The classic buttermilk chicken biscuit (Hen Solo) is my favorite. The biscuits are also a generous portion. There's also funny sayings decorated around the area. While dropping off at the UPS store I came here for breakfast. First time here. Ordered at the counter. Cashier was friendly. Had a bowl with scrambled eggs, avocado. Traveling on business, I needed a breakfast spot near my hotel. Vicious Biscuit was close by opened at 7am so it was an obvious choice. The menu is heavy on Biscuits and Protein. As a vegetarian, my options were limited but I was happy to order an egg white omelette with tomato, onion, spinach and avocado. The omelette was cooked well and the ingredients were fresh, but seasoning was non-existent and I needed to find salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. I also ordered a biscuit and breakfast potatoes on the side. The biscuit was ok but, in contrast to the eggs, it was too salty. The breakfast potatoes were deep fried and not enjoyable. Staff are friendly and the space is clean. Coffee was very good. 3.5 on the Yelp scale but rounding up because better use of salt could fix most of the problems - that and finding a way to NOT deep fry the potatoes. read more

I always overlook this side of town for breakfast but my husband requested this as I was coming off the beach this am. I almost walked out because the line was long but then read a sign stating that it moved fast. They weren't kidding! I was able to place my to-go order pretty quickly and was only waiting for a few minutes before my order was ready. I picked up the hen solo which was for my husband and the animal farm. The biscuit was huge! I cut it in half and have leftovers. The biscuit was really delicious. It was crumbly and slightly sweet with a cornmeal like texture. This is the first meal in a while that has truly impressed me with every aspect of dining out! I was not happy to see a long line this morning, but it moved along pretty efficiently and I never felt like it was overly crowded or busy. There was ample seating both inside and outside available so the crowds never felt overwhelming or unbearable! The woman who took my order was upbeat and pleasant and didn't seem phased by the line of people. She answered clarifying questions such as what is cowboy candy without missing a beat! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and an iced chai. The chai was served in a mason jar and cinnamon was sprinkled on top, nice touches added to a refreshing beverage. The Shrimp and Grits were OUTSTANDING!!!! The biscuit, the grits, the gravy and the shrimp were pure perfection! It was plated nicely and I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not being able to polish it off completely but it was a good portion size(I think I left 2-3 bites of biscuit behind but otherwise pretty much cleaned the bowl). Sadly I didn't get to sample any of the jam or butters bc my biscuit came slathered in stuff so, I will simply have to rerun some other time! Always love coming here and today I tried a new item, The Babe! And of course, always have to get the beignets! The line can be long at peak times, but it moves along pretty quickly. The service there is great, everyone is so friendly. And of course, the decor is just so cute to look at, they've done an excellent job. And it's great that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Decided to try this place for lunch. It was prime lunch time, and almost deserted. Walking in the door , it smelled wonderful. It gave me time to check out the large menu and decide on what to have. Last day of spring break vacay in Wilmington and we stopped here for breakfast before we hit the road. This place is so cute, customer service was great as well as the food. We ordered a variety of food on the menu. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken biscuit, which he enjoyed because there wasn't a crumb left on the plate, he said it had a little quick to, which he liked. My daughter had a sausage, egg & cheese biscuit, she enjoyed it as well, the sausage patty alone was enough to fill you. The biscuits here are out of control. There are some outrageous combinations. However I went with the classic vicious biscuit- which I kind of regret not adding an egg to for an extra $1.50. The vicious includes a jalepeno cheddar biscuit, fried chicken, sausage gravy, syrup, cowboy candy (which is tequila infused candied jalepenos- yes you read that right). This combo was AMAZING. I cannot even decide what my favorite part of it is. The biscuit is moist, the chicken crispy and flavorful, and the sausage gravy is not too heavy and has a subtle sweetness to it. My husband went with I believe what was called the "fat boy". I can't quite remember what was on his but it did include pimento cheese! There's fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, a BUTTER bar (yes that's right) with tons of different butter options as well as tasty syrup combinations. That leads me to the biscuit itself, which I had mixed feelings about. If you are trying this place, know that this isn't your classic buttery, flaky biscuit (which I prefer). Instead the biscuits are more sturdy & a little thicker (kind of built like a hamburger bun) which I can only assume is to hold the numerous toppings. You can choose from sweet or savory biscuits, but I typically go for the hearty choice so I ordered the Fat Boy chicken sandwich (buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken breast, pimento cheese, and spicy honey drizzle). This new biscuit place is located next to the UPS store in The Forum. There is plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. You place your order at the cashier, you get a number, choose a place to sit, and then the food is delivered to your table. There is a self-serve bar of different fruit jams and butters. Tried the sweet puppies, the vicious beignets, the ranchero, and a build your own biscuit. Overall, everything was good, but the biscuit for the ranchero sandwich could have been better. My favorite was the sweet puppies, deep fried sweet potato balls served with white chocolate custard (which looks like butter). They taste just as good with the butters as well. Exterior was very crispy and inside is dense, cake like. The vicious beignets by itself were okay. The cinnamon cream cheese filling was a nice touch. The flavor was great paired with the maple syrup strawberries and whipped cream that came with it. The cheddar and jalapeno biscuit for the ranchero was too soft, seemed undercooked. This might have been a fluke since it was their grand opening day and I saw someone else's ranchero biscuit look more cooked than mine when I was leaving. The sandwich itself is huge and is not handheld unless you want a very messy breakfast. The flavor of the whole sandwich was alright. It came with a thick mashed black beans, pico de gallo, sunnyside egg, panko breaded avocado, cilantro, and a spicy remoulade. Couldn't tell there was a spicy remoulade. My partner did a build your own biscuit with bacon, fried green tomato, egg, white cheddar cheese. His biscuit was the total opposite of mine. His biscuit had a golden brown crust and better flavor then the ranchero biscuit. He asked for cheddar cheese and it automatically came with white cheddar cheese so not sure if they have yellow cheddar cheese available. His sandwich was also huge, at least 5 in diameter. All of the butters (Honey, sweet potato, maple bourbon) and jams (apple pie, strawberry, peach, blackberry ghost pepper) were good. Coffee was decent. Cocktails are available. Service seems good, attentive and polite staff. There is a changing table in the restroom for those with babies. If I come back here, I might stick with build your own biscuit or make sure to ask them to cook the biscuit until it's golden brown. read more
