh. Then I went and had a Hook & Ladder purely out of wondering what all the fuss was about. That sandwich was so good I had to sit down. Food is merely fuel to me, but when I eat something this good, it makes me swoon. Lots of meat and cheese and shredded lettuce. So tasty! They lost my rare Fifth Star because the cashier was surly and seemed annoyed by our lack of knowledge of their fare. The young lady who made our sandwiches did a terrific job and was just as friendly as could be. Customer service is extremely important to me. Those sandwiches are so good!! One of the best I've ever had. And I know sandwiches. Edit: 3-10-16. Thank you for your response. I realized I had been a bit harsh with my original comments as both our emotions were still fresh. I normally order a turkey sub from here and get it toasted with extra mayo. They have an entire counter full of hot sauces from all over. This gives my sandwich that extra kick I like that jalapenos can't fulfill. Every location I've patronized is clean and friendly. Prices are reasonable. read more
