Having drive-thru service only for called-in orders is ridiculous, since you can sit in your car in their parking lot to call-in your order, and then drive to pick it up at the call-in / drive-thru window. And if you go inside to order, they want you to order on an electronic board that is way too complicated. It's best to just tell them you don't want to use the electronic board. My oldest and I went here cause he loves the food here. I love this place cause somehow it reminds me of being in the south cause oddly enough this is where I had my first "real" sweet tea. So we ordered and I kid you not as soon as I put my card in the guy was like your number will be 42. And as soon as he said that funny enough he was like number 42 your food is ready. I was totally surprised at how good it was. My order was messed up a bit and some extras that I paid for weren't there but the salad and baked potato were good. I really found nothing good in what I had to eat......Spicy Turkey Sandwich was greasy and just tasted of a bad sandwich meat same for the club. Lol and that was not spicy turkey.....Soup bland and potato salad as well.....I cannot imagine getting a salad wrong but I didn't try that at all. Ok. Today was my 2nd visit this year and, I have to say, today's visit was extremely disappointing and shocking. As for the facilities themselves- the table was filthy. There were still crumbs and other debris from previous patrons and it was the same for the booth seat at our half booth/ half table. I looked around hoping to find a cleaner table, but they all looked this way. Behind the cushions on the booth seat, there were tons of crumbs from God only knows how many days of not being cleaned. The table had sticky crusty things on the side that will touch your shirt if you sit too close to it. The napkin holder had some kind of hard, crusted over food on the top where, when you pull the napkins out, the napkins will rub against it. It was really disgusting. My husband said the men's restroom was filthy as well. I didn't even attempt to visit the ladies room. The dining room was scary enough. Now for the food- The last time I came, my soup was delivered to the table and it was not even warm. I had the exact same problem, with the exact same soup (Broccoli Cheddar) this time; however, this time I asked them to warm it up. When they brought it to my table the 2nd time, it still wasn't warm. The cup was warm but the congealed liquid within was not. Fine, whatever, I just wanted to leave as soon as possible at this point. I had an Orange Cranbury Club and it was tasty. I would definitely order it again, if I am brave enough to enter this facility again. My beverage was good. This time I got half lemonade and half sweet tea. Very refreshing. The carrot cake was ok as well. Before we left, I asked for a refill of my drink and for more ice. The guy doing the refills took my cup and kept adding ice to it until it was overflowing the rim. I had to tell him that there was enough ice now, so he would stop continuing to put ice in the cup, and so there would be room for liquid. He tips my cup backwards and pours the excess ice BACK INTO THE ICE SCOOP and dumps the ice from the scoop into the little drink dispenser drain (using the scoop for this step wasnt even necessary!). Then, he put the ice scoop back where he got it from, without washing it!!! Mind you, I had already been using this cup while eating at the restaurant, so that was completely unsanitary. Granted, I'm not sick or anything, but I'm just wondering how many other times he's done this to people. Overall, I'm pretty disgusted by our visit today. I doubt we will be back for a while. There are major training issues that need to be resolved here. Oh and, before I forget, you need to wipe the tables down BEFORE you sweep the floors guys. That's how you keep the floors clean. Just a tip. Sigh. read more

Loving these amazing salads with fresh ingredients and delivered on a HUGE plate! It's definitely a top spot to get a salad now! The dressing is great too...I could Lick and dip in it for days! The best aspect of our visit here was definately the friendliness of the workers, specifically Jerald and Jeff, they are awesome and dedicated to good service! The chips and queso are delicious and I had the spicy Turkey club and it was good as well. Their tea is obviously some of the best! They lost a star for few reasons. First of all, most of the tables were dirty, however one of the workers cleaned all of them while we were there so they didnt stay that way. Second, the chips that came with the nacho basket were mostly all crumbs as you can see in the pictures I attached. We also had a noodle in our queso and some meat in our bowl of jalapenos. Lastly, the sandwiches are tasty but nothing that wows you and half of what you would expect their size to be for the price you pay. Personally, I do not come here normally because of the value of their meals. read more

Food was okay, but wasn't hot. This is the first McAlisters that I've been to that wasn't very clean. There's trash on the floor by the front door that was left swept up in a pile and obvious trash leading into the kitchen. Been here for about 20 minutes and watched several employees step over it, including a manager. The cashier wasn't very enthused or welcoming, but the person who brought the food out was very attentive and upbeat. Figured everyone was ready to go home. read more

I had written a four star review of this location a couple of years back, and had written in my review why I was giving four stars in lieu of five. (I'd also promised to up my Yelp rating if things had improved by the time of my second visit. Well, I'm a man of my word.) We dropped in for lunch last week and were both duly impressed by the positive changes we witnessed. The dining room was clean and bright, and COVID-19 prevention measures were in place. (And yes, this includes social distancing.) Our Italian Chopped Salads were generous, and (as always) our iced tea was perfect. (Laugh if you wanna -- it's hard to get iced tea just right. 3/12/20 We decided to give it a try again. We went in at 11:20 with our grandchildren. Did not get served until 11:40.. We got the grandchildren each a macaroni and cheese.. it was a bit overcooked with the brown burnt crust on it. The fruit cup they enjoyed except for the stems left on the grapes. There's not a whole lot to write about McAlister's. This location is not super clean and it feels dated. As soon as you walk in, you wonder whether you should dine in or take the food to go. The service is decent. The menu has a good variety of food. From salads to sandwiches. They have soups and spuds as well. So if you're wondering, why the [*][*][*]'s, the reason we go there is cause kids under 12 dine in for $0.99 per entrée. They love to accommodate any change you please, grill, toast it, take it off! Of course the real prize here, is the stupendous tea, I prefer the sweet version. It's highly addictive and should come with a warning label that even though it a large cup, it is nothing compared to the thirst for that sweet nectar. Overall, eat here for a quick lunch! I have have been going to McAlisters for years now and it has yet to disappoint. It is always a solid go-to meal. Whether you want a soup, salad, giant spud...they've got you covered! For my personal recommendation, especially in the cool weather, you absolutely cannot go wrong with their Chicken Tortilla Soup. In Fact I love it enough that I typically will get it added on to my meal no matter what I order! It is just so warm and delicious, I have yet to find anywhere that can match their flavor! Some other tasty Greats are the McAlisters Club, Reuben, Ultimate Nachos, & one of their newer items that I hope is there to stay-- the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch Sandwich! You can't go wrong with any of these! One of my favorite options on McAlisters Menu is their Pick Two option! This allows me to have Half of my Favorite sandwich and also get a cup of that delicious Tortilla soup! Such a perfect option to have! And! The pick two does not leave you hungry, you get great portion sizes and you are good to go! One last item to most definitely not forget about at McAlisters, and possibly the biggest addiction that keeps me coming back....the Sweet Tea!!!!! Unexpected road trips, how hard can they be? Driving back and forth between Stillwater and Austin I just might have a few top tips. Driving into OK Norman is your best chance for your familiar spots. If your looking to dine a few miles after that your almost out of luck. A mile or so just off 35 is Edmond. Picking probably the safe choice over Denny's and CiCi's pizza, McAlister's was an unexpected oasis of mass produced yet a well prepared sandwiches. The cream based tortilla soup delivered minimal notes of south of border. The Reuben for road trip grub was quite good. Jenny's football sized baked potato with veggie chili averaged a three star rating. Little Rooster's pita pizza had flavor issues. The rest was a bag of chips, Lays that is. Venturing into a new neighborhood off the interstate we found Edmond kinda familiar and inviting. An above average place for lunch, considering there is a Subway at every exit. read more
