I had a very small job: just replacing the insulated glass unit in my bathroom window. The original one was frosted (makes sense) but it's the only room with a view of our backyard trees, and no one can see into it, so I wanted clear glass. Greg's Glass was willing to do it and they did a fantastic job. Easy communication, fast turnaround, quality work. Like any custom work, it wasn't cheap, but a very reasonable price for the work and every time I look out at my trees I'm so glad I did it! read more

Greg's Glass - The window balances fell off from a single-hung window and couldn't put them back. Do you have the experience and know how to fix it? - Windows Installation Near Me - San Francisco, California

Very good experience and great result! We had glass pans on a Marvin patio door shatter. The way the door is made requires the entire door to be replaced. Richard came out to look, and came up with a way to replace the glass only. The result is amazing, looks just like nothing ever happened. Thank you for the great work! read more

Got a good estimate. Went with a different contractor because we preferred that brand. Would still recommend Greg's .

One of our windows was vandalized and Greg's glass was one of the few businesses I reached out to who responded quickly and provided the competitive fair pricing. Highly recommend. read more

Amazing service!! Very professional, on time and exceeded my expectations!! A++++++++

Richard and team were awesome. Super efficient and our glass door looks great, thank you!

Excellent service overall! They came quickly to do the free quote and then order the screens for me and then install them about two weeks later. Very quick and efficient and well priced! And professional! read more

Richard was great to work with. He was quick to get back to me, quick with an estimate and able to schedule the window installation very quickly. The window looks great! read more

I called for an estimate and was told to call Richard. I called Richard over a half dozen times over the next few weeks to get the quote--he kept telling me the project was complicated and he needed more time. Greg's has high ratings so I wanted a quote but after two months of waiting, I went with someone else. The other companies gave me a price within a couple of days. Very unprofessional. read more

Sam was the one that helped fix our window. He did an amazing job and also really good price. Very professional, responsive, fast, and great customer service! I was very impressed. He was able to quote via phone and pictures which was great especially during our current environment with COVID. He even wore a mask while fixing our window. I highly recommend! read more

We had to replace a glass slate and part on our window and Sam was stellar! Greg is now retired so he referred us to Sam and we had a great experience. As you can see in our photos we have old windows and several places we called were looking to charge upwards of $1400 just to replace a glass slate that fell off since they didn't have the part and wanted to replace the entire window instead. Sam did it for $60 and we couldn't be any happier. It took some ingenuity and he went to get the glass custom made since no one had the specific slate in stock but I couldn't be happier with the fix! read more

Sam is the best. He has replaced two windows on my house now. The first was a front door, and this has held up to many years of door slamming. The second was a garage door, and I'm confident this will hold up as well. I'm very impressed with how knowledgeable Sam is when talking about glass. He is passionate about his work. Both jobs were replacements of obscurely patterned glass that hasn't been manufactured in decades. Sam went to great lengths in order to track down exact replicas. Highly recommended. read more

First, Greg responded very quickly to my call. I had a very small job but it was an important one. A pane in my 1920's door was shattered. Greg couldn't come but Richard did. He was prompt, courteous and did an amazing job. I felt safe with him doing the job. Go with these guys. You won't regret it!!! read more

Greg's Glass - Shattered window in a front door. - Windows Installation Near Me - San Francisco, California

Greg's Glass is superb and affordable. Greg showed up within 24hrs to measure two glass panes that we accidentally broke. Within 48hrs we got both panes replaced and fixed, as good as new. He made sure to replace them with antique glass (thanks San Francisco). Would recommend to others. read more

Movers broke a window pane in a 1920s house and I called Greg. He referred me to his business partner, Sam, who was great. Sam gave me an extremely reasonable estimate over the phone based on the photo I sent him. He replaced the window pane within 48 hours, very easy. I had called a different company in SoMa, as well, and their estimate was--no exaggeration--six times the amount Sam charged. Call Greg's Glass if you need a window repair, especially if it's for an older window. The repair process ended up being a lot less dramatic and expensive than I had thought it would be. read more

I just had an amazing experience with Greg. What a cool and professional guy, he knows exactly what he's doing .amazing what a great professional. I highly recommend, you can absolutely trust him. Thank you Greg read more

Like others Greg referred me to Richard. Richard was very communicative came out immediately measured the window. Even brought the price down when I realized it may be too much for me to change out. Great experience! read more

Greg is now retired but gave a referral to Richard Miranda. Richard was great. He installed a sliding glass door and it is beautifully installed. He and his worker did a great job. Thanks Greg for the referral. read more

Greg achieved in 2 hours what I thought would take nearly a week. My kids kicked a soccer ball through a window in our house, and I call a dozen window experts in town. None answer the phone. Granted, it's Sunday. Actually, it's SUPER BOWL Sunday, just a few hours before kickoff. Before throwing in the towel, I see Greg's yelp page and decide to give him a call. Preparing to leave a message and hoping he would call me back on Monday, he surprisingly picks up the phone. "Soccer ball through a window?" he asks? "What's the address? I'll be right there." Before Tom Brady had even thrown a pass, Greg had completely replaced the glass in the double hung single-paned window panel. I only wish I had called him first! read more

Great experience! Found Greg's glass on yelp after glass on my garage door was broken during a break-in. Sam, whom he referred me to, came straight out, provided options and fixed it within the day! He also left the garage cleaner than it was before!! read more

Greg is a personable, friendly, honest craftsman. He balances quirkiness and professionalism which makes it enjoyable to work with. This man loves his glass and will find the right piece for your needs. We needed glass panels replaced in our french doors and he spent the time to find antique glass from old windows that really made the door look amazing-he even thought about how the glass and light interact. Look no further for your glass needs. read more

Came same-day to help replace a broken garage door window pane and did the work perfectly, then helped schedule a follow-up to add plexiglass backing for additional security after we discussed it. Easy to work with and Greg knows his stuff! read more

Superb in every way, could not have had a better experience. Often goes above and beyond to make things as easy as possible. Awesome! read more

I had a broken bedroom window pane. My insurance agent suggested some local professionals. Greg was the first I called--he came out right away and gave an estimate that seemed more than fair. ( I don't mean higher than fair, I mean lower than I had expected!) Greg agreed to fix it the very next day. He'd have come in the morning, but I asked him for an afternoon repair. By the time afternoon arrived, Greg was completing another job, but he kept me informed of his progress. Upon arriving he started to work. He took out the double-hung bottom with broken pane & took it to install new pane. Returning, he re-installed it perfectly, like the pro he is. Competent, fair-priced and professional--Greg's the man I'd recommend for window repair and interesting conversation! read more

We are really pleased with Greg's work & his helper Sam. Greg is friendly, fun, and does excellent work at a great rate. We had a window accidentally broken by our cleaning lady's colleague. We love her. It was an accident. And she offered to pay. We got a few estimates because we didn't want her to have to pay and arm and a leg for some matching old glass in our old house's aged windows. Greg was so compassionate and he understood: we wanted to fix that window and another at the same time so we could lower the cost. He knows his stuff, pointed out some things that we will need to fix later (like old ropes) and he did a great job. He is thoughtful about potential mess and thinks ahead. Greg is an operation, really, of one. So if you can be flexible on timing, and you'll be around and don't need a really precise appointment, you cannot do better than him. If you are looking for a service where they have multiple employees so can schedule more tightly to honor your busy schedule, you may want to choose a different provider. For us, when we need glass work, we will always call Greg. read more

Greg is professional, competent, and a glass poet :) with a great sense of humor. He came in first to check what needed to be replaced (a broken small glass panel in a door) and gave me an estimate. Came back the next day with the glass and fixed it. I highly recommend Greg for any glass repair and a very interesting conversation. I had a fantastic experience. Thank you Greg! read more

True gentleman. He recommended another craftsman who does top quality work. He introduced me to him and we all sat around my kitchen table eating treats that Greg brought while discussing the work. Really! I kid you not. So I've been working with his recommendation, Edwin, ever since. Edwin will do one window at a time. No one does this, and that's why the working class can't always afford to keep these old homes up. Greg is your short cut to Angie's List. Lord knows you need it. I've been ghosted by many Real Estate agents and crafts people. I know the economy is booming. Greg will be here during the bust, cause his character is a step above. Thx Greg. read more

These guys are great - second time using them in the last 6 months. Sam is awesome! So nice, so quick, just great. First time was replacing a cracked window, second time to fix one of those rope window things. Excellent job! read more

Quick service. Excellent price. Garage door glass in stock by chance. So grateful I didn't have to wait longer.

Don't look past these guys and give them a call. I had an older single pane aluminum window needing a new price of glass. Called Greg who directed me to Sam and three hours later I've got my window back at a very reasonable cost. Would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Wow I've never met anyone so capable and prompt! Sam is my go-to guy for all repairs after using him to help fix a kitchen window and glass panel in a door. He did both quickly and correctly and cleaned up all of the glass etc. I asked him if he knew how to keep the window open and he fixed that for me too! Then I asked if he could help me with some doorknobs and he did an amazing job with those. Sam is the coolest. I don't know another repair person who shows up with a gift for your birthday but that's the kind of person he is. Actually looking forward to having him back because in an old house we have things that need to be fixed frequently. Don't even waste your time contacting anyone else! These guys have the BEST prices in the city and they usually have time the day of or the next day. So quick, so helpful and so KIND. We need more people in this world like Sam! read more

Sam is a life saver! We needed to repair our smashed ground floor window and found it was close to impossible to get someone out to help. Thankfully we were referred to Greg who referred me to Sam. He came a couple hours later and did an amazing job repairing our window for an unbeatable price. I highly recommend! read more

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about Greg's Glass. I called 10 other places in San Francisco for what should've been a fairly straightforward job. I won't go into details about the trouble I had interacting with the other places, but I will say I nearly gave up but fortunately have found Greg on Yelp. He came promptly to give an estimate and was very responsive to my needs. Richard, who did the work, did an outstanding job - he finished way ahead of schedule and under budget. If I ever have a window or glass job in the future, I know I will be IMMEDIATELY calling these guys! read more

Friendly, Quick & Reasonable. This review is for Sam who works with Greg. For same day service, Sam was at our apartment within 30 minutes of us calling for a quote. He took a look at our window, pulled it out, brought the window to his house (nearby), replaced the glass, came back and reinstalled it all within 2 hours. I would highly recommend this company if you're looking for great customer service, quality work, and competitive pricing. Thanks Sam! read more

Amazing service great value and couldn't be much happier with supporting neighborhood business

Other reviews are not lying - friendly, fast and efficient. Would definitely hire again!

Richard from Greg's glass did a great job in replacing the glass from my dual pane window! When I first called Greg he gave me Richards number and he came out that day to take measurements unlike other contractors who have you take pictures of your repair and text it to them. Reasonable price!!! Would recommend!! read more

Unfortunately, did not get the kind of response that others have experienced. Gregg referred me to Richard, whom I called and texted twice with pictures and asking if more info was needed for repairs to bathroom window. Richard never responded. It's been 2 weeks. Bad customer service in my opinion. read more

Greg and his crew were great. Responded quickly and set me up with an afternoon appointment on the same day as the call.
