Probably one of the worst service I've received. I'm from OC/LA and I think we have some of the BEST nail salons. Being here in NY has always been a mission to find high quality work. I came here with detailed requests but READY with photos and she did nothing like I asked. I got a french pedicure. I showed her a picture and asked her if she had the same base color, she went on a different spectrum. I told her I wanted a really square shape, she disregarded that. And what annoyed me is she didn't even clean under my nails! She gave me literally a one minute massage because she was trying to rush out and go home. They charged me $30 more than I do at home for literally MEDIOCRE work. When I tipped her (decently but also didn't have to) she didn't even look at me or say thank you. It was pretty damn rude. I ended up going home and cleaned under and filed my own damn toes! Would not recommend this place! read more

The nail tech was friendly, though the lines weren't quite as precise as I'd hoped. The complimentary shoulder massage when you are drying your nails is fairly quick but to be expected. One of the reasons I chose this salon was because they advertised free Wi-Fi, so I planned to get some work done during my pedicure. I went in for a regular pedicure and SNS nails, and while they did a good job on the nails, as I was going to leave, I asked if my toes were dry or if I could give it more time. I was told they were fine. She then proceeded to wrap the tops of them in saran wrap, and by the time I got home, as you can see in the picture below, they were completely ruined. When I called to ask if I could come in to have them fixed, they told me to come back tomorrow and that they were closing soon. I made it clear I left early in the morning for my sister's bachelorette, and now I have paid $$$$ just to have my nails ruined when I could have gone probably anywhere else for better quality. Shocked with all the great reviews. This place sucks. Went in for a quick manicure and it was sloppy. The lady was rushing because they were closing in an hour. She also made a mistake and brushed against my nail and it got on her arm. Her attempt to fix it was horrible. Then I was rushed out and my nails were barely dry. She put some oil on my nails which left a muddy texture to them. Don't bother going here. read more

This is my second time at Colome Nails. My first visit, I had a great manicurist who was kind and detail oriented. I did a dip powder and she examined and made sure my nails were even and perfect. I told her, "I've never had someone examine my hands as thoroughly as you". (I wish I knew her name). This visit I had Judy and she did exquisite work. She was sweet, helpful, and informative. She ~literally~ held my hand through the entire process. As someone who is a reformed nail/cuticle biter with psoriasis, I've always been very self conscious about my hands and although my hands have gotten better I still get very nervous and insecure with getting my nails done. This nail was a treat myself reward for myself and hand care journey. I booked an appointment for a gel manicure here after seeing decent reviews on Yelp. I asked for the pattern below which ended up costing me around $73 ($40 base + $30 for the design). My technician, Katrina, was super sweet. She must've been able to tell I was Chinese because she started speaking to me in Chinese haha but I honestly love that. We were chatting about the World Cup throughout the session. As my nails were under the UV, she gave me a free shoulder massage which really nice. Then as I was checking out, she also gave me a free lotion! Stay away from this salon! As someone who patronized this business for a few years and dealt/ tolerated their lackadaisical, inconsistent and rude behavior. My advise is to stay away from here if you want HEALTHY NAILS in the long run. In addition, They are rude, not loyal to their clients, very dodgy with their pricing and gossip about clients in mandarin during sessions. Sometimes they're good, other times, I've had to consistently babysit Wendy, during an appointment to avoid the gel lifting and me coming back for a fix. I'm very particular with my nails, I get them done every two weeks. That is a lot of money to spend biweekly so I should be extra picky about where I spend my $$ You book an appointment here and most times you have to wait or she leaves you half way to attend to other clients or to pick the calls. An hour appointment becomes 3 hours. They offer no apologies, but Wendy had the nerve to tell me when I complained- "except you're going to the airport and missing a flight, I don't understand what the rush is" what a cruel and insensitive disrespectful person who shouldn't run a business. So many other complaints I could write here, but I think y'all get the point. I can't count how many times my Partner said to me to find a different salon as I'm always unsatisfied with their services, and how rude they are but I am loyal, and I tend to give businesses benefit of the doubt and chances, and to be fair I was lazy to have to search for another salon, However this business doesn't appreciate or respect customers it's all about the money and not longevity or building lasting relationships. I've been to this salon twice and it's been amazing!! The manicurists are so kind. The two times I've been there they say hello (rarely happens at other places) and invited me to sit right away. Even though literally every technician was working with a customer, I was quickly checked in, and given a selection of colors to choose from while I waited. They are very straightforward with their pricing, which I appreciate. not all salons will give you an exact price before working on your nails, especially when you want designs added. Note that if you want to pay with credit card, it is a few dollars more.
