We had to replace a glass slate and part on our window and Sam was stellar! Greg is now retired so he referred us to Sam and we had a great experience. As you can see in our photos we have old windows and several places we called were looking to charge upwards of $1400 just to replace a glass slate that fell off since they didn't have the part and wanted to replace the entire window instead. Sam did it for $60 and we couldn't be any happier. It took some ingenuity and he went to get the glass custom made since no one had the specific slate in stock but I couldn't be happier with the fix! read more

I had a broken bedroom window pane. My insurance agent suggested some local professionals. Greg was the first I called--he came out right away and gave an estimate that seemed more than fair. We are really pleased with Greg's work & his helper Sam. Greg is friendly, fun, and does excellent work at a great rate. We had a window accidentally broken by our cleaning lady's colleague. We love her. It was an accident. And she offered to pay. We got a few estimates because we didn't want her to have to pay and arm and a leg for some matching old glass in our old house's aged windows. Greg was so compassionate and he understood: we wanted to fix that window and another at the same time so we could lower the cost. He knows his stuff, pointed out some things that we will need to fix later (like old ropes) and he did a great job. He is thoughtful about potential mess and thinks ahead. Greg is an operation, really, of one. So if you can be flexible on timing, and you'll be around and don't need a really precise appointment, you cannot do better than him. Wow I've never met anyone so capable and prompt! Sam is my go-to guy for all repairs after using him to help fix a kitchen window and glass panel in a door. He did both quickly and correctly and cleaned up all of the glass etc. I asked him if he knew how to keep the window open and he fixed that for me too! Then I asked if he could help me with some doorknobs and he did an amazing job with those. Sam is the coolest. I don't know another repair person who shows up with a gift for your birthday but that's the kind of person he is. Sam was great. He walked thru and gave me a couple options for restoring our 1920's wood windows. Due to neglect we had several cracked panes, and the painters had incorrectly painted shut most of the windows (which causes more damage). He found glass to match the original panes. He waxed the wooden tracks so the double hung windows actually opened from the top and the bottom for proper air flow with ease. Took the time to show me the benefits of keeping these wood windows including how they can shut snuggly to keep in heat better. He repaired any ropes that had unraveled. Ensured I was satisfied with the work he had done. I tell our neighbors that before they contemplate modern replacements, to give him a call. They may find it more economical to keep the windows that were made for the house. read more
