I wish I would've spared myself the annoyance! I went to get my nails done last minute. I didn't really have many options as other places were busy this was The only place with No wait and I understand why because they have zero quality service and you can barely make suggestions on your preference of nail care. I asked VIVIENNE to please use the nail buffer instead of the drill and she stared at me and buffed my nails so hard with a bothered attitude. Her attitude after that was disgusting. Okay so I been coming here for a while now and I'm not the type of person who leaves reviews but I feel obligated to warn people about the services at this place not only did my nails start falling off and lifting after only 5 days when I went to explain this to them. She was really rude and disgusting towards me, in front of my children who later asked why was she being mean. Instead of her fixing them like I asked she roughly ripped off the nails with a metro card and took off my real nail in the process and threw my money at me as if I had did something wrong. I remember when this nail salon first opened. I would come here very often to the point that the employees knew my mother and I. However, lately o feel like the service factor had gone down tremendously. I'm not a picky customer. I just like my nails to be done nicely since I am paying for it. My last experience here, I was telling the nail tech that the design was crooked before she finished but she insisted that "this isn't the final design" which I knew but I knew the ending result would not come out right. Low and behold I was correct. I left disappointed. I've been getting SNS for a while now and I want to say the last 3 times that I've had it, it has chipped within a week of having it which shouldn't happen. I feel as though better quality work could be done if they did appointments only because once they see walk ins and crowds they go from seeing you as a customer to just seeing dollar signs. A pedicure shouldn't take 10-15 minutes. You should be able to soak your feet and actually relax. My mother also had a bad experience here. She gets a basic mani/pedi and twice she's gone in and no one wanted to do her nails. Made it seem like since it wasn't a big costly customer that they didn't want to be bothered. Unbelievable. I recently moved to BK and I was looking for a nail salon that had reasonable prices and great customer service like I'm used to. AJ is that place! I've been here a few times and it's never overly crowded. It's very clean. I've gotten a pedicure and they use a bag in the foot basin and gloves. The chair also massages while you do your pedicure and you control it. I'm not sure about the type of nail polishes they use because I always bring my own but they do acrylics neatly and they last for a while without lifting read more

I wanted to remove the my gel mani & do clear polish on top because I didn't feel like having colored nails at the time. So why in the world did she file my nail bed to make soaking faster? I was left with scratched ugly looking nails because of this. She shouldn't have done that since she knew I wasn't going to have a color on top to disguise it. Also, they charged me $5 for soaking off my existing gel manicure and then another $8 for a manicure, even THOUGH I told them I did not want color. I basically paid $13 to have my gel manicure buffed off my nails & soaked. I guess they considered putting clear coat on top before I left as the manicure part. I MIGHT consider going back because it's conveniently located and will hope for better service. They are clean and reasonably price if actually providing the correct service, but I didn't experience this. But it could have been a bad day and/or technician. I'll update review if I ever go back. I've gone to many other places and all the boroughs, his ombré is really good but the main thing for me is he makes the strongest acrylic nails in the five boroughs, you won't break it unless you're breaking your whole finger. I never write a negative reviews but in this case I have to because nowadays money is not easy to obtain. The lady on the second chair was the one who "took care" of me. First, she was pushing and pushing to make me do gel instead of regular. I kept telling her that I have an appointment with the lady that always do my nails I just needed something last minute because I had an event. Well, after I told her no she did the most horrible service I ever received in my life for nails. I paid 12 dollars extra for design. She did the design so horrible and bad finish. She doesn't know how to do nails at all. Plus she treated me really bad because I didn't want to do gel . The service was not cheap at all either. I paid 40 dollars and she was so upset because I didn't want gel . The most important part was how horrible she did my nails. I don't think she should be doing nails at all. I had to keep telling her where to paint my nails. She was living spaces. I just want you guys to be aware because what's is bad for me is bad for other too. We all one ! read more

Terrible nail salon. This is my second experience at this salon and I will not be returning . The first time I came with my cousin and the manicurist who did the paint job made her wait 30 minutes purposely to correct a nail that the manicurist messed up. It was a full blown argument between the lady and my relative . So unprofessional and intentional poor service. Today I returned for a full set since they were completely empty (should've known better on Valentine's Day) . Three people free and they made me wait for the only busy person. She ,like every other salesperson would not stop trying to upsale which bothered me because this is my first full set and did not want anything special. Secondly I guess since I was only paying for a basic full set she did a terrible job. A full set that takes 30-45 minutes she completed in 15 minutes . I told her it was terrible too fat and too wide , square look like rectangles and she said it's cause my fingers are big. I'm reporting them to the bad business bureau because not only did she not want to remove the nails she contested my opinion and like last time would've put on a fight for a refund. Worst shop in Brooklyn need to shut down . Treat black people terrible and they in a 100% minority neighborhood read more
