I had a spa pedicure , seemed more like a regular pedicure with streaks and when I asked to fix it all she did was add extra polish. I won't ever come back here again. HORRIBLE!!!! I went into establishment for service, paid 65.00 for the work that was completed..to be destroyed after 4 days. The acrylic lifted right off my nails!! When I lived in the area, both my sister and I went to judy's more frequently. This was my first time here in years. I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday night and was greeted immediately. I was also seated for my pedi right away. I got the spa pedi and regular mani ($25), I also had to soak my gel off ($3). The pedicure came with a scrub and an 8 min massage. The lady was very fast and neat. She understood me well but spoke little English. They also offer other services like waxing, facials and massages. I've done them all in the past and were pleased with the results. I look forward to returning again. read more

I'm going to take a deep breath and count to ten before I begin.... Let me start by saying I smiled and was as patient as humanly possible while dealing with this lady. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I asked her to make my feet cute cause I had an event to attend. I then went on to say I like my nails square, neat and short. (Let's speed to the end result cause I ended up with my ankle scrubbed with a pummelled stone and my toenails getting cut AFTER the gel polish was put on) Yes you read correctly. And charged me $53 to do so. Gee Wizard! I almost forgot to mention I didn't have the $3 in cash (I'm a big tipper so I had a tens which I would've eaten or burned before I gave her one. She took the fifty off the counter I took out my purse when she told me $53 (I NEVER had a regular pedicure with a $7 heal treatment that cost me $53) when I dug back into my purse to get my card to give her to charge the $53. (I then noticed my money was gone) I had to ask her for it back. Just do yourself a favour and steer clear, this place wasn't that sanitary anyway. (just rinsed the pedicure equipment) YUCK! The owner is so sweet but honestly I had the same nail lady twice and the first time she was rude she seemed annoyed by me trying to pick out a color and would try to rush me like I was wasting her time the entire time. So after the gym I decided to get my nails done. This is not my regular nail salon but I decided to give it try. It didn't seem too crowded . It had a few people in it so it gave me hope . I walked in and asked for the wait time . They said I would have to wait about ten minutes. Not a bad wait time and I needed my nails done . I picked an amazing color . They do have good color selection . Only problem is the fact they use Acetone to thin the nail polish. Which only means , the color may not last as long. As the technician did this in front of me . Whatever it maybe it was too late for me to turn back . I was seated in a massage chair that doesn't work. That really didn't bug me too much. My technician was barely doing much with the pedicure . It felt as through she sprinkled some hot water and took old sponge and rub my foot. I was bit irritated but what can you do. I felt uncomfortable to bring the issue . The technician kept looking at me to see if I am watching her . As that factor determined her efforts. I did question the sanitary level of the place. Not that's it was disgusting but I definitely had and seen better. I didn't feel too comfortable with their tools . However , the technician did remove all of much of cuticles. And she was friendly so that's why I gave the two stars. Personally I wouldn't return . Oh yes , More importantly it caused about $25 for a Mani and pedicure. read more

*sigh* I came here because I forgot to make an appointment to my regular place!! I usually like to provide businesses with the benefit of the doubt. But this place really is terrible. It didn't feel/look very sanitary, and the lady that did my manicure did a mediocre job. Paid $5 extra for a "spa pedicure" but honestly their "spa pedicure" is a regular pedicure everywhere else. She also scratched me when trying to scrub my feet. Ouch! Needless to say, I won't be going back. Lesson learned!! This place has its pros and cons, more cons than pros though. The place I usually go to was closed And I really needed a mani and pedi. I walked in and the girl at the front told me to choose my color and they'd get started right away. I asked if they take debit cards and she said yes for a percentage fee. I didn't like that. I'm sure many people pay with cards for them not to charge the fee. That's a con. I was sent to the chair for the pedicure. This was one of the worst experiences that I've ever had while getting a pedicure. First they ask which one you want they have a basic pedicure which since my feet aren't bad I agreed to. No way I was going to spend unnecessary money. Well I guess at this place you get what you pay for. The woman was done in 15 minutes. She didn't do a good job cleaning my cuticles at all. I wear flats to work and sometimes my pinky toes get chaffed and they dry skin on them. She didn't even remove it, like they do at the other place I go to. Another thing is that the massage chair was shaking so much that I had to turn it off and couldn't enjoy a quick massage As far as the gel manicure the good thing is that they use good brands of polish like OPI & Essie. But their prices are a bit more so you're paying for the better brands. The other good thing is that the lamp to cure your nails is in these hidden areas within the table so it's not uncomfortable as you dry your nails. Other places have one small lamp on top of the table that's kind of awkward to put both hands in comfortably. I don't think I would go back unless it's an emergency and not for a pedicure ever! read more

The lady that did my nails while my toes not only did she rush she squeezed each toe she filed she didn't clean it properly nor did she scrub it and when I told her that she needed to scrub it more she give me an attitude she took the scrubber just lightly touched my feet and that was it she didn't file my nails nicely and neatly nor did she cut it properly my nails are all different shapes and sizes at this point and when she did the gel nail polish she brushed and there's nail polish all on my skin and around my toes I was supposed to do my hands there but I was like no if you're going to be in that profession you should at least have some type of courtesy and manners you shouldn't be doing stuff aggressively rough literally shoving my feet in the water shoving my feet pulling my feet. Not the best nail salon I've been to but it will do. Cheap and quick which is a bonus but not much else. Asked them a question about getting a gel done but it seems as though I was speaking a different language, luckily my cousin was around to talk me out of it. The service has defintely gone down hill with the new hires. Last few times my manicure has not lasted even a week. My mom can attest to the fact that her acrylic nails are mediocre, midaligned and crack easily. Regular spa pedicure is horrible unless you get the guy or one the workers who has been there a while. Hey everyone just wanted to give a heads up about his place! It wasn't my first Choice but it was a Sunday and most places are closed. I just left not even 10 minutes ago. The mani pedi was 20 bucks I usually pay 25 not much difference I didn't think much of it. I'm not in my neighborhood Or my usually go to spot, which is Sunnyside nails. The lady who we are going to say supposedly took care of me was short stout with a mushroom hair cut. She did not put any effort into taking care of my nails. I ended up with pictures that you see here of my nails not cut properly and skin that needs to be removed all over. My toes fared no better! She at one point even was almost nail filing my finger I quickly pulled away and told her what she was doing. She then gave me this mean look as if I did something wrong to her. I was courtesy anyhow and gave her a 4 dollar tip rest assure I will never go to this place again nor will I recommend it to anyone! RUN AWAY DONT WAATE YOURE MONAY AND TIME! P.S. This place is the epitome of the phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover!" With an array of colors and very reasonably-priced services, there's not much to complain about. The staff is always very friendly and I have yet to receive a bad manicure or pedicure here (they're great at treating in-grown nails!) A manicure only costs $6 and a pedicure is $10... but DEFINITELY "splurge" for the $15 spa pedicure-- such a treat! Be sure to ask for a customer card-- 10 services entitles you to a FREE spa pedicure. I am hesitant to give Judy Nails 5 stars due to their location; sometimes parking is tough and there are often many undesirable characters pacing up and down Jamaica Avenue! Everytime i come in Wendy asks me how i am, she's a peach. Judy is super nice and a great boss. The guys are quiet but very nice. I went back. I gave this place a second chance and it definitely wasn't worth it. I had a different person do my mani/pedi this time and she completely butchered my cuticles. I was bleeding on 6 fingers and 2 toes by the time she was done. My cuts burned for days. I had my nails done hours before a flight to Miami and my fingers burned every time I wanted to take a swim at the beach. I went to get acrylic nails done on Saturday, and by Tuesday the acrylic was cracking and my cuticles were terribly dry and peeling. My nail beds were achy due to the dryness.
