Two eggs scrambled
Richard W.

I've been here several times and tried to give them a chance. The people are really nice that own it and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, their food is way overpriced.. I've stopped in several times for breakfast and lunch ... Today I ordered two eggs scrambled with no sides of any kind and a cup of coffee. They charged me $22! Again, only two eggs scrambled! No cheese, no extras no sides no nothing. And a cup of coffee. I was expecting the bill to be seven or eight bucks. Unfortunately because of the overpriced menu, I will not be going back. They did not put utensils which I requested in the to go order and they also did not give me a side of salsa which I requested in the to go order. That's on me for not checking the order before I got in the truck.

Avocado toast with smoked salmon. 4 pieces but I'd already gobbled down one

Why coffee....why not!! My second time and I'm just as pleased as my first trip. Try this friendly, clean place out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

Wow wow wow! I can't say enough good things about this place. I've found one of my top favorite…read morerestaurants in Wilmington. This place gives Miami feels. The ambience has this electric tropic feel, playing a variety of old and new Latin tunes, with lowkey lighting but not so low you can't see anything. The food it's packed full of flavor and the margs are on point! I recommend starting off with the pork belly quac, and a spicy margarita with tajin on the rim I had the Machu Picchu roll(corvina, citrus tiger milk, mango confetti, and more) and I swear was one of the most beautifully creative flavor packed dishes I have ever had in this town. Look, if you are wanting a quick getaway to another culinary world and are tired of the same ol wings, pizza , and beer come check out this spot. Oh! And to top it all off the service was stellar! Also, the restrooms are super clean and well stocked!

First and foremost our server Bella was fantastic, she was so personable and ran through the menu with us even offering suggestions. The restaurant itself is very cool, it's definitely more upscale Mexican and the food more than met that standard. I had the 4 enchilada plate, they are stuffed with delicious chicken and at Bella's recommendation I did 2 with their homemade mole and 2 with the homemade queso, both were excellent. My wife had the cauliflower dish and really enjoyed it, it's not something she gets every day and the flavor really popped, great vegetarian options at Vochas. We had the Maracuyá Tres Leches Cake for dessert and it was next level tasty. Next time we come visit we'll definitely drop by again for an outstanding meal.

When we've come with friends or larger groups, the service has been much more mediocre. The first time we visited, one of the waitresses was surprisingly rude when I asked about vegetarian options. All she said was "salad," despite there being multiple salads (2 out of the 3) on the menu, including a Caesar with anchovy and a wedge salad with bacon. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and was much more helpful and respectful. I'm not sure why vegetarian requests are sometimes treated like an inconvenience or unusual concept. I'm married to a huge meat eater and enjoy going to places he likes, but I do wish vegetarian guests were met with a little more patience and understanding. Especially when I am the one paying the bill. The atmosphere is loud and busy, but they are generally accommodating. For larger parties, they require a credit card to hold the reservation and give a limited grace period, with a fee of around $15 per person for no-shows. I understand why restaurants have policies like this, but it felt a little unfair considering we still had to wait around 15-20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. If guests are expected to strictly follow time slots, I think the restaurant should also try to hold themselves to those same standards. It also took close to two hours for our food to come out, and we repeatedly had to ask for smaller things like water or hot sauce. I completely understand that larger parties can take longer, but we were a group of seven, which didn't seem unusually large. Overall, the food and atmosphere keep us coming back, but the consistency in service could definitely be improved.
