After spending many hours ferreting through multiple responses from various window replacement and…read morerepair companies, NONE of whom actually responded to my inquiries of repairing old aluminum windows, I finally got a response from someone who actually was able to address my specific needs. Andre of Medallion Glass and Shower Doors contacted me and told me that his company could repair existing old aluminum windows. More amazingly, he came to my rental property the very next day, sized up the windows and ordered the necessary parts. He then contacted me on the Tuesday after the weekend, informing me that the parts had arrived. The next day he showed up at the property at the agreed upon time with two coworkers. They proceeded to repair the 4 old aluminum windows, replaced several aluminum window clips to hold the windows open, constructed screens for two of the windows, and replaced a shower safety door sweeper. To be candid, in light of all the worthless solicitations I received from multiple window repair companies after having placed my inquiry on yelp, Medallion Glass and Shower Works was a breath of fresh air. Not only was Andre responsive, but he's pleasant to work with and clearly he and his fellow workers are extremely competent. I now have aluminum windows that slide up and down, stay up when they're open and a bathroom shower door sweeper that prevents water from running onto the bathroom floor. From the very first rainy season after installation, the window leaked from the interior corners. I have photos documenting the leak during that initial warranty period. The installer later acknowledged that the exterior perimeter of the IGU was never weather-sealed, yet claimed this was an "optional" service rather than a required part of the installation. As a result, the window allows water intrusion during wind-driven rain. When I contacted the company to resolve the issue, responsibility was repeatedly deflected to other parties, and I was told the warranty had expired -- despite the defect existing from the start. No reasonable effort was made to correct the incomplete installation, even with active leaks during the rainy season. I would not recommend this company if you expect proper weatherproofing, accountability, or support when issues arise.

My scheduled appointment was March 11th. 2-They left scratches, groves, foot prints and finger marks all over my freshly painted walls on the inside of my unit. Mind you I just moved in February. 1st. 3- They went through my house because I purposely closed 2 doors they did NOT need access to. And 4- I'm a woman who lives by herself...the toilet seat was left up when I got home! I assume they used my restroom. 5- They also don't clean up after themselves as I had to come home and sweep after 10 hours of work, delivering parcels all day. I feel like a bunch of kids were in my apartment horsing around.Shame on you! This review is based on a no contact visit at that.
