    Takeout dinner
    Julie F.

We had the distinct pleasure of attending a wonderful dinner party with friends with takeout food from this Chinese restaurant. It was coincidence that it took place in time for a celebration of the Lunar New Year. This "hole in the wall" restaurant has been in Pompano for as long as I can remember. It's set back off Federal Highway. I've driven past here a million times, but it always looked too shady to stop at -- even though I'd read some good reviews. This party invitation was a perfect opportunity to try their cuisine when one of the hosts had highly recommended them. We got to try their Singapore rice noodles, beef with snow pea pods, a chicken dish with scallions (?), boneless pork ribs, and moo shu pork with pancakes. Although the rice noodles dish is usually one of my favorite dishes and I liked it, their version when we tried it was a bit too spicy for me to have more than one serving. My favorites of the evening turned out to be the pork dishes -- both the boneless ribs and the moo shu which came with soft pancakes and hoisin sauce, as well. Portions were large enough that we all got to bring home extra servings. I'm so glad we finally got to try their food. Now we can comfortably try more of their menu in the future.

Consistently good. Great value. Large portions. NYC Style. Wings are great. Mongolian Beef and Curry Chicken are exceptional.

    Dessert from another mother.

Sometimes those little hole-in-the-wall, stick your nose up places are the best gems in disguise. Max and I are lucky to have wonderful friends who said that we should meet at their place for Sunday dinner. Each couple chipped in and had enough for take home after the takeout. The dessert in the picture is from another restaurant, but it was the best compliment to finish stuffing our Buddha bellies.

Delivery is very fast & friendly food was hot and fresh, chicken wings are extremely crispy. Came with a variety of sauces except for hot sauce, which was disappointing but the mustard was good.

It was good but there were a lot of pepper in my soup and in my dumplings. They don't have plain noodles but with peanuts.

I was in the Pompano Beach area and remembered there was a Chinese restaurant in the Garden Isles Shopping Center. The parking spaces fill up quickly during the evening; luckily, I managed to find one. A pleasant employee greeted me and took my order for a quart of house special wonton soup. I asked the employee if he had fried wonton noodles to go with the soup, and he confirmed that he did. The small restaurant had only a few tables if you chose to eat inside. It offers a wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices. I received my order within minutes and immediately headed home. As I pulled the container out of the bag, I was pleased to see it filled with not only wontons, but also shrimp, chicken, roast pork, carrots, broccoli, snap peas, scallions, celery, and mushrooms all in a flavorful broth. Now this is a wonton soup I can thoroughly enjoy.

I knew after these starters the meal was going to be exceptionally delicious. I had the orange beef and my wife had the snapper. I didn't mention the Mai Tai and the lichee Martini which were made perfectly. Earnest is a great server who is professional all the way throughout the dining experience. We will return to this not inexpensive establishment but worth the money. Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale is limited and this is steps ahead of Christine Wong. Needless to say the restaurant is beautiful and very comfortable which enhances the dining atmosphere.

It's in a different type of location -- a very small strip of businesses with only a few spots in front -- in the middle of a residential location. We were driving by between lunch and dinner and decided to stop to bring some food home for a later meal. When we stopped by, we got to meet the owners and chef. They were both very welcoming and friendly. He told us about some special meals and made suggestions. He was preparing some blue crabs for his own lunch, and they looked wonderful. You can get some special meals here, off menu, if you preorder. We went with a couple of our usual choices so we could see how they compared. We ordered some pork with Chinese vegetables and an order of Singapore rice noodles. Plus, for me an order of egg roll. The rice noodles were such a large portion that it filled two containers. And we wound up eating several meals from our take home food. The eggroll was very good. I ate one right away! There were two to the order. It had a different crispy wrapper -- it seemed house made. And it was filled with larger bits of meat. I really liked it. There was a lot of large flat pork slices in with the vegetables. In a brown sauce, there was broccoli, bok choy, pea pods, etc. It came with a side container of white rice. The rice noodles were fragrant with curry, but it only had a slight kick (as in not too spicy). There were lots of shrimp, chicken, and pork strips mixed in with the thin noodles. This dish was addictive. We are so glad we stopped to try them. Really one of the better Chinese places we've tried and certainly one of the better take-out places. Wish they were closer, or we'd be there more often.

Delicious and so kind. I got the chicken and broccoli dinner combo. Will definitely be back!read more
