WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! (Long, Detailed Review)
----------------
Please save your coins and do not go here!!! My nail technician did NOT know what he was doing and cut me multiple times!!! My services included a gel manicure and gel pedicure on August 1, 2024. He barely did a good job on my feet (see pictures), and another technician had to take over my gel manicure. My technician's name was ANDY, please do not go to him!!!
I received an open cut in the corner of my big toe during the gel pedicure (see pictures). His nail file was on a very high speed, and he was very harsh with the cuticle snippers (practically digging into my cuticles). I told him to be gentle with the cuticle snippers multiple times. He put a green solution (supposed to have alcohol in it) and kept saying sorry.
Then I got up to get my nails done. His nail file was also on a very high speed, and it was burning my nails. I told him to slow the speed down multiple times. I saw that he cut me AGAIN, and I was bleeding near my ring finger nail on my left hand. Then I asked to see the manager. After a nail technician pointed out random technicians and said they were the manager, I finally got the manager.
I told the manager/owner of the store I got cut two times, on my big toe and finger, and that this is a safety concern and is very hazardous!! He only offered me a $5 discount. ONLY A $5 DISCOUNT, are you serious?!?! I could get infected!!!!!!
The technician continued with the gel manicure and started doing a very sloppy job with my nails. Before curing my nails, I looked at it and saw some nail polish on the skin and around the perimeter of my nails (unacceptable). I pointed out his mistakes, he wiped around my nails with his nail (which is also unsanitary), and I would look again, and it would STILL look SLOPPY! He got frustrated and wiped the ENTIRE layer of nail polish off COMPLETELY! This happened multiple times and delayed the ENTIRE gel manicure process.
At this point, I was frustrated, and he was frustrated. Another technician was watching and stepped in to finish my gel manicure. It was basically closing time, and everyone was leaving. The female technician knew what she was doing, had great technique, comforted me, and redid the incomplete and sloppy job the first technician did. She did an excellent job and I was relieved!! Her name is YOYO. THANK YOU, YOYO! Meanwhile, my first technician got his bag and left to go home!!! No apology or anything!!!!
Today, I looked at my fingers and discovered I had more cuts than I initially thought. They didn't show at first and I had no bleeding during the manicure process, however, today I discovered I was cut on my left middle finger and right ring finger (see pictures), which is a total of 4 TIMES in total as opposed to the initial 2 TIMES.
The service was $76.00, with a $5.00 discount coming up to $71.00. I decided to still pay for the service even though I shouldn't have paid AT ALL and also left a $5.00 tip to YoYo. Totaling up to the original amount of $76.00. They attempted to make it up to me by also offering a stamped card that would give me $5 off my next nail appointment. Aht, TOO LATE!!!!!!!!
In conclusion, I had a horrible first impression of this place, and it was the worst experience I EVER had with a nail salon in general. I was very stressed and left with multiple cuts (see pictures), which is extremely hazardous. I was fooled by the beautiful, luxurious, and new interior/space and thought I would receive a great, top-notch experience. Please do your due diligence on new salons, especially if you are going there for the first time. read more
