I'm very disappointed with my experience. This company replaced an insulated glass unit (IGU) in a window prior to my purchase of the home. From the very first rainy season after installation, the window leaked from the interior corners. I have photos documenting the leak during that initial warranty period. The installer later acknowledged that the exterior perimeter of the IGU was never weather-sealed, yet claimed this was an "optional" service rather than a required part of the installation. As a result, the window allows water intrusion during wind-driven rain. When I contacted the company to resolve the issue, responsibility was repeatedly deflected to other parties, and I was told the warranty had expired -- despite the defect existing from the start. No reasonable effort was made to correct the incomplete installation, even with active leaks during the rainy season. I would not recommend this company if you expect proper weatherproofing, accountability, or support when issues arise. read more

We didn't know how to find a professional place to install a custom-cut tiny mirror to replace a broken one that was built into a tiny shelf of ours. Ace does big jobs so were reluctant to even ask about our small one, But within minutes of our requesting an online estimate, we got a response. Sure enough, Ace completed our small project within a day and the price was more than reasonable. They even sent us home with hardware so that we could re-hang the shelf! Wonderful service!! read more

Reached out to Alex in 2022 for a quote to replace double pane glass. He arrived and took measurements of the failed glass on the windows. Alex mentioned needing scaffolding for the replacement glass and not being able to source the exact low e glass tint for the replacement. Instead he recommended I reach out to other SF companies for quotes. I wish I called other reputable window and glass companies along the Peninsula first. I was able to find a solution with a window company in Burlingame. read more

Basically same day service for the price they quoted. Installers were great folks who even answered our basic questions. Not Oklahoma prices, but then we're in San Francisco.... read more

This company is a joke. I gave them all the dimensions and they gave me a preliminary estimate of $1700 and they said it will take 1 week to come out and actually estimate the job. Then they up the price $1000 still before coming to estimate the job. Honestly just a really frustrating company to deal with. Thanks for waisting 1 week of my time over nothing. read more

Bizarre. Asked Alex for a bid and he refuses to give me a bid because the shower pan is not installed. I sent him photos of a shower pan that IS installed. He continues to believe that I DON'T have a shower pan. It's like we live on different planets. Be careful with communication - this contractor clearly has poor communication. I have other bids from glass contractors and Ace glass was the only one that doesn't understand that my bathroom is ready for glass installation! read more

Quick response and efficient repair of old tricky large aluminum clad window! Good communication, kept in touch with updates

Alex was here not even 1/2 hr after I had contacted them. Someone threw a rock thru my front living room window and it needed to be fixed immediately. They fixed it within 24hrs even with my window being a custom size. Extremely efficient and clean, I highly recommend them. Price was also reasonable compared to other estimates read more

The crew led by the leader, Alex, well organized by Akhil, has done the most difficult job of heavy glass window-replacement on the 6th floor up, spent straight 7 hours tackling, successfully completed what needed to be done. I appreciate it very much on solving my problem of years. read more

Very professional company right from the start. Quality work and customer service, from start to finish job was exceptional. Highly recommend. read more

Truly unbelievable service experience. They came in BELOW their original estimated price. They completed the service without bringing me problems and challenges. And they finished efficiently and on-time. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT? I 100% recommend Ace Glass !!! read more

I can't believe how unprofessional this company is. I called and spoke with Alex on a Tuesday and asked for a commercial window replacement estimate that we needed a replacement for asap. He said he can do it the following morning as the place was right around the corner from where he lives and he would be able to give me an estimate that same day! I emailed him all the info and no reply! I called to see if he received it and the lady that answered specifically said he for sure got it. I gave it a couple of days and still no response from him so I called Thursday and he said he'll do it over the weekend. Ok, I patiently waited till Monday and still NOTHING!! Save your time and energy as this place sucks!! We ended up going with **J&D glass**. They were so professional and prompt. They came out the same morning that i called to take measurements and provided an estimate the same evening. Got the job done within a week, did an excellent job and was overall amazing!! read more

I needed 3 sets of double hung windows replaced at my restaurant. I had asked 3 different venders who each quoted prices at over 3 times the cost. Even with the slow lead times due to issues in the chain supply, they arrived quicker than estimated and installed immediately. I've had bad windows in the past with poor craftmanship. Not with Ace Glass. The attention to detail and the quality of the work provided exceeded my expectations. Thank You! read more

Wow. These guys RULE. I had one of the front windows of my Market street business broken and needed a quick fix. I called, got a quote, (it was super reasonable) called back, booked an appointment, two hours later the guys were there, an hour after that and a brand new window was installed. Amazing. There was great communication from start to finish, and they cleaned up after themselves (which literally never happens in these scenarios). My only complaint is that the window they installed is so beautiful that it makes my other three windows look ugly lol. Keeping these guys in mind for when I'm ready to replace those to match the great job they did on the broken window. read more

Provided a fake quote on the call for $300-$500. Once I brought my mirror into the shop I was quoted almost $900. The quote on the call, I provided dimension, and expected service (including pictures) which was consistent measurement so there was absolutely no reason why the quote would be almost double. read more

The glass of my entrance door to my business was vandalized last night. Called Alex at 7am, he was at my business by 8 and I had a new glass in my door by 10. Besides having to deal with broken glass everywhere, I also saw myself spending hours at the hardware store trying to make a makeshift plywood door for the meantime. (Alex actually laughed at me and said, you'll have your glass door latest by noon) Ace glass was professional and fast. Now let's hope I don't have to call them anytime soon again! But if I do, I will call Ace. read more

I had a kitchen window break while I was out of town. I had SF Ace Glass come out. I ended up asking them to change the glass packs out of my kitchen windows because they had decorative internal cross hatches. They ordered the glass and came out and changed the glass out in my vinyl windows. The change was amazing so I had them do my living room too. If you have windows with internal cross pieces in them you will not believe how much nicer non obstructed glass is. 5 stars. Thank you Ps in case anyone has been under a rock since 2020, the supply chain is borked and things take longer these days. Having said that Ace Glass was communicative and easy to schedule with. read more

No reason to call any other glass company, this is the best hands down. I'm still waiting for two other companies to 'get back to me' and the job was completed this am by Ace Glass. Excellent service. read more

Wendy does a really good job managing the office, and the customers. However, Alex stated one price on my tenants' windows, and then tripled the price when the quote came. By then, we had no other options since we booked the time with the tenants. He and his colleagues were 3 hours late on a 4 hour time window of time. This is after he cancelled the day before, one hour before he was supposed to be on site. All 4 men had mobiles, but not one thought to call Wendy or the customer. The work was passable. This is not the place if you want to be charged a fair price, or if you have a job or other time constraints. read more

The absolute Best! These people understand service! From Ray in the office to LeAnne in billing and the two installers Marco and Carlo. Fast, fair pricing and efficient. They are well over OUR price point for a small piece of tempered glass that will allow me to keep my cute cat shower curtain but provide protection from shower near the edges. (The shower curtain and liner are not always reliable). One appreciates that the work is probably about the same whether you need 12 in or a much wider piece. I will say that they get back to you when they say they will get back to you with an estimate. A bonus is that the shop, with friendly employees, is a few feet from Costco samples. read more

We needed to replace a broken door and Ace returned our quote request within a few days. This doesn't seem like a tall order, but several other places we called just couldn't bother despite repeatedly said they would (why??) The best thing about Ace is that when there was problem, they worked with us and offered more than one solutions to make things right. The owner clearly cares very much about the business reputation and they are extremely courteous when working with us. I can't recommend them more. This is an excellent local business and they really live up to the good old fashion of "standing behind our product" motto. read more

** Zero Star ** Straight forward review Alex show up Super late without any notice. Alex show up without wearing a mask.(it was very uncomfortable talking with him even i make 6 feet away from him) Alex told me that office will call me for a exact estimate, it's been more than 9 days..no one calls me for a update. Alex got really bad attitude. I called couple of other shops, and entire my whole life, never experienced anything like this before. Even my 66 years dad laughed at him. Alex is really bossy. You don't tell him what to do he tells you what to do. read more

Alex and the ladies at ACE glass have saved our butts more than once (more than twice, honestly). After having our windows broke out at our business, Alex saved the day. Ace Glass - Shiny new windows! - Windows Installation Near Me - San Francisco, California

We've called upon ACE Glass two times. The first time, our neighbor's Realtor accidentally smashed a street level window and gleefully said "Don't worry, I'll pay for it" as he drove off. Save that for another review. ACE had me provide measurements and a picture over the phone and then Wendy went away for 10 minutes before calling me back to say "we'll have someone there by 5pm. The window was removed, repaired, replaced and the job cleaned up before our tenant ever got home. Price never seems reasonable for any of these type of emergency repairs, but not outrageous. This morning, someone tried to break into our garage via the window. I called ACE and they quickly told me they didn't think they had the material in stock, but--get this--referred to another place that would. I'm very happy with ACE and Wendy is super sweet. read more

Ace Glass and Alex tried to change the narrative - once again - trying to make themselves be the adult in the room. They failed customer service 101 - the ciient is ALWAYS correct. The spent 20 minutes writing a response making me look like an idiot that would not recognize the word complete job. I asked Alex 5 times for a complete estimate for installing my replacement window. He now turns around and tries to defend his service by pretending that he is correct about the HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL service they pretend to do. It does not require a 5th grade education to recognize fraud when you see it. AVOID yourself a headache and and being ripped off. Take your business anywhere but here. You will thank me later. read more

I called Alex today and had him estimate replacement of two of my windows that were originally covered by a lifetime warranty and had failed. The fair price would be about $1600. I was told the company that I bought them from was out of business and I mentioned that to him. He told me they were back in business and I should contact them for replacement. If they wouldn't replace them, call him back. How helpful is that?? I would trust Alex with any window needs in the future. What an honest guy! Thank you Ace! read more
