To be completely honest our food was delivered fairly quickly and was hot. However food tasted like it was someone's first attempt at making Chinese food. Pepper steak combo was bland very little peppers, pork fried rice seemed like had missing ingredients to qualify as authentic. The sesame chicken was bland. Wonton soup seemed watered down. The egg rolls tasted like they where freezer burned prior to cooking and had a funny taste to them. Will never ever patronize this establishment again. First time ordering from this place and it's actually really good! Everything tastes fresh, my orange chicken was great and actually tastes like orange... surprisingly that's not the norm, and it came with an orange slice atop. Hot and sour soup tasted good and the button mushrooms were fresh and not the usual canned crap I always see. We placed a simple order. 2 orders of chicken lo mein with white rice (instead of brown rice), 2 egg rolls (included in dinner special), and 2 wonton soups. Came out to $20.75. Delivered around 15 minutes later in Styrofoam boxes and placed in a cardboard box. Looking inside the Styrofoam boxes showed half was lo mein and the other half was brown rice. No soup or egg rolls. They left a menu with a receipt that had everything correct but left the rest out. We spoke to the delivery woman who said she would bring the correct order back. She said to call the restaurant and let them know so they could restart the order. So we did. This is how the conversation basically went. "Hi, we got the wrong order. *Repeats the order and what was wrong*. The driver just left from out house and told us to call." "*Inaudible mumbling* How much?" (That's my best guess of what was said) "I can't understand what you're saying. Can you please speak up?" *Louder mumbling* "I still can't understand. We would just like the correct order *repeats order again* sent back to *address*" "Okay. Five egg roll. Fifteen minute." "No. Not five egg rolls. The correct order. It's on the receipt." *starts chewing on something loudly* "You want *lips smacking* more egg roll?" For what this is. A local take out joint...this place is great. Def the best go to spot in the area, and am surprised there arent more reviews/positive ones. Why is it 5 on my scale? Simple. No mystery meat. The chicken is all white meat and it tastes like its real chicken. Got delivery from Mays last night. Delivery was quick but I must admit that we're around the corner. Nonetheless I was pleased with how fast they came because I was quite hungry. I got the dinner combo which comes with a meat, pork fried rice, egg roll and soup. The general Tao chicken was decent but the texture was a little rubbery. The sauce was the perfect amount of hot. I asked for veggie fried rice instead of pork which was a $2 charge. The rice was good and plentiful. The egg roll was great and the egg drop soup was FANTASTIC. They place is okay. I came here at a whim. I wasn't to impressed. Order sesame chick with ken Rangoon. They are all the same now. Super sweet and super crunchy. The service was fast, polite and kind. Been coming here for over a year. Definitely the best American style Chinese food in the area. Like another poster said - try the "may's eggrolls" - house made and delicious. Their Cantonese style fried shrimp is top notch as well. Portions are big, prices are very reasonable and the staff is great. I think May herself works the register - 24/7. We used to order from here but they were recently in the news for unsanitary conditions and rodent activity.

Ah-so Chinese food here not so bad, make me glad. This place may not look pretty but the food isn't bad. It's suited for takeout and they do deliver. It's fast, efficient, cheap and reasonable. The wife and I mixed it up and ordered the chicken chow mein, spring rolls, ribs and sesame chicken. Some things looked better than others, but all tasted a bit better than other Chinese restaurants we've tried. So if you haven't tried this place throw them a bone. I tried this place for the first time tonight and must say this is probably the best Chinese food that I have had in the area. Delivery was quick, the food was hot and the staff was friendly. I am very picky about Chinese food and this place did not disappoint. My sister and I got the General Tao Chicken with fried rice. She got the Egg-drop Soup and I got an egg roll. I went to Mays kitchen from a friend recommendation. It's not really an eat in type of place it's more of a togo takeout. My friends dish he said was excellent. My dish was the egg foo yong and it was eh. I will say I am picky about my egg foo yong but this was just really "bland" not much flavor. Other then that the people are authentic and really nice. Just move to Pompano a couple of months ago. Tried a couple of the takeout Chinese restaurants in the area. Some egg rolls were good but the spare ribs were bad. Others the opposite. Couldn't find any consistency indecent Chinese food. Drove by this place and it looks like a dump. But I tried it anyway and I was very surprised how delicious the food is. The place is nothing fancy but they serve good honest Chinese food just the way I remember it growing up in New York City.
