We were given a choice of polishes. Some came with an additional charge. We went for the one that dried within 5 minutes for an additional $10 each. My daughter and I sat side by side and had our manis. From start to finish the pedicures took about 30 mins. While my technician was applying polish, I noticed it was unevenly coated on 2 of my nails. It was supposed to dry in 5 mins and after 7 mins I touched the uneven coat and it smudged. I asked the technician to fix it and she did. We waited about 10 mins for the polish to dry, my daughter waited longer since her pedi was short. When we got home her polish is completely smudged. Overall I enjoyed the experience but dont think this is for me. Even looking closely at our toe nails long after they dried, there are spots of missing polish on my feet and smudges on my daughters decal.

I got the basic gel manicure and regular pedicure, and it came out to $98 before tax + tip. I got my nails done with Jasmin, and she did a great job perfectly shaping my nails + painting. Also was so impressed with my pedicure (not pictured), as my feet were in terrible condition and they look soooo good now! It's been a week and my nails haven't chipped at all. Sometimes when I go to nail salons the paint job is a little messy, and when I do light colors I'm worried about it being streaky or uneven, but this place was really great about meticulously painting, and it looks great! They also give you a little moisturizer and hand/foot massage with the standard mani/pedi which was a nice touch. Everyone there was super nice and I like that there was a cafe attached where you could get something to sip on or eat while you waited. All in all, would definitely recommend, really high quality service and good value IMO, will be coming back soon!

When I approached, I was asked about my dialysis, and she stated she was unable to serve me due to my disability. I asked if there was any way to schedule help, but she looked at me and said, "No, there is no one here to help you." I scanned the room and saw multiple nail techs sitting and waiting. When I asked to speak to a manager--as she had been on her phone during our entire conversation--she laughed and stated, "I am the owner." I have never been more disrespected. Refusing service based on race and disability is illegal and completely unacceptable. Avoid this business.

When googling around I saw they had this service listed on their website. I just recently moved to a building two blocks over so I stopped by to make an appointment to have them removed. Everything after that was chaos. They had no idea what I was asking for and treated me like I was doing something shady or weird, when it's a listed service on their website with a price and everything. Halfway through the service, they asked if I also wanted a manicure. I repeated what I told the woman at the front desk: my nails beneath the extensions are too weak and damaged from all the fill ins so I want to let them grow out a bit, but I wanted to have them filed / trimmed / shaped etc once the extensions were off so the would at least look clean. They told me this would cost extra. I gave them some side eye because that should be part of the price but told them that was fine. At the end of the service, the woman told me I was done and could go. I was shocked. My nails were a mess. Not trimmed, not neat, with edges literally cracking and hanging off. They didn't charge me for the clean up service, but I couldn't believe they were going to send me on my way with nails looking how they did, super damaged and ugly. I went home to finish the job myself. Additionally, they treated every other customer who came in way different. Other girls were offered little stools to put their bags on while mine was put on the floor right next to old nail clippings etc. Even if it wasn't for the terrible service, I wouldnt go back for the poor treatment alone. I was treated so strangely for asking for a service that they say, per their website, they offer. Luckily, primp and polish is only a few blocks away. I've been going there ever since. The space is clean and bright, the staff are friendly, and the prices are comparable. I will never return to nail of the day.

Honestly I don't have a go-to manicurist because, in my opinion, the ladies who have served me (usually) did an excellent job- minus some accidental hiccups. Overall, the employees are professional, can read the room, and do a nice job. The price is reasonable for the location (especially) with the weekday specials. The music is excellent as they play a playlist of lofi hits. Most of the clients also keep to themselves whenever I visit so the ambience is peaceful, especially for those who need a rest from NYC's busy life. The color variety and quality brands they curate are excellent too so there will be a color you can find even if the one that you initially wanted is discounted (I'm looking at you silver!!!). Pros: Service is professional and on time Variety of quality colors and brands Appointments made through website, app, phone or in person Walk ins available but not recommended at peak time Clean bathroom Coat check Clean space Peaceful ambience Front desk service Free drinks (wine, tea, water, hot chocolate) Accepts cash and card/contactless Accepts cash or venmo payment for tips Price reasonable with specials from Mon-Thurs Conveniently located near the B62/B32 and G train Cons: Gets very busy, especially for walk ins Definitely a nice nail shop locally made in Greenpoint

Note that everyone leaves 5 stars for this place and its for a reason!! I have only gotten waxed by one person in my life- the goddess herself Irina. Irina is gentle, an angel, talented, profesional and the conversation you have with her is so genuine and makes the process so not terrifying. She's the Russian mommy I always wanted. She calls me a "baby" just because I always get scared before my wax and we laugh through the entire time. Lets be real- brazilian waxing is the scariest most terrifying thing a woman does (besides childbirth lmao) but if you have any reservations or are nervous, she will walk you through the process. Brazilians are done in less than 10 minutes, seriously. She plucks any other leftover hairs (never more than 1 or 2) and I also rarely get ingrowns. Never burns or rashes and I have very sensitive skin. It's always an immaculate job. I have lived all over NYC and Long Island and no matter where I am, I will always go back to Irina and Serenity. At this point, she is family. A million stars! I will recommend to ANYONE. Advice: Bring cash, and don't be late for your appointment. Use Tend Skin a day after wax and you can purchase it there. Brazilians are $50.

They cut my nails evenly and put in so much work to remove callus as well. They don't do acrylic here which makes the smell inside so relaxing. I chose chrome gel polish which is $10 more but she waived that fee since I didn't see it on any sign. Come here, you won't regret it. They do prefer cash tips btw.
