They offer dim sum, so we had some roast pork buns as appetizers. The buns had very little filling and the bread was a bit dry, as if the buns had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. (They are displayed in a warmer as you enter the restaurant.) There is no lunch menu on weekends, so we ordered from the regular menu. Prices averaged $17 to $20 per entree with seafood options averaging $23-$25. All meals are served with white rice. There are no options to switch to fried rice, unless you want to order it as an entree. My friend loves orange chicken, so that's what she ordered. Since the eatery is touted for its roast duck and roast pork, I ordered the latter. We shared both. The pork was a bit salty and a tad dry. And it needed more of it's glaze. Though I am not a fan of orange chicken, this was one of the best I have had. It was sweet, but not overly done. And the coating was light and crispy. The portions were large. We both ate and took home leftovers for our husbands. Service was spotty and rushed with only two people taking care of all the tables. I never got a straw for my glass of water, and it took a few requests to get chopsticks. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was about $57.

I used to come here often, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I called ahead to…read morereserve roast duck and told them we were about 20 minutes away. I was told it was available, but when we arrived, we were told the ducks had already been sold. First they said I had not reserved it, even though I called ahead. Then they said I had not paid in advance, but this business is cash only and no one explained any advance payment requirement on the phone. We ended up wasting about an hour and a half. In the end, we went to Enson Market in Plantation and were able to buy roast duck there. Their staff was helpful, the duck was handled cleanly, and the quality, taste, and price were just as good. This experience made me realize there are better options nearby.

This is a 2 hour drive from my house so not a place I can come very often. They are a local family run to go business, no dine in allow. Some people may be put off by the unfamiliar meats hanging by its neck into display window or in a saucy gelatinous bin but if you're Asian, this is closest thing to home cooking.
