    Egg Roll
    Edi A.

I ordered takeout from Doordash. I ordered the small portion of the beef lo mein add an eggroll. The noodles do not taste like lo mein noodles. It tastes more like spaghetti it don't get much eggroll for $2.75. I have now tried the egg roll but it's not very impressive. The order came to me hot. Just tried the eggroll and there is nothing in it. Disappointing experience.

    Pork ribs combo

I had a coupon for Uber Eats and this restaurant was one of the ones that participated. So after looking at the ratings, I decided to give them a try. It's a bit far from my condo, but they did deliver from Pompano to the Galt Mile, no problem. I ordered 2 combo meals. The spareribs and the roast pork. Both came with chicken fried rice and egg rolls. The flavor and the amount of food were very good. The ribs were tender and meaty with plenty of meat to chew on the bone. The roast pork was pretty lean and there was a good amount in the container. I definitely would order again or get take out from them. The prices are reasonable and it is a good choice for Americanized Chinese take out food.

Food sucked. Pad Thai was super sour for no reason. Egg drop soup had barely any egg in it. Don't go there!

Always excellent food with generous portions. Preparation is fast and reliable. So far is my favorite Chinese takeout place in this area.

Now I have to admit, when my butcher recommended their "crispy steak," the idea of a fried steak was NOT particularly appealing to me. But I decided to give it a try anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised! The prime New York steak is only lightly dusted with water chestnut flour, so it's not heavily battered or greasy at all. It just gives the outside a gentle crisp while the steak itself stays perfectly tender. It's thinly sliced and served with sautéed peppers, onions and cabbage in a garlic, soy and burgundy wine sauce. Really, really good! I ordered mine to go, and I have to mention their packaging because I don't know WHAT kind of magic they're doing with these containers, but my food is always still super hot after the 10-minute drive home. Not warm--HOT, like it just came off the stove. I definitely appreciate that with takeout. While I was waiting for my order, I also took some time to admire the many awards displayed throughout the restaurant. Rainbow Palace is clearly an award-winning restaurant, and judging by that collection, they've been collecting accolades for YEARS! The Crispy Steak does cost a pretty penny, so this isn't exactly your inexpensive neighborhood Chinese takeout. But the quality of the ingredients, preparation and portion definitely feel a step above your typical takeout spot. Another delicious meal from Rainbow Palace, and apparently I need to keep working my way through their menu!

TWO HOURS to have dinner. Our waiter was practically nonexistent. He rarely came to the table, there was no meaningful communication about why everything was taking so long, and we were basically left sitting there wondering if our food was ever coming. After all of that, they had the nerve to charge us full price. No meaningful attempt to make up for the ridiculous wait or the terrible service. When you go out to dinner and are paying restaurant prices, there is a basic expectation of service. This didn't even come close. Two hours. Almost no service. Full-price bill. Completely unacceptable. I would never recommend Rainbow Palace, and I absolutely will not be back.

I was told it was available, but when we arrived, we were told the ducks had already been sold. First they said I had not reserved it, even though I called ahead. Then they said I had not paid in advance, but this business is cash only and no one explained any advance payment requirement on the phone. We ended up wasting about an hour and a half. In the end, we went to Enson Market in Plantation and were able to buy roast duck there. Their staff was helpful, the duck was handled cleanly, and the quality, taste, and price were just as good. It's in a different type of location -- a very small strip of businesses with only a few spots in front -- in the middle of a residential location. We were driving by between lunch and dinner and decided to stop to bring some food home for a later meal. When we stopped by, we got to meet the owners and chef. They were both very welcoming and friendly. He told us about some special meals and made suggestions. He was preparing some blue crabs for his own lunch, and they looked wonderful. You can get some special meals here, off menu, if you preorder. We went with a couple of our usual choices so we could see how they compared. We ordered some pork with Chinese vegetables and an order of Singapore rice noodles. Plus, for me an order of egg roll. The rice noodles were such a large portion that it filled two containers. And we wound up eating several meals from our take home food. The eggroll was very good. I ate one right away! There were two to the order. It had a different crispy wrapper -- it seemed house made. And it was filled with larger bits of meat. I really liked it. There was a lot of large flat pork slices in with the vegetables. In a brown sauce, there was broccoli, bok choy, pea pods, etc. It came with a side container of white rice. The rice noodles were fragrant with curry, but it only had a slight kick (as in not too spicy). There were lots of shrimp, chicken, and pork strips mixed in with the thin noodles. This dish was addictive. We are so glad we stopped to try them. Really one of the better Chinese places we've tried and certainly one of the better take-out places. Wish they were closer, or we'd be there more often.

Delicious and so kind. I got the chicken and broccoli dinner combo. Will definitely be back!read more
