If you love biscuits, Vicious Biscuit is definitely worth a visit! The biscuit sandwiches were delicious, and the biscuits themselves were soft, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. One of my favorite touches was the jam bar -- so many fun jams and flavored butters to try, which made the experience feel extra special. My daughter and I both ordered the SEC (sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit), and it was excellent. They also have tons of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it an easy and comfortable spot to grab breakfast or brunch. Would definitely go back! read more

This counter serve restaurants is one of my favorite breakfast places in Wilmington! Staff is friendly and even though it's counter-serve they come by your table to check on you. The classic buttermilk chicken biscuit (Hen Solo) is my favorite. The biscuits are also a generous portion. There's also funny sayings decorated around the area. It can get crowded on a Saturday but it's worth it! The only negative is I would say the coffee is not that great. But the food is A+ read more

We went on an off-hour on a Sunday, so it wasn't busy. Typically there is a wait to dine in. The biscuits are big, fluffy and dense. While the sandwiches are creative and hefty, I'd like to try a more "regular" sandwich next time that highlights the biscuit more. The Fat Boy was the best with a good lump of pimento cheese. The Seabiscuit was not worth it. 4 pieces of fried shrimp that didn't pull together well. The Nashville Hot wasn't that hot but had good flavor. Lastly, the Huevos Rancheros was interesting with a black bean hummus-like spread. read more

While dropping off at the UPS store I came here for breakfast. First time here. Ordered at the counter. Cashier was friendly. Had a bowl with scrambled eggs, avocado. Sliced tomatoes, spinach and avocado, chicken sausage with potatoes and cheese. It was pretty good but the sausage was completely cold! Coffee was good. Cute spot. Want to bust at 9:45 am. Want worth 25.00 but if filled my tummy so I guess that was good. Thought it came with a biscuit but I guess it didn't. Wanted to try one. All in all it's decent. read more

Traveling on business, I needed a breakfast spot near my hotel. Vicious Biscuit was close by opened at 7am so it was an obvious choice. The menu is heavy on Biscuits and Protein. As a vegetarian, my options were limited but I was happy to order an egg white omelette with tomato, onion, spinach and avocado. The omelette was cooked well and the ingredients were fresh, but seasoning was non-existent and I needed to find salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. I also ordered a biscuit and breakfast potatoes on the side. The biscuit was ok but, in contrast to the eggs, it was too salty. The breakfast potatoes were deep fried and not enjoyable. Staff are friendly and the space is clean. Coffee was very good. 3.5 on the Yelp scale but rounding up because better use of salt could fix most of the problems - that and finding a way to NOT deep fry the potatoes. read more

We've been to other VB locations and this one just didn't cut the snuff. There were lots of tables that had not been cleared and my biscuit breakfast was served lukewarm. Additionally, the sausage gravy had separated and it was disgusting! See my pics. I'm not one to return food because I'm always worried what the kitchen staff will do to a replacement, so I just dealt with it the best I could. That said, for the price of 13 dollars for a biscuit sammich, there's no way they should've served me what they did. It was totally obvious it was gross. We won't return to this location. Big disapointment compared to other VB locations. read more

I always overlook this side of town for breakfast but my husband requested this as I was coming off the beach this am. I almost walked out because the line was long but then read a sign stating that it moved fast. They weren't kidding! I was able to place my to-go order pretty quickly and was only waiting for a few minutes before my order was ready. I picked up the hen solo which was for my husband and the animal farm. The biscuit was huge! I cut it in half and have leftovers. The biscuit was really delicious. It was crumbly and slightly sweet with a cornmeal like texture. The bacon had some heat which offset the eggs and the cheese. I will definitely be back and not be intimidated by the line. read more

First time coming here. I loved the food. I thought it would be similar to Brunches where you are seated and served but it's more like Chicfila where you go to the counter and order and then they bring your food to your table. This was my first experience and I must say, " Wow!" When I seen the line out there door I begun to get discouraged, but the wait was well worth it. There was plenty of seating on the inside and a few outside as well. This is an establishment where you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Ordering at the counter was where the line was coming from, but I fully understand the structure. I ordered an Animal Farm biscuit with a sweet tea. It was a Vicious (sweet with a little heat) candied bacon, egg (anyway that you want it cooked), white cheddar cheese. The biscuit was amazing. It's fresh, dense, soft, creamy, and a pretty big sized biscuit. Absolutely one of the best I have ever had in my life. It was so good I didn't bother to take a picture. My ma ordered a mocha and she gave it a 10/10. She said it was so good that she ready to open up one back home in Virginia! Lol. Everything that you need is at the spread bar where they have several jams and butters, bottles of ketchup, drinks, and silverware. The ambience is lively with a relaxed atmosphere. It blends the fast counter service with the Southern hospitality. I definitely recommend trying and I definitely will be coming back! read more

This is the first meal in a while that has truly impressed me with every aspect of dining out! I was not happy to see a long line this morning, but it moved along pretty efficiently and I never felt like it was overly crowded or busy. There was ample seating both inside and outside available so the crowds never felt overwhelming or unbearable! The woman who took my order was upbeat and pleasant and didn't seem phased by the line of people. She answered clarifying questions such as what is cowboy candy without missing a beat! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and an iced chai. The chai was served in a mason jar and cinnamon was sprinkled on top, nice touches added to a refreshing beverage. The Shrimp and Grits were OUTSTANDING!!!! The biscuit, the grits, the gravy and the shrimp were pure perfection! It was plated nicely and I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not being able to polish it off completely but it was a good portion size(I think I left 2-3 bites of biscuit behind but otherwise pretty much cleaned the bowl). Sadly I didn't get to sample any of the jam or butters bc my biscuit came slathered in stuff so, I will simply have to rerun some other time! A manager also stopped by the table and we had a pleasant exchange! Keep doing what you're doing, I can't wait to make this a regular stop when I come to the wrightsville beach area! read more

Decided to try this place for lunch. It was prime lunch time, and almost deserted. Walking in the door , it smelled wonderful. It gave me time to check out the large menu and decide on what to have. So many options , biscuits, to eggs to waffles and more. I decided on a Sweet potato Belgian Waffle and fried chicken. It came with a honey mustard sauce and maple syrup. I placed my order and was given a table number to display. Waited just a few minutes and out came lunch . The waffle was warm and crisp . Had great flavor and went well with the maple syrup. I tasted the honey mustard, and wow was it spicy. I kept to the maple syrup. The chicken had great flavor , perfectly fried, went great with the waffle. They do have a "butter bar" that had numerous butters to use on your biscuits. I will return and try out a biscuit next time. If the restaurant is crowded, it will be noisy. read more

I tried the Cuban sandwich and it was at room temperature which was kind of disappointing. It was also lacking the mustard and I had to ask for it. Came here for breakfast after our sprint triathlon and this really hit the spot! Lots of parking available outside. Very easy ordering inside and then you bring your number to your table. The menu has many different biscuit and bowl options. Had to wait in line for about 5 minutes but not very long for a Saturday morning. The inside and outside have many seating options. We sat out on the patio and it was lovely! We ordered some mimosas and they came out very quickly. The orange juice was very fresh! I ordered the fat boy and loved it! Hot honey was delicious and chicken was big and crispy! Biscuit was very yummy. The jam and butter bar inside is also very fun! The price was good ~$11 for the biscuit sandwich. I'm so disappointed... that I've never tried this before!! I'm so upset I've deprived myself of the heaven they serve. Truly the best southern biscuits around! Counter service makes the experience pretty quick! Their menu is solid with a variety of sandwiches on their house made biscuits. They have regular buttermilk and cheddar jalapeño! The Nashville hot chicken was a hit, but honestly everything was. Beignets were lovely and warm with South Carolina jam. I had a BYO biscuit with an over easy egg, avocado, and cheddar. The potatoes were a nice side too. My mouth is watering just thinking about everything! They have a butter/jam bar that is so fun. It's not a cheap breakfast place, but it will leave you full til dinner and you will leave happy! Do not miss this place. read more

Last day of spring break vacay in Wilmington and we stopped here for breakfast before we hit the road. This place is so cute, customer service was great as well as the food. We ordered a variety of food on the menu. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken biscuit, which he enjoyed because there wasn't a crumb left on the plate, he said it had a little quick to, which he liked. My daughter had a sausage, egg & cheese biscuit, she enjoyed it as well, the sausage patty alone was enough to fill you. I had the Old School Breakfast Platter, 2 eggs, bacon, grits and a biscuit, I also added a side of maple sausage gravy. It was very good, we also shared the beignets. They were good, they weren't a traditional beignet, they added strawberry syrup and whipped cream, they were also stuffed with a cinnamon flavor. Very tasty. The also offer mimosas, which I passed on this time . I'll definitely be back to indulge. Check it out if you like biscuits. read more

Service was great! Food came super fast and they were not very busy on a Sunday morning. The place is very nice and spacious as well. I ordered the flame thrower which has fried chicken covered in hot sauce, candied bacon, candied jalapeños and a spicy sauce. It was amazing! It was nice and spicy and all of the flavors went well together. I also tried some of the vicious which had gravy and maple syrup. It was good but a little too sweet for me from the syrup. We need this chain in Winston Salem! Wait was a little long, but totally worth it. Our party got a mixture of different biscuit sandwiches off the menu, beignets, and pancakes. The biscuits were fluffy, dense, and super delicious! Some of the best we've had. The beignets and pancakes were hot and tasty, and the service was excellent. Yes yes yes!!! Vicious biscuit is going right to my list of top places for chicken & biscuits- or really anything! The staff here is so welcoming & kind. We ordered from the most kind human being at the counter- I wish I caught their name. They were so quick to answer our questions, give their suggestions, and guide us to making wonderful choices. The biscuits here are out of control. There are some outrageous combinations. However I went with the classic vicious biscuit- which I kind of regret not adding an egg to for an extra $1.50. The vicious includes a jalepeno cheddar biscuit, fried chicken, sausage gravy, syrup, cowboy candy (which is tequila infused candied jalepenos- yes you read that right). This combo was AMAZING. I cannot even decide what my favorite part of it is. The biscuit is moist, the chicken crispy and flavorful, and the sausage gravy is not too heavy and has a subtle sweetness to it. My husband went with I believe what was called the "fat boy". I can't quite remember what was on his but it did include pimento cheese! There's fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, a BUTTER bar (yes that's right) with tons of different butter options as well as tasty syrup combinations. We will definitely be back to vicious biscuit, like probably tomorrow... read more

As a North Carolinian, I can say there is truly nothing better than a good biscuit for breakfast. When I heard about Vicious biscuit I had to give it a try. When you arrive you walk up to the counter and order and then take a number to your seat where the food is brought out to you. There are quite a few biscuit options from the vicious which is loaded with chicken, gravy & other toppings to the hen solo which is a plain chicken biscuit. If biscuits aren't your thing they have other dishes like shrimp and grits to try. I decided to start with the basics and got the hen solo. The chicken was moist & fried well. That leads me to the biscuit itself, which I had mixed feelings about. If you are trying this place, know that this isn't your classic buttery, flaky biscuit (which I prefer). Instead the biscuits are more sturdy & a little thicker (kind of built like a hamburger bun) which I can only assume is to hold the numerous toppings. Overall, I would return however with a different set of expectations. read more

This place was so good! Even better was my friend and I beat the mad rush by 8 minutes. You can choose from sweet or savory biscuits, but I typically go for the hearty choice so I ordered the Fat Boy chicken sandwich (buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken breast, pimento cheese, and spicy honey drizzle). It was delicious! And also very messy so I just used my fork and knife to chop it up instead of trying to pick the whole biscuit up. It wasn't spicy hot to me - If you can handle Tabasco sauce you will enjoy this biscuit. My friend and I also ordered a side of the sweet puppies. It's basically State Fair type dough balls with a side of some yummy, gooey sauce. You won't go wrong. The coffee was just ok. I should've added the $.50 flavor shot. They also have a jam bar where you can pick from several jams and butters for your biscuits. The maple bourbon was good on my sweet puppies. Will definitely be back! read more

This new biscuit place is located next to the UPS store in The Forum. There is plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. You place your order at the cashier, you get a number, choose a place to sit, and then the food is delivered to your table. There is a self-serve bar of different fruit jams and butters. Tried the sweet puppies, the vicious beignets, the ranchero, and a build your own biscuit. Overall, everything was good, but the biscuit for the ranchero sandwich could have been better. My favorite was the sweet puppies, deep fried sweet potato balls served with white chocolate custard (which looks like butter). They taste just as good with the butters as well. Exterior was very crispy and inside is dense, cake like. The vicious beignets by itself were okay. The cinnamon cream cheese filling was a nice touch. The flavor was great paired with the maple syrup strawberries and whipped cream that came with it. The cheddar and jalapeno biscuit for the ranchero was too soft, seemed undercooked. This might have been a fluke since it was their grand opening day and I saw someone else's ranchero biscuit look more cooked than mine when I was leaving. The sandwich itself is huge and is not handheld unless you want a very messy breakfast. The flavor of the whole sandwich was alright. It came with a thick mashed black beans, pico de gallo, sunnyside egg, panko breaded avocado, cilantro, and a spicy remoulade. Couldn't tell there was a spicy remoulade. My partner did a build your own biscuit with bacon, fried green tomato, egg, white cheddar cheese. His biscuit was the total opposite of mine. His biscuit had a golden brown crust and better flavor then the ranchero biscuit. He asked for cheddar cheese and it automatically came with white cheddar cheese so not sure if they have yellow cheddar cheese available. His sandwich was also huge, at least 5 in diameter. All of the butters (Honey, sweet potato, maple bourbon) and jams (apple pie, strawberry, peach, blackberry ghost pepper) were good. Coffee was decent. Cocktails are available. Service seems good, attentive and polite staff. There is a changing table in the restroom for those with babies. If I come back here, I might stick with build your own biscuit or make sure to ask them to cook the biscuit until it's golden brown. read more
