I had an Attractions Book coupon for money off two menu items, so I decided to give Kale Me Crazy a try. I ordered the Poke Bowl for dinner and the Kale Salad to save for lunch the next day. The Poke Bowl was delicious and felt like a really healthy, satisfying dinner. It had tuna, plenty of fresh veggies, and a good amount of rice without being overly heavy. The portion was perfect for me -- filling without being too much. The Kale Salad was HUGE! It had quinoa, carrots, cranberries, and a light dressing that complemented everything really well. I saved it for lunch the following day, and I was impressed by how fresh it still tasted. It was filling enough to be a full meal, too. Ordering was easy, the whole experience was pleasant, and the restaurant was very clean. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I'll definitely be back! read more

My first visit was last night. There was no one else in the restaurant. Every table was dirty. I ordered a quesadilla and ended up feeding it to my dogs. Listen. When I like a place, I really, really, really like it. This is my new favorite place to eat in Wilmington. I wish it weren't because we have so many local places, but this food is always fresh and made with such care and precision that it has become my go-to place. The great thing is that I can get the acai bowl that I crave, and my husband still has a plethora of choices he also likes. It was our first time ordering from Kale Me Crazy and I'm sad to say that I was not able to eat the kale salad I ordered because it had ground up cilantro mixed in it. It didn't say anything about having cilantro in the ingredients so for me that very frustrating. I'm one of those people who can't stand the taste of cilantro and so it ruined the meal for me. You can walk inside, and notably, the restrooms are open if you've had a long drive on your way to the beach. I got a wrap and a salad, both of which were very respectable. My friend got the mushroom coffee iced latte which was also good! These drinks were expensive, but based on the ingredients, I understand why. Really cute place. I really really loved my chicken pesto wrap! It was delicious and it was a big enough servings that I was able to save and eat the other half the next day. My boyfriend got the Chicken Caesar Wrap which wasn't as good as the pesto wrap, the kale confused us and there was too much Kale and not enough of the other ingredients. This is one of new favorite places in Wilmington. They have a variety of Vegetarian and Vegan options, as well as food that caters to people who are not either. I had the Vegan Wrap with the tahini sauce and it was great. Beautiful decor in the restaurant and a nice outdoor seating area. Everything they make or bring in (the desserts are bought from another local company). They bottle their own juices in-store and even have coffee and teas.
