early is on time and on time is late. i scheduled a 9:30 appointment before work and the tech still wasn't there at 10. i was there at 9:20. i know things happen, but if you take public transport you should really be giving yourself some extra time to still be on time regardless of bus/train delays. i could have booked with a different salon and actually had gotten my nails done but instead i had my time completely wasted, not to mention the fact that i woke up earlier to make my nail appointment before heading to work. not everybody has a free day off on saturday and even if they do it's still very inconsiderate to not be punctual. read more

Quick Summary: Made me wait 30 minutes. Base color is way off. A few of the nails have dips and bumps on them. Design was originally sloppy. Over priced for the quality. First off, made me wait 30 minutes. They weren't busy. Maybe understaffed, but I could've come back the next day. I was a few minutes from walking out and I wish I would've. I asked for basically french tips, but with the line curving around to the bottom of my nail (I will attach a picture of the reference vs what I received). The result was just less than fine. I was charged $75 for less than fine. To give the owner (or manager) credit, she was willing to "fix" them, but she gave me BACK to the SAME tech that did them the first time. She then explained the price, saying that each "nail design" is $5, which makes sense, but what I got are french tips. I used to do nails on occasion, and what I had done should take very little time & effort so that explanation didn't really help. I've also been getting my nails done for many many years now and know that usually french tips are not as expensive (because they're generally easy to do). The owner also showed me a picture of a different customer's nails saying that her fill had been $120 because of the design. The picture she showed me did look great, but the design was intricate and beautiful (looked like fine china plates). Why I paid a similar amount for a line on each nail is beyond me. Again, I will attach a picture, they look kinda okay. I am still pretty upset, obviously. It's my birthday in a day and I wanted to look nice. In summary, it would be good to make sure that you're providing a service that is worth the cost. If my fill gonna be $80, which is the cost of a new set btw, I'd like there to not be any bumps or lumps where the actual acrylic or top coat were put on poorly. I should've confirmed the price, that is on me. It's just pretty frustrating to come to be loyal to somewhere for 4-5 months and have a result like this. Will be finding a new salon. Edit: I forgot to mention that the tech cut into one of my cuticles with the drill. Last time I was cut at this place, it got swollen and hot. Hoping that it doesn't happen this time! I know that the drills move fast so this happens time to time. I did mention it to the owner before I checked out, she gave me an alcohol wipe, but no discount or anything like that. read more

Looks nice but it's literally trash! I had such a horrible experience. I got booked with someone a few days before. I get to my appointment and it's not the same person. The person that was doing my nails had no clue what she was doing ! She glued my finger to hers. She apologized for some of the smallest mistakes because she isn't paying attention. She hired someone to basically test out on people. That's not right! The pricing is outrageous based on the service that you receive. I was in the chair getting my same nails done from 11am-3pm. OUTRAGEOUS. I kept having to tell the nail tech what to do. Save your $$ and don't come here no one is a professional in there. Well I wouldn't recommend this place ever. The lady who owned the place said it's 5 stars and it clearly should not be. There's only 1 or 2 experienced workers. The woman who did my nails cut them shorter than I wanted and they were cut so badly. On top of that she cut me badly and it's my birthday weekend. The cut still hurts and I work with kids and it's a bad spot to put a band aid. I said sorry no I need someone else to finish the job. What I wanted could not be done with the way she cut my nails so the other lady who did my nails recommended I soak them if I wanted it to look nice costing me an extra $15. I was charged $100 for the nails and she let me slide for the $15. For $100 the nails should be finessed but they are not. Stones already came out. To top it off I was there for 4 hrs killing my time. I needed a pedicure done as well but I refused to see the damage that would come with that. Another customer complained about her nails as well and the owner said people get mad when they have to pay and I wanted to be like no they get mad when the job is poorly done. The owner also told a customer that I said I wanted to dye my hair to black and said a whole story about that and all I said to her is how much would you have charged me to dye my hair. I don't like liars. It was also loud and the lady doing my nails said how it's loud and people outside would think fighting is going on. I agree nail salons shouldn't be so loud because it looks unprofessional. Also the lady doing my nails, a Spanish older lady with blonde hair made all of my nails lumpy with close view you can see how lumpy they are as if she's learning how to do nails, which is crazy because she said she's experienced. I came here excited thinking this would be a luxury experience based on the pictures I saw online. I've been searching for minority businesses to support, sadly this was the worst my nails have ever looked. Not the experience I was hoping for. Pros: Beautiful shop. Has potential to be great if managed correctly. Cons: Unsanitary Unprofessional The nail tech I had was really rude and did a poor job on my nails. My nails had holes from the top coat being applied poorly. Very time consuming, took over two hours to do a manicure. It normally take one hour. My nails had stains in them from the products the tech used, her products were contaminated. She also doesn't sanitize her products properly after each client. When I asked if she was going to fix the color discoloration she said obviously with attitude then proceeded to be rough with my nails. I got nicked a couple times, she also didn't fix the concerns I had. Her other client showed up and then she starts bad mouthing me to her in Spanish saying I'm the reason why she's running late and other nasty things. I didn't say anything, I'm guessing she didn't know I understood Spanish. I don't think I've ever felt so uncomfortable receiving a service before in my life. The whole time I was trying to think of an excuse to leave but I didn't want to offend anyone in the beginning and by the end I just wanted to get it over with so I could go somewhere else to re do my nails. I walked in with 2 friends on Saturday at 1:00 pm for mani/pedis and was immediately welcomed by the owner. We all had equally good experiences but can definitely recommend Claudia, who is very meticulous and from what I hear does amazing nail art. The décor is cute, and I especially liked the Boxed Barbie collection which tapped into my childhood nostalgia. The salon is owned by a young Latina entrepreneur (support minority women owned businesses!!!!) who is very friendly and welcoming, the prices are very reasonable. They also accept Apple Pay. Traumatizing (and I don't use that word lightly) experience. This is also my first and only review ever because I've never had something like this happen. I'm a very understanding person when it comes to customer service. Firstly I'd like to say I went here for the first time 3 weeks ago and had an amazing experience. I'd been searching for my new place to go and thought I'd found it. The nail artists all seem very nice and talented. I loved my manicure so I booked my next one with them as well. I decided to try nail art because the CEO/ owner Shameeka showed me pictures of her artists' work while I was there and it looked amazing. I called to make an appointment for myself for a gel manicure with nail art and a separate regular mani for my boyfriend. They called me back to double confirm the nail art, took a $25 deposit, and had a whole text thread with me to discuss the art I wanted and whether I had gel on my nails currently. I show up on time for my 6:00 appointment with my boyfriend and apparently the only person who can do nail art is not available because she's working on someone else. I was okay with waiting for a few minutes because I know salons can be backed up and I get that. Meanwhile, my boyfriend gets his manicure and half an hour goes by. I ask Shameeka if someone can at least begin removing my gel polish. She seemed annoyed about it and then about 10 minutes after, stuck my hands in bowls of acetone instead of using foils and then never came back to check on me... about 10-15 mins later I was afraid my nails were getting damaged so I took them out and all of them were folded inward. My boyfriends manicure was finished and the nice artist that did his offered to take my gel off (but she still wasn't the one who was able to do my manicure). I told her I appreciated her but also how I was nervous that is was then 7:15 and nobody other than her had really helped me yet. At 7:20, Shameeka asked whether or not I was going to wait for the manicure and told me the artist still had a pedicure to do AFTER the manicure that was still happening ahead of me and then it would be my turn. By then I'm sure it would've been at least 8:00, two hours after my appointment time. I said I couldn't wait that long and that I'd just have to leave and then she tells me I owe her $15 for the gel soak... when the first time I went she only charged me $5! I asked if there's any way I could not have to pay because the whole thing was pretty inconvenient to say the least, she gathered the attention of the whole salon and screamed "WAIT, YOU DONT WANT TO PAY FOR YOUR SERVICE?" over and over to embarrass me. She starts to make things up like she didn't know there were 2 appointments, she wasnt aware I needed gel taken off as well, blah blah blah. All lies and all I have proof of in writing. Not a single ounce of sympathy or apology for anything. I'm a very non confrontational person and have a lot of social anxiety so I was internally panicking and just gave her my card and kind of blacked out lol. My boyfriend argued a little but it wasn't worth it because she just kept yelling. I paid, took my card back and ran out of the salon and just cried. I work in customer service and still have never been spoken to like that. It was awful and my hands still shake thinking about it 2 days later. My roommate called later that evening to try to get me a refund because she saw how much of an affect it had on me and Shameeka first hung up on her and then when my roommate called back was just as rude to her as she was to me. She couldn't keep her story straight, first saying I was 15 minutes late to my appointment (Not true at all) and then when that didn't work said that a gel soak off takes 45 minutes (anyone who's ever gotten one knows that's not true, plus I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time and had to beg to even get that service). She said I was impatient and her only excuse was that they were busy, but then what is even the point of making an appointment. Sorry this is so long, but I truly just don't want anyone else to have to experience this. But not all that glitters is gold, I walked in to this "shop" back in January to get a dip powder set.. Waited maybe half a hour to get my nails done that wasn't a problem I've waited longer.. My issue was the lack of customer service, The "owner" Shameeka was much more worried about a celebrity coming in so she literally could care less that I sat in a chair for almost 6 hours getting my nails done.... lol long story short, don't waste your money here.. Instagram is a liar, she's much more worried about how her "shop" looks on Instagram than actually satisfying her customers in real life...
