These guys replaced a huge piece of storefront glass at my business in Oakland. They came out and measured and then fabricated my glass and returned and did a great job of replacement. They were very careful not to damage my other windows and left the site cleaner than when they got there. They were about 25% less expensive than the other quote I got as well. Call NJ at MAZ and he will take care of you! read more

I couldn't be more thrilled. Maz Glass were quick, professional and very affordable. They'll be my first call for any future glass needs. read more

MAZ Glass - Glass & Mirrors Near Me - Oakland, California

We just had our patio door glass replaced by Maz Glass in our Danville home. We had a great experience with their service and people. The crew arrived right on time and was incredibly professional throughout the process. A huge shoutout to Efran, Miguel, NJ, and the rest of the team for the excellent and quality work. If you need to replace or install windows and doors in the SF East Bay, we highly recommend contacting NJ at Maz Glass. He ensures the job is done right at a very fair price! read more

No. They were wildly over-priced. I am a glass artist, so I took the piece home and will repair it myself and mail it back.

They came out quickly (within 1.5 hr), cleared out a broken patio door, all the glass shards, etc. Removed the door frame, brought it back to their shop, and was back in 3 hr installing it. Not the cheapest, but a fair price and the only shop that could do it that day. Everyone else quoted several days to order glass, etc. read more

These guys were great to work with. They were very responsive to emails and texts and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. Our table top is beautiful and it came hand delivered. read more

We had a wonderful experience with and HIGHLY recommend MAZ Glass. The company was very professional and responsive. We are very pleased with the finished product. The project manager, Jose is top notch and was a pleasure to work with! read more

We chose MAZ glass to add a glass railing for safety. They were very quick to respond with a quote through text after I gave measurements of the project area. They sent out their contractor and coordinator to measure stuff and order them once we approved the quote. Install happened within a week and it was very quick. I'm very happy with the outcome. read more

The business is very responsive and attentive as they provided a work quote quickly. They are cordial and efficient.

We had an AMAZING experience with MAZ Glass. From start to finish, they were incredibly prompt and professional. From receiving the quote, scheduling the technician for glass measurements, ordering and having the glass available, to scheduling the installation was a breeze. They even accommodated the tight schedule we had for the install. We highly recommend MAZ Glass for your glass replacement needs. Thanks again, MAZ Glass. Wonderful job! read more

Maz glass is amazing! They were so helpful ans accommodating! Ask for Kevin he provides the best customer service. I was referred to them by another friend who also had a wonderful experience! read more

my car window decided to fall last Friday night so I had to find a place close by to get it fixed. I Yelped and found this place. I came in at 11:00 a.m. and apparently they close at 12. The guy was accommodating and took a look at my car right away. In less than 5 mins, he explained and showed to me what happened and told me that I need to get my window replaced. Even though he said it'll take 30 mins to get it done, it was done in 15 mins. I like the fact that he explained and demonstrated to me how the window thing works and what to do to maintain my windows. read more

My 9 year old car decided it didn't want to roll the driver side window back up (a day before storms decided to roll through the Bay Area) and I wasn't ready to start growing mushrooms under my seat, so I decided to make a trip to Maz. I gave a call to the nice folks there on a Saturday (always a good idea since you never know what needs to be done) and they told me to roll on by. The owner was nice enough to tell me ahead of time that if I was a previous customer, that they had moved down the street less than a mile, and in which direction. How thoughtful! I appreciate people that pay attention and are considerate. I told them what was going on, and after taking a quick look at it they told me it would only take about 20 minutes. a brief 15 minutes went by before they informed me my window was back on track! I paid a small fee and they told me if I ever had any more problems with it, to just come back anytime. Thanks Maz for always being so quick and efficient, for being so easy to work with, and doing such a great job. read more

9:30pm last night in SF, discovered my Honda CR-V rear quarter window was smashed. Didn't matter that it was parked in front of the Unitarian Universalist Church, btw. Called several glass shops around the area and near my work in SF. All quotes said it was the most expensive window to replace and estimated over $300 to fix. Called MAZ at 9am to check if they had my part; he found a deal for an after-market window and charged $225 no tax. Brought my car in and got my smashed window (and windshield!) replaced. I waited at Mama Buzz a short walk away, until it was ready to pick up, all shiny and new, at 12:30. Great service! FYI: trust the Google Maps on this one; the satellite pics are old. The shop is clean and spacious, and looks new since they recently moved in. Plus, they have a humongous framed picture of Carter the Great--similar to the one in Flora. read more

Note to self: don't park car behind outfield next time. After a softball mishap and upon recommendation of a coworker, I set out to Maz autoglass to replace my "home-runned" windshield. The next day, I had a replacement for ~15% less than the price other shops had quoted (it wasn't an OEM part, but I've been happy with it so far..). The owner and staff were helpful and seemed to be well intentioned--I'll be back if any other sports-related misfortunes befall my vehicle (e.g., golfball to the tail-light or bowling ball through the sunroof). FYI: The shop just moved down the street closer to downtown Oakland, which I don't believe has been reflected on the website yet. read more

Some a**hole threw a rock through my living room window. I had to be at work, so I started calling "window installation" companies I found on Yelp once I got to work. I figured at worst, I'd have to let the window stay broken until I could coordinate a time for them to do an estimate. Well, the window installation company said they couldn't do repairs and recommended Maz glass. I called at about noon. They said they could be there in an hour! My mom went over there to meet them and they showed up when they said they would. Within an hour or so, the window was fixed! Having to spend money on fixing a window is never fun, but Maz Glass made the whole experience as painless as possible. read more

Big rock in the middle of the windshield on a roadtrip. Crap. I got a couple of quotes, but Maz was the lowest and the friendliest. I dropped off my truck and it was ready ONE HOUR LATER. I paid and hit the road. Totally painless. read more

I had a little imperfection on my glass after replacement... It was very distracting to the driver but hard to see. The owner of Maz took a look. Confirmed the blemish and said he could get a new one for an apt tomorrow. I am only available one day a week. So we set up an apt and I dropped the car off and was done very quickly while I waited around the corner. I do recommend Maz. read more

I used MAZ to put in some new windows after a burglary. They were very responsive, sent over two people to install the new glass and were very competitively priced. I would definitely call them next time. read more

This is a terrible shop, dishonest and won't back up their work. They replaced a broken windshield for me. Later during auto body repair they discovered a leak in windshield so I took back to Maz. They claimed to check it and couldn't find anything. I then had leaking into my car during heavy rains. Decided to take to another glass shop and they discovered the seal needed to be replaced and all is better. read more

So one night my window gets busted and of course I have to replace it eventually. Next to my workout spot in Emeryville/Oakland is Maz Shields. I go in and see what they can do as far as replacing my window (how much/ how long/ when) I believe I was speaking with the owner and he helps me immediately. He looks up the window and tells me that he can do it today because they do have that window in stock. Problem is that the delivery truck from Concord took off at 11:30 and it was already making its rounds... so he would have to wait for the next one to come around. I tell him its imperative that I get it done quickly as I have to be somewhere by 2. He calls his guy and they go back to retrieve my window and tells me he can have it done by 2. YES!!! that means I can go workout while its being worked on and then be able to head to class afterwards. It ends up being done by about 1:15 and I pay my fee and get on my merry way. Apparently I could have gotten a cheaper window for 250 elsewhere, but he assured me it would not be the same and match the other side. What he was offering was the OEM window that matches exactly what the Toyota dealership would have put on. The total for the access cab door window to be replaced was $375 even because he told me he would not charge me tax and that was the best he could do. It was only him and his installer and both were very professional. read more

I needed a piece of glass for a coffee table. I was quoted $85 by my local frame shop, $75 by Alba's Glass, and then Maz came in at $60. It was done in a day and picking it up was super easy and friendly. read more

AAA assisted with arranging ATA from Maz. Closed over New Years weekend but with an emergency both back windows broken in, so reassuring to have a first thing on Tuesday appt. AAA deductible paid and the rest handled without stress. Cleaned up the broken glass strewn throughout the car and confident it'll be repaired like new. Oakland has the need for shops like Maz as this is the second occurrence. read more

poor work. poor service. poor attitude. i had bought an old BMW and the weatherstripping around the front window was seriously decayed. i wanted to get it replaced before the first rain, and so i brought the car into MAZ and was told it would take a week to get the part. not soon enough for me, so, fair enough, i called around and found the part, brought it back to MAZ as the sky was clouding up, when asked how much it would cost, the 3 guys on site looked at each other mischievously and said $175. i reluctantly agreed because by then the rain had started, but it just hit me wrong the seedy way it was estimated. regardless, i come back to pick up the car a few hours later and notice that there is a sloppy amount of excess glue all around the windshield. i point it out and they begrudgingly get one of the guys to take care of it, i seriously didn't understand the attitude i was getting. i drive off in the rain, heading out of town, and there's water coming in from the windshield. i immediately turn around, bring it back, and am greeted with rolling eyeballs. again, attitude i don't understand. there was a crimp in the weatherstripping where it wasn't properly installed. an hour later i'm still waiting around and when i ask how much longer, the guy tells me it's done. it's been done for 15 minutes. uh. thanks for that. there was not a single customer there the entire time, so it wasn't like they were just crazy busy and i got lost in the shuffle. read more

I used MAZ for a custom, seamless shower enclosure. During installation, the workers cracked and chipped my brand new tile AND kept on installing. This delayed installation by a whole week which was already a whole week behind. I had no confidence in the installers as they appeared to be second guessing themselves. One commented that he had never done a custom installation before! I also paid top dollar which makes me sick to think about. Save yourself anguish and go somewhere else. read more

TLDR: Definitely definitely go with MAZ glass (5 stars for Mershad @ MAZ Glass) for any glass/window issues! I had a window bracket that was broken in our unit when we moved in, having put it off for a couple weeks while I sorted out other things- I figured it was time to get it taken care of. After running into a dead end with my HOA and the original contractors (building is about 13 years old), I reached out to several glazing companies and hands down Mershad @ MAZ Commercial Glass had the best customer service and follow up. While I gathered Mershad typically handles the commercial/large projects, he was the person who answered my call when I called in and he was very professional and worked with me to figure out what the issue was. He treated my "project" with care and thoughtfulness even though it was probably small beans compared to some of the others he's handled, I felt like I was in good hands working with him and that my problem was his problem. He followed up very quickly and while they did not carry the part I needed, he instructed me to order the part online and that he would then send someone out to install the part of us (what a freaking rockstar)! The part arrived and Mershad/MAZ Glass was so great about getting someone out to install the part. Followed up on when they would arrive and gave lots of updates. And he even mentioned that if we had any issues with the installed part, to let them know! I think MAZ glass & Mershad went above and beyond for their customer and would recommend them to anyone in my network! read more

If you should ever find yourself with a broken window after your car was broken into, this is the place to go in the Emeryville/ Oakland area. I was given an immediate quote by phone, went into their shop (they can also come to you) and i was in and out in an hour. Price was reasonable at about $170 total. The owner, Ata, made dealing with this issue a little less frustrating. Even after a break-in I'm still in a good mood! Thank you Maz Glass! read more

I first did business here in 2012 when I needed 12 mirrored kitchen cabinet facings. Since then, I've sourced many glass shelves and tabletops, some with bevelled and/or polished edges. Ive been pleased with. the work done. The last piece I had cut was a 2nd tabletop and more than 7' long. Atta, the owner insisted on delivering this free. The delivery was very well-orchestrated and professional and the delivery guy insisted bringing this on a convoluted journey through my building and making sure that it fit on the table exactly. Prices are very competitive (such that I don't look elsewhere anymore). Just be sure to be there or call by 4 as, despite what the posted hours may say, sometimes, it's closed well before 5. read more

Our car was broken into and we were able to get an appointment the same day. The money and time spent was worth it. They did a great job. You can't tell the window was replaced. I would recommend them. read more

Had a window in the house which was loose and the insulation was peeling off. Called them and they arrived the same day for a very reasonable estimate for replacement. Called several other places and they never followed up! Very responsive, and prompt service for scheduling installation, which took about an hour. I'm a fan! Couldn't ask for better service! read more

I've been going to MAZ since before they moved. My first visit was for my '54 Studebaker, next for several Nissan Sentras. They have always been pleasant, personable and efficient. Prices were fine and they HAD THE GLASS IN STOCK! Once, after a new windshield, followed by lotsa rain, i noticed the floor was collecting water. I took it back and the guy said, "Check your tail lite seals." I repaired the seals around the tail lites (nothing to do with the new windshield) and the water problem was gone! These guys get my top recommendation. read more

Went here on the rec of a friend when my windshield was randomly busted and needed to be replaced.. Top notch service provided here with a smile and excellent results. I had to get my windshield replaced and it cost more to pay my deposit through insurance than to have MAZ replace it out of pocket. I am very happy with the results, quality of work and service provided. They were able to get me in and out in less than a couple hours. Hopefully I won't have to get another windshield replaced, but if I do, I know I'll be headed right to MAZ Glass without hesitation. Thank you read more

Spent the night at my uncle's house in SF. Woke up to a broken rear window on my Honda. Called Maz Glass and they said they didn't have the part but would get it by the time I brought the car. I said I would be there in 45 minutes. They said no problem. I arrived and the manager was waiting for me and the part already arrived. Gave him the keys and within 25 minutes my new window was installed and I left. Amazing job! Would highly recommend! read more

Everything looks good, they vacuumed out all the broken glass and replaced my rear window for a great price. it was fast too i left it with them closing time yesterday and got it at 12 today. Their quoted price was accurate and they saved my gasket and me some money. Thanks MAZ! read more

MAZ installed windows and a shower door for the previous owner of a house we just purchased. Two of the windows have broken seals and the shower door is leaking. I called MAZ to ask them to come and look at it. We set a time, but they missed the appointment due to a sick worker. They called me about 2 hours before the scheduled time on the day of the appointment to cancel. We rescheduled the appointment. I had a conflict and had to call them to reschedule again. This time, the rescheduled appointment didn't get into their calendars and they missed the appointment again. Part of the communication problem is that everyone I spoke with has a thick accent which made communication difficult. I couldn't tell if they understood what I was saying. Based on the problems we're having with the windows and shower door installed by this company for the previous owner of our house, I would say that there are other companies out there that do better work and are easier to deal with. read more

These guys are fantastic! I came here after someone smashed my back two windows overnight. They fixed them up in only a few hours on the same day that I dropped my car off! Also the boss advised me not to use my insurance's deductible, thereby reducing my cost in over half! Going above and beyond, they also cleaned the back of my car of glass shards and made it completely spotless. Spectacular service! read more

So my day started with a shattered glass busted and items stolen from my car. Unfortunately, it was a saturday that I needed to go shopping for christmas gifts and I called several glass installers with no luck getting help immediately. I then called Maz and it was 5 minutes before closing and I told them my issue and they said no worries that they would wait for me to arrive and they would be able to install a new glass. Once I arrived they gave me the quote which was less than two of the quotes I had received over the phone. So of course I was thrilled. After a short wait I was on my way. To top it off they did not charge me tax. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge good work. read more
