Service was very friendly, prices a little high, but bbq is crazy these days so you kind of expect it. Tried the three meat plate, with a side of bbq beans and cornbread. Ribs: tender, not fall off the bone but great rub! Brisket: rather dry but I wouldn't throw it away Corn bread: dry and did throw away Baked beans: delicious!! Great little spicy flavor. Hot links: my favorite part of this dish! Wasn't a standard flavor, not too spicy, and had a great snap to it. Overall, decent experience, nothing to write home about. Very limited seating, stools only. Come hungry, good size portions.

Place is smallish, but there's a counter with a few stools if you want to eat inside. Service was very friendly & efficient. Brisket was good -- tender and moist. Nice bark too. Ribs had a smokey flavor, I liked the rub they used. But a few were borderline tough. Collards were excellent. Overall, this is decent "northern Q", I would definitely come back again if I'm in the area. Thomas' Smokey Pit Stop BBQ is a solid 4 Star rating, IMO, and that's coming from a guy who consumed a lot of Q in northern Alabama when he lived down there.

I have tried burritos, tacos, and taco salads which have all been delicious and filling. The ingredients are fresh and the food is made to order. They also sell their own packaged bottles of habanero hot sauce that is very spicy and I add to all of my food. The meals come with chips and salsa. The parking lot can be hectic when its busy and it can be tough to find a parking spot but it is worth it.

We had the birria tacos, beef tacos, Al pastor tacos, the queso and chips and churros. All of the meals came with a little portion of salsa too which was perfect I will say the queso did not seem like it came from the restaurant, but instead like a velvety. Still enjoyable. The tacos were pretty cold when they arrived, but I don't fault the restaurant and the beef tacos were supposed to be crunchy, but again everything tasted perfect. The highlight of this order was for sure the churros. They were so delicious. Not warm at all but so so good. My friend who doesn't like churros and thinks they're dry, absolutely loved these because of the filling and the chewiness. Divine. I would come back just for those. And next time, I would eat in the restaurant itself as the delivery made everything a tad less fulfilling. All in all, I will be back. Thank you Three Amigos!!!

Decades earlier, Sneideman's wife said that he should make his own restaurant called "Skyscraper", in reference to New York City. Sneideman didn't end up opening a restaurant, but he did spend over 25 years in the culinary field where he spent time managing fast-casual restaurants. Eventually he decided that he wanted to work for himself and an opportunity for a new food truck came along. He finally had the chance to use the name "Skyscraper", and the focus of the menu became New York-style deli sandwiches. Many of the sandwiches feature corned beef or pastrami, such as 'Reubens' and 'Rachels'. Skyscraper Sandwiches can usually be found parked at breweries, wineries, farmers' markets, and various festivals throughout Connecticut. Sneideman is often assisted by members of his own family. My family and I sampled some of Skyscraper's delicious sandwiches this past autumn. We were visiting Long View Ciderhouse in Southington and Skyscraper Sandwiches was the scheduled food truck that day. I can't say no to a good Jewish-style deli sandwich. After looking over the menu, I ordered a "Turkey Cranberry Melt" (hand-carved roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, tomatoes, melted Swiss on grilled rye), my wife ordered the "Reuben" (pastrami, Swiss cheese, truck sauce, and sauerkraut on grilled rye), and our older son ordered the "Pastrami Grilled Cheese" (pastrami, melted Swiss, sweet onion jam on grilled rye). These were huge sandwiches and very filling! The meats were delicious as well as the rye bread that they use. The sandwiches paired well with our cider flights. I really hope that I run into Skyscraper Sandwiches again!

What a terrifically constructed sandwich with great ingredients. The rye bread was awesome and expertly grilled. The turkey was outstanding and good juicy. And check out the pics and see the unique way they grooved the turkey. Loved it. The Swiss - melted! The coleslaw tasted fresh and provided the needed crunchy texture. My one small note - I could have used more Truck Sauce (said in a Christopher Walken voice). It was a bit hard to pick up with the substantial stack of other ingredients. Skyscraper indeed! 4.5 Stars with a round up to 5. I'm watching you Skyscraper Truck

I'm sick today so I decided to do a little takeout. I'm in the mood for Indian food. This…read morerestaurant is located at 1250 Burnside Ave in East Hartford at the former Marco Polo's. I'm starting it out with sambar. Sambar is a flavorful, lentil-based stew that's a cornerstone of South Indian cuisine. It's typically made with pigeon pea lentils (toor dal), tamarind, vegetables, and a fragrant spice blend known as sambar powder. The dish is often tempered with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies. Sambar is known for its rich, aromatic flavors and diverse variations across different regions. This is a bit spicy and very salty but I one it! Next up, I'm having a [vegetarian] samosa. A samosa is a crispy, fried pastry that originated in the Middle East and is popular in South Asian and West Asian cuisine. The savory snack is made with a pastry-like crust and can be filled with spiced potatoes, peas, onions, meat, or fish. The filling can be spicy or sweet, and the shape varies by region, sometimes triangular, crescent, or cone-shaped. It is often served with a couple sauces. These are good! The light green one is called a green chutney. Green chutney is the most common sauce served with samosas, which is made with a combination of cilantro and mint. Other options include mango chutney, tamarind chutney, tomato chutney, or raita, which is a yogurt-based sauce. This can be a bit spicy. The brown one is a tamarind sauce. Tamarind sauce, often used in Thai and Indian cuisines, is a condiment made from the pulp of the tamarind fruit, known for its unique tangy, sweet, and slightly sour flavor profile. This is less spicy and very tasty. For my appetizer, I'm having the Baby Corn Pepper Fry. These are battered baby corns that ate stir fried. It is quite good and nicely garnished. For my entree, I'm having the Gongura Chicken Kabab tandoor. Gongura, also known as sorrel or roselle, is a leafy green vegetable with a tangy flavor, commonly used in South Indian cuisine, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, to make chutneys, pickles, and curries. It's boneless, well seasoned and mixed in with purple onions and green bell peppers. Be sure to add the lemon! This is fantastic! Easy to eat and very light. For dessert, I'm the Carrot Halwa. Gajar ka halwa, also known as gajar halwa, is a beloved North Indian dessert of grated carrots cooked down into a pudding-like consistency with milk, sugar, cardamom, and sometimes ghee. The word gajar means "carrot" in Hindi, and halwa refers to the porridge-like texture. This sweet treat is often made during the winter months when red carrots are plentiful, and can be served warm or cold as a snack or dessert. This is a low cholesterol, delicious dessert! I love these guys!
